Black Incense

This is simply amazing; great scent and performance. I bought this at their Samad Al Qarashi boutique store in Qatar and then bought several bottles more. It has a resinous and balsamic vibes that remind me of Cartier's L'Envol mixed or the balsamic vibe as found in Le Labo's Tonka. Finally, this intriguingly resinouse and balsamic scent is kissed by an agreeable/tempered oud accord as found in Gucci Guilty Oud. Perhaps this can be considered unisex but I would have to disagree with this leaning in any particularly feminine direction. My only critique is that while the bottle and presentation at opening is quite imposing, the longevity of the bottle is questionable.. my bottle after about 1 year started having issues with the sprayer and would leak with travel.

To me this is all about a light pink rose. Effervescent, light in feel but not longevity or projection. It’s a long lasting, spring/summer scent with hints of patchouli (not in pyramid above but absolutely there) and amber to add depth. Super linear. It lasts a solid 6-8 hours and projects for much of this time. I find it a bit tougher to pull off for me and I’d find it much nicer on a woman. Classy scent for sure. 8.25/10. Worth a sniff if you like very well done rose for the spring or summer time. Well priced for the outstanding quality.

Having been exposed to people from middle east on a daily basis, i have already smelled something similar especially on the dry down from other middle eastern perfume brands. What makes this stand apart is its initial blast of sparkling fizz. Imagine the feeling of being showered(immediately upon recklessly opening the cork of a zinfandel rose champagne) by the burst of effervescent summery goodness of rose - but not that feminine kind of rose. Men in the middle east would wear this more than women.

This is a value for money freshie / citrus fragrance that projects very well and lasts couple of hours (above average for a citrus fragrance). The scent profile is similar to other fragrances 5 to 6x its price. You get soft rosy-lemon at start and violet-vetiver at dry down. Very fresh and extremely pleasant. Unisex, Versatile and Office Safe! Shukran Habibi!

It is a really good perfume. It has a unique smell and it is one of those perfumes that you want to keep smelling it. The performance is really really good and also it has a great sillage. Got it for 92$ with 50% discount. It is 185$ originally

Ine if tge best smelling perfumes that I had but it lasts 1 to 2 hours and the projection is weak too

This is not Black, it's PINK... It is branded for Men, but to me this is unisex, even leaning more to the feminine side. In fact, this was something my mum bought for herself in Dubai's famous shopping mall, and give it latter to me because it was too overwhelming for her. Lucky me... It starts with a fresh, citrusy, fruity rose, with a little violet and jasmine, and could have same hints of saffron. Some sweet incense in the base could be found, but nothing smoky or churchy at all. This is not an incense perfume. It is a rose one. Also oud is not really there, and the amber just appear very soft in the dry-down with some short of dry woodiness, but not oud. I can smell patchouli, and some hints of vetiver, but they are not listed. This is a happy fragrance, quite laud (you will be noticed), and uplifting. To me it is young, uncomplicated and a little bit pungent, but not in a bad way. There are many times that they provide 50% discount in their site, in all of their offerings, so the price-tag can be very reasonable. To call this fragrance beast mode is an understatement. My husband wears this, and it smells elegant, fresh and seductive on him. However, he uses one spray in the morning and it lasts all day until he comes home at night. Even though Oud and Rose aren’t listed, it smells like a fresh (non-powdery), dewey rose. It must be the Geranium giving the rose- type scent and a deep, rich, saffron note giving off a strong, oud-like scent. Think TF Rose Prick with lemon and Oud. The dry down is a mix of saffron and exotic musks while the lemon makes this fresh and bright on the initial spray. My husband mixes this with Jo Malone sage wood and sea salt oil to mellow it out and he has people complimenting him all the time. Just know this fragrance is not for the faint of heart and 1 spray is all that is needed or not can easily become headache inducing.

Imagine if Montale had quality authentic ingredients when he was making his Black Aoud. This is it...

It is a beautiful rose, but too much feminine for a man.

Smells very fake. Does not last and has very low projection. A big disappointment. Very bad quality especially for the price.

A rather refreshing , sweet, and sparkling fizzing patchouli with a nice rose cedar opening and a juicy watermelon papaya note that goes around the resins and the incense in a way that makes this perfume very interesting and unusual. The incense is very soft, almost unnoticeable. Also has like a cooling, mint feeling. A morning, afternoon summer fragrance. inviting, unisex, and made with great quality ingredients. Moderated projection and silage. The Brown incense release is missing from the database.

Very light, airy yet crisp pink rose petals. It is delicate yet strong at the same time. It lingers on you and creates a beautiful scent bubble, leans more towards the feminine side. This could be an amazing date fragrance. It will keep you wanting for more. It gives me a feeling of a beautiful autumn evening with plains of bright pink roses around a lake. Soft breezes hitting you with the fragrance of fresh bright roses. Middle eastern version of Declaration d'un soir.

These perfumes line smells like scented water feel texture but their performance are good, overpriced like ASQ always do mostly. Do not expect something black or heavy or even incensey, I tried the black and the brown, they have the watery nature feel like with flowers and some woodness but different profiles, leaning fresh, nice oriental flowery woody scents. To my nose, Black Incense is like the Middle Eastern version of TF Noir de Noir. The chocolate accord in NdN is what makes it sexier, darker and more appealing. On the other hand, BI has more pronounced oud that makes it deeper, richer and more mysterious. I always say that BI is NdN on steroids!😍

I totally agree with @tysontornado review. This is an amazing scent. I'm not really sure why it is targeted to men, because it definitely leans more feminine. I'm so impressed with Black Incense that I just ordered a second bottle.

Caution this has been water down now, just like safari Extreme from Abdul Samad Al Qurash. Not much potency left. Longevity max 4 hours, after one hour becomes skin scent.

This has definitely been reformulated with safari extreme.. 1-2 hrs moderate projection lasts around 6-7 hrs
