Jewel Blend

I love ASAQ very much, to me they are one of the TOP 3 (together with Xerjoff and Henry Jacques) brands and I tried 95%+ of ASAQ fragrances, some are nothing special but some are very stunning from the first sniff and in fact the more you sniff, the better it gets. It is hard to explain what it smells like, but this picture with rubies indeed fits this perfume very well - when you sniffing it - the smell reminds you of rubies or of something red and a bit sweet, like strawberries, I really have no idea how ASAQ did that, but it is very beautiful. Contains a lot of oud, as you can feel effect of it if you apply too much. I believe words cannot explain perfume smell, hence I'm not going to write big poems about how it smells.. Just I manage to get a picture of what are the ingredients of this beauty and here they are officially from ASAQ catalog: TOP: flowery, rose, jasmine, white lily Mid: orris, jasmine, flowery base: ambery, pure aged oud, woody It is really hard to think about any other perfume which would fit ANY OCCASION of cold winter nights.

STOP EVERYTHING! This is some serious stuff. A super dark and dry concoction of aged oud and musk with just a faint floral presence to round things up a little bit. Warm leathery / ambery facets provide extra body while the oud-musk combo is left completely free to express its mesmerizing power. A perfect mix of smooth animalics, sort of barnyardy woody notes and dry amber. Yes, it might result a bit challenging if you don't like the genre but, instead, if you're into hardcore woody-musky stuff a-la Leather Oud / Aoud Cuir D'Arabie, you CAN'T miss Jewel Blend as one of the best offerings from ASAQ's middle range of fragrances. Powerful, insanely long lasting and, considering its origin, even reasonably priced. Big thumbs up! Rating: 8.5/10
