Safari La Femme

Perfume smells like vanilla amber and a *hint* of rose with a ton other notes and it’s just heavenly! I was given it as a gift and it is easily my favorite smell I smell it every time I pass by it and it never gets old! 😆 the price was definitely a shock to find out but for something so lovely I’d definitely buy it again when I can afford it!!

The notes on Fragrantica seem to be completely wrong for this fragrance. The actual notes are: ambergris, woody notes, white musk, rose, oud, vanilla. I bought this is person in Saudi Arabia. Not gonna lie, I fell in love with the mesmerizing bottle and box rather than the juice itself. Don’t get me wrong, this fragrance is definitely niche quality, the composition is beautiful and the longevity is impressive. However, I generally struggle with ambergris in fragrances and Safari La Femme has a lot of it (that is also what makes it unique and memorable). Overall though, this is a very sweet, warm and feminine composition, with a particular saltiness that lingers. It is definitely not super oudy or rose-forward. It doesn’t smell similar to anything I’ve owned or tried before. It smells like a rich and seductive dolled-up woman. I definitely have buyer’s remorse over this, but I still think it’s a fantastic composition. Just not one that I’ve been reaching for a lot. But don’t get me wrong, ASAQ has many challenging compositions, this is not one of them. It’s unique but still somewhat a crowd-pleaser and a compliment-getter.
