Tobacco Body Oud

Incredible perfume. I wasn't expecting such high quality. It does remind me of YSL Babycat Raw Bourbon, MFK Grand Soir, Nishane Ani, and YSL Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli (the last one only in the drydown), but it is better constructed, more complex, and more rounded than Ani and Grand Soir. The Tobacco Body Oud has many different layers and a beautiful movement throughout its course. At first, you'll smell a punch of tobacco, but it lasts only five to ten minutes. Right after, you'll notice the vanilla rise, along with a touch of an elegant floral note and some well-rounded spices. After 30 or 45 minutes, the high-quality vanilla takes center stage. However, there is some amber that appears discreetly but makes a difference. At this point, you'll experience a beautiful and perfectly crafted twist, with no sudden drops, jumps, or failures. Excellent work! The Oud arrives smoothly to reveal your face, transforming the fragrance into a soft, comforting element. By then, the perfume becomes a lovely plush bed of vanilla, amber, and the silkiest Oud imaginable. This stage lasts at least six hours. You'll enjoy six hours in bliss, and the perfume remains vibrant and politely projects around you (at arm's length). When you think it has ended, another pleasant surprise awaits: a new stage! During this phase, you'll encounter a delicate, mature, and polished sweetness. This sweetness reminds me of the drydown of YSL Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli, and it is beautiful. The vanilla, at this point, becomes calm and subtle, gently making way for a green tobacco that smoothly revives and reemerges alongside that beautiful, sweet, and silky Oud. As I live in Brazil, I only wear it for 10 hours. Up to that timeframe, the perfume was alive and projecting at arm's length. It has never screamed or filled the room. What you will get is consistent performance and projection throughout its entire life.

I just purchased this from the Abdul Samad store in Dubai yesterday. As a lover of Tobacco notes, I think this is done very well. The opening is very potent so you must time your sprays carefully especially if you're about to go out in public or at a social setting. The dry down is very smooth and quite luxurious. While I reference opening and dry down, this is still a linear oud/tobacco fragrance, as most usually are. I'd say this is smoother than Red Tobacco, and a more luxurious potent version of Mystery Tobacco. I'd say 7 hours of projection, winds down to 2-3 feet by the end of it. I was able to snag it at a great price at a mall outside the city, but if you try to purchase it at a big busy mall in Dubai, the price will probably be double. Getting it from their online store and delivered locally will get you the best price. Objectively 10/10. Subjectively 9/10. 1 point off subjectively because it doesn't do anything different enough than the Tobacco fragrances I already have in my collection.

I have both ASAQ Tobacco Body Oud, and Triumph of Bacchus, and side to side, for me is very difficult to differentiate which one is each. I dont want to call this one "a clone" but I have to say that the quality of Tobacco Body Oud is so good, and being in the same family of perfumes, that is very difficult to differentiate between them. Only for reference purposes smelling close to the skin I can say that Tobacco Body Oud is less sweet, which in my case I prefer (the other one is delicious but extremely sweet for me). Longevity and silage, is extremely good on this one. Definitely an excellent purchase if you enjoy the same Triumph of Bacchus style of perfume, or even if you want to have a similar experience at a lower price (at least for a non-trained nose and average person, I truly cannot find difference in quality).

Notes listed here are wrong, but it's pretty hard to pick up on the missing ones anyway. Very much tobacco & oud, but there is a slight linear sweetness going in. The dry down keeps these 3, and adds a balsamic vanilla smell which does smell similar to whiskey. Really good fragrance, but not for everyone. Performance and projection are insane as expected when you have literal oud chips inside the bottle. Not much you can say about it, as this is a basic scent but simply done masterfully.

My first Middle Eastern fragrance and also my first oud based one. Punchy, dense tobacco and oud with some lighter, sweeter notes to balance it out. Really powerful and beautiful scent. The tobacco in the opening is intense and can be a little sickly sometimes, but it softens up with the lighter floral notes becoming more apparent. I really love this fragrance 🥰 Also a really nice long-press atomiser for precise dosage, which brings me onto the performance...☢️NUKE CITY☢️
