Pink Iris

This fragrance a traditional fruity, spicy floral with a sweet musky dry down. The raspberry/basil and pepper opening set you up for the creamy, powdery iris and rose bouquet. The dry down is a soft musky vanilla w/ the top raspberry note, spicy basil/pepper and the mid notes of the powdery florals never leaving. This perfume performs and performs. No need to reapply, it lasts all day. Clothes still smell of it after washing. If people tell you naturals don't last and can't perform like synthetics they haven't tried the Abel brand. These naturals get the job done!

You gotta get past the opening. The opening is so spicy it’s almost soapy, with the mingling of pepper and basil. The magic happens about 15 minutes later, when a very sweet raspberry iris emerges. This is a pink cotton candy scent if you wait for it. So beautiful. I don’t love the opening, but I don’t mind it either. I’ve only tried the EDP but I’m curious to know if the same transformation happens with the extrait

If you want something that smells like the real thing, look no further. Smells like the embodiment of Spring and is simply stunning.

Quite unique. It would be wonderful if it lasted longer

I like this fragrance, however it doesn't last on me. I can only detect it on myself for a few hours: first 2 houra like it should, the hours after only a very faint drydown. Sometimes I can detect it on clothing however the day after. Disappointing performance. The scent itself is nice and not as pronounced as expected. More of the subdued and inoffensive kind. It does smell good on me, and my husband agrees. Upon first spray, I immediately get a flavorful ripe raspberry. Leaning towards hard raspberry candies, a little nostalgic, without being sickly sweet. Because in the opening the sweetness is toned down by the herbal an spicy sichuan peppercorn note. It is quite strong but I like it. Then the raspberry starts to mingle with the orris and musks. However, I don't find this a very powdery or irissy scent at all. At most, the orris and musks bring some fluffy softness to the raspberry. No lipstick or powder box. If anything, I find the rose and maybe some of the jasmin to be more prominent on me. Summary: nice fruity raspberry with fresh spiciness of sichuan peppercorn embedded in a soft orris&musk cloud, with whisps of rose floating by. Not that adventurous, but an easy to grab fragrance. And you can spray both liberally and often, because it doesn't really last...

This little lady surprised me. I'd been searching for a composition that paired up Raspberry and Iris, when I stumbled across Pink Iris.Yay! I was expecting a gentle, floral, fruity, powdery and demure scent. Surprise! What I got was a super fruity/spicy/earthy blast of an opening that will twist your wig sideways! PI slowly calms down and rooty Orris Root and florals bloom while the Raspberry hums along in the background. Hours later, PI has turned into a gentle, floral, sweet and soapy skin scent. The far drydown kinda reminds me of Burberry Brit Rhythm with Raspberry and Vanilla added. This quirky li'l number will fit nicely into my spring/summer fragrance wardrobe for those carefree casual days. I like!

A unique take on orris that focuses less on the powdery soft and dry side of the ingredient, and more on the buttery smooth aspect. Abel does so by turning this into a bit of a fruity floral, jammy rose and raspberry leaf give the impression of berry fruits, sweetened with vanilla, and tied together with musks to meld perfectly with beautiful, sandalwood-esque orris butter. Smooth, sweet, intoxicating, and surprisingly potent, I cannot sing praise enough for Pink Iris. Sadly, it is just not a fragrance for me, but I would buy it as a gift in a heartbeat.

This is such a cute, girly, sexy fragrance. For some reason I think of the vintage pinup girl, Bettie Page, when I smell this scent. It's cute, fun, sexy, and a little spicy, all at the same time, just like her. Maybe it's that raspberry bubblegum opening that's contrasted by the sexy jasmine and boudoir iris dry down that is giving me that vibe. Whatever it is, this is a cute girl blowing out a big pink bubblegum bubble while giving you a seductive wink. A little too youthful for me but I think some girls out there could really rock this.

This is very beautiful to me. I only have a sample but I used the whole thing. I tried it without looking at the notes first and my nose was confused-I thought I was smelling licorice for quite awhile there but it was the basil. I think I would like it better without the basil, but it's still a soft feminine perfume. I'm not a fan of soapy perfumes and this was not too soapy for me. To me it's a very classy, romantic perfume smell, and different than what's out there. Does not smell "designer-ish" at all.

Abel Odor's Pink Iris is such a pretty, feminine fragrance. It is creamy and sweet but not juvenile. The pepper note lends the whole composition a sharper and more modern aspect, like smart tailoring juxtaposed against romantic lace. Raspberry is typically a note I avoid, but here it is more sophisticate than sorbet. Unabashedly pretty without edging into frou frou, this is "new new romantic".

I thought this was quite nice, and liked the almost sour raspberry note on first spritz. After a few moments I liked it even more as this settled into the more floral-herbal part of her personality. But, I applied this liberally and after only 2 hours she is GONE! So far nothing from this brand lasts on me, which is very disappointing.

A different take to an orris perfume as it opens with a burst of juicy raspberries and you might think it's your typical girlie scent. Which it isn't, the fruitiness stays for about half an hour and then it becomes a soft woody violet with some herbal nuances in the background. Like it a lot but unfortunately it doesn't last long.

A strong sweet opening. I get a blast of pepper too but quickly settles into a sweet powdery smell. It doesn’t last long on my skin, gone within 2 hours. A gentle sweet smell. Nice but nothing to write home about. The sweet leans to sickly.

An almost literal shock to the nose at first, then fruity, settling very quickly to a nice sweet iris, no powder.

This is reminding of a few spicy iris/orris combos -- all of which I am not particularly partial to -- Korres Saffron Orris, ELdO Putain des Palaces, and Carner Rima XI. Some irises I adore, others smell truly too lotion-y or remind me too much of the iris in J&J products. This one goes J&J, but with a peppery edge- which feels like edgy newborn. If you name your baby Jagger, perhaps this is the type of baby cologne you'd reach for for them. Otherwise, it's a combo I think rarely works and in this case, also does not. It makes it neither soft enough nor peppery enough to satiate either craving.

I really liked this at first as a peppery raspberry musk scent. It is reasonably strong compared to other Abel scents I’ve tried, and I received a compliment from a coworker when I was wearing it. However after wearing it a few times I began to find it somewhat nauseating and headache-inducing. Unfortunate.

This was a disappointment for me. I love iris and I get that there is natural orris here but the scent is more like the base of a modern feminine Guerlain than it is a fully worked out perfume. “Pink” is correct as raspberry and vanilla play red and white to a beige, muddy orris background. Because the Abel style is so subtle with blurred edges and soft voice, perhaps iris isn’t the best subject matter for them to cover. Like the scents of gardenia, papaya, and mango, iris only smells great when you include the more challenging details of its’ scent, the tinge of cool, flinty, woodiness and such. Without it, it’s just sort of blah.

Soft, a little soapy and demure, I think this would have worked better without the raspberry note which smells synthetic to me. Pink iris is balanced, but I think that’s also working against it. I wanted a clear note to rise to the top, instead all the notes are evenly mixed.

Extremely soapy and powdery, very much in the same line as viloresi Teint de Neige, another perfume I can't stand. It's a dislike for me. Next.

I got a sample of Pink Iris many moons ago and decided to revisit today. I am glad I did. This perfume feels entirely feminine. in a classic and stereotypical way. but I mean that as a good thing! it is girly in a womanly way. it feels polished and reserved. extremely powdery in a "i have a big white puff in my purse to powder my nose at any given moment" type of way. floral only in a "im getting flowers thrown at me on stage" type of way. Think act 1 Nina Sayers in Black Swan. Essie's ballet slippers nail polish. it comes across to me as a calculated effort to encapsulate the essence of an extremely dedicated and picturesque ballerina in my opinion.

Honestly if you folks want a raspberry smelling iris.. Girls can Say Anything by Zadig and a Voltaire is a good one and around 30 bucks at the discounters.

Beautiful, soft, feminine and easy to wear for any occasion. It reminds me a bit of Kenzo Flower, in the best way possible.

Feels so fresh and powdery, does not last long though and hws medium projection.
