White Vetiver

What Q80 says; "fizzy vetiver, like a sparkling vetiver drink". Man, that's exactly what I was thinking today when wearing it on my wrist. I kept on going back to my hand and sniffing while thinking, this could be a sour-y cocktail. Sour sounds bad for a perfume, but I mean it in a positive way – I'm not the citrus type, but I do adore vetiver and the blend in this fragrance is perfect. I love the scent. To me it's definitely Abel's best. Can't say anything about the projection yet, as I have only been wearing it a couple times. I have the 1ml sample without atomizer, so it's hard to add it to my skin evenly. I'm thinking of buying a bottle as I feel this really fits me. Just not convinced about the longevity yet. EDIT: bought a full bottle!

Y'all have those scents in your collection that you don't reach for anymore often, but when you do you just question yourself why you don't? That's white vetiver for me. Quite sadly discontinued now, as part of Abel's idea to keep their offering small and collected. Late spring, early summer, you could not go wrong with this. It opens very citrussy- & limey, followed by a long-lasting combination of prominent earthy vetiver and vanilla in the background. It's grounding, refreshing and great for any close setting due to its moderate sillage and scent bubble. Longevity is good as I can consistently smell it after a full day's work. Amazing offering by an amazing house. 8.5 / 10

Like the other vetiver fragrances I’ve tried, this also is not long-lasting, though it maintains it’s hold longer than most. White vetiver by Abel is one of the brightest vetivers I’ve experienced. The lime and mint come through up front and it settles into a nice green vetiver base. This one is much cleaner and not as bitter or dry as what normally comes to mind when thinking of vetiver. Overall, I like this quite a bit, but it’s not my favorite vetiver.

Bright, smooth, and clean. I love the lime, and touch of Vetiver. Beautiful opening, continuously impressive dry down. Performance is about 2hrs on my skin with vague hints for another hour. I'm not sure about projection without having someone else to ask. I would get a bottle if it lasted longer.

A fresh, beautiful take on vetiver. A burst of cool lime start this zesty cocktail off, as it transitions over the next few hours to a true, rooty but fresh vetiver. Nags of mineral ambergris and ginger zip in and out. A lovely fresh vetiver fragrance.

It's quite simple - if you love vetiver you'll love this. The opening is delicious - frothy natural lemonade with a sprig of spearmint. Then it becomes a lightly smoky, lemony and astringent natural vetiver. To me this is a joy, because I love vetiver. It's relaxing and uplifting at the same time. A gorgeous fragrance to spritz over your clothes in the hotter months, with the added advantage that vetiver keeps the bugs away! Big like from me. Moderate sillage and good longevity, though it becomes more of a skin scent after an hour or so. Still, re-spritzing is a pleasure. I think this is expensive, but excellent quality.

A sharp citrus combined with an earthy vetiver equals this beautiful aromatic. Like others from this line, it begins as a natural interpretation of the listed notes. Over its short burst of life—less than 2 hours— it turns into a vetiver and ginger perfume, losing power then fading into a soft skin scent. That’s the trade off with Abel perfumes, natural v. performance. Nothing synthetic means this fades fast. Like all the others I have sampled, I really like it.

Citrusy, sharp, classic vetiver freshness. This is a modern scent with notes of lime, lemongrass, ginger and mint designed to compliment one of the cleanest, purest vetivers in the market in a traditional Eau de Cologne style. If we talk about uniqueness, we must admit White Vetiver is just as appealing as it is forgettable but, overall, it feels like a classic, transparent, sour, classy, simple, and timeless natural creation.

Smells good overall opening is extremely limey and tart. The dry down smells very rubbery because of the ambergris it almost smells like you’re wearing a limey rubbery tire im not sure how i feel about it it is unique and very unlike anything i’ve smelled. The rubber scent is pretty strong so if you don’t like that than i would say this isn’t for you this is all opinionated i recommend you getting a sample before buying.

I like this one. Leans masculine but it is a nice fresh lime scent w/ a woody spicy dry down. I know some people think this line is over priced but for those of us who have allergies to fragrance it is nice to have a line like this that is well tolerated for sensitive people. I personally think the price is fine because the quality of the ingredients and the performance you get is excellent.

This opens up with a blast of mint, ginger and lime, like a summery vetiver cocktail. Once the top notes fade, this is pure, unadulterated vetiver, so it requires a real love of that earthy, grassy, slightly sour scent. It's pretty masculine, but the composition is simple enough that it could probably be judiciously layered to make it more feminine or darker depending on personal taste.

I get the whole "fizzy vetiver drink" reference, it really is like that. One thing that surprised me about this fragrance was how earthy the vetiver smells and mixed with the citrus it makes a wonderful scent for the warmer months. Performance on my skin was about average.

This is a lovely, bright fragrance which starts off with a strong zing of citrus, followed by a gorgeous ginger middle, and slightly nutty vetiver base. Very wearable. I was surprised by the longevity and sillage given it is totally natural. Overall: 8/10.

I like it quite well. For some reason in the opening I smelled an Indian curry. Thank goodness that wandered off after a half-hour. The lime here is lovely and sharp. Points for uniqueness for sure. Probably would not buy this but enjoyed the sample.

Nothing to dislike here and it'll likely be the first bottle I use up. A very serviceable fresh scent with decent longevity. However, for what it is, this one, like the rest of the line, is massively overpriced.

I initially loved this the most from the line as the opening is simply wonderful. But quite soon it becomes a close and distant skin-scent that's like aromatic lemongrass. Nice but too shy in its performance.

Fresh, a little bit bitter and calm. It has unique botanically sense different from floral and fruity.

A nice ginger and bitter citrus but nothing to get too excited about here.

My favorite vetiver this summer of 2023. It feels like the perfect foil for what has been a messy, complicated, over stimulated year. White Vetiver is straight forward, uplifting, invigorating, with all it's notes presented clearly and honestly. It has a simple mission, and and carries it out honestly amongst a world of clutter. I'm in complete agreement with all the reviewers likening this to a summer cocktail, or fizzy green vetiver drink. The top citrus, lemongrass, and ginger are like cool summer breeze cutting through and clearing out a humid, dense fog. With a lot of wildfire smoke settling in cities across the USA, this one cuts right through the brain fog and smoke haze beautifully. White Vetiver provides a similar feel to the level of refreshment from a ice cold cocktail or zingy lemonade after a sticky, dirty day. My favorite cocktail is a mix of rye whiskey, fever tree ginger beer, angostura bitters, with lime and thin slice of jalapeno. A summer ritual after a hot humid day involves a cool shower, followed by a few sprays of White Vetiver in tandem with the aforementioned cocktail. Highly recommended, as the flavors all meld perfectly. Just skip the whiskey if you don't drink...just as good. The performance is soft compared to aromachemical laden heavy hitters, but for me this a feature, not a bug. It's nice to spray this on clean, and be able to wear another fragrance, and not have some heavy basenotes lingering in hot summer weather. The vetiver does stick around past the 4 hour mark, and for me that is acceptable, especially for a natural composition. There are always trade offs in life, and for me, White Vetiver negotiates them beautifully. Out of all of Abel's line, White Vetiver is the strongest composition, with Green Cedar, and Grey Labdanum following. This one is a strong recommendation for anyone who loves vetiver, has an aversion to modern aromachemicals, and wants something light, citrusy, and refreshing with an earthy green vetiver counterbalance.

very refreshing and summery, I have the sample pack from Abel is this is one of my favorites so far. This, the santal and the grey labdanum. I have been exploring all natural organic type perfumes without the fixative chemicals, these are real winners!!! I plan on getting several bottles, they sell the 15ml and 50ml at Twisted Lily. Until recently there were not available in the USA
