Authentic Night Homme

This is problematic. Why? Well - I’m 36 years old. And while Abercrombie will always have a nostalgic spot all to itself within the deepest corner of my heart, we parted ways at my high school graduation in 2002. So besides feeling a little too old to wear this, it’s also problematic because I really enjoy it. I realize I brought this on myself. Ok yea. It’s super sweet. Ultra male type sweet. But there’s something weird beneath the sweetness that’s extremely alluring. Almost as if Fierce DNA is hiding in there - waiting to sneak out and release rugged sex on everyone. For the record, fierce came out while I was still in college - so I’m allowed to talk about it. Nevermind the fact I was on the 5 year bachelors program ;) Alright. Time to get serious. This stuff is really nice - forget the name - forget your pre existing bias or hatred - solely based on the smell, it’s fantastic. Yes, there is a “fierce undertone” - that’s a fact. However - this scent is about Tonka and lavender. With that said - the fierce undertone is what makes it so intriguing. If this were just a sweet Tonka and lavender scent, it would be trash. I’ll wear it. And when people ask me what it is? Well it’s guerlain, of course. 30 bucks on eBay for 100ML - full presentation (which is nicer than most scents you can get from the Macy’s counter) I’m all in on this one. Nearly guaranteed to triple in price over the next few years - like most Abercrombie scents do, so don’t wait too long.

A mouthwatering, spicy, leathery, woody, fresh, and edible scent that goes playful and classy at the same time. Totally in line with the brand and very modern smelling. The night vibe is present since it goes sweet. Well blended and balanced. Reminds me instantly of the pre-reformulated Ultra Male that had strong leather and juicy fruits. But it does it’s own thing and is classier and softer than any Gaultier. Also a little Armani Stronger with you. I also am thinking about Eros (from the tonka and vanilla) and Armani Code Absolu (from the sweet apple with leather). Not as strong as these other fragrances, this is a fresh and pretty safe take on the modern fall scent for nightwear. Sillage is good, it wants to escape my skin and mingle. Longevity is not the beast you want it to be. A sweet and leathery scent profile should have been a little more amped up for night wear.. The bottle is 10/10. Beautiful, classy and dark and mysterious like the scent. Also I like that they did a transparent lid, sort of a reference to being authentic and not hiding anything ;) I’m 36 and I don’t care about wearing teen scents. However, I think this smell is for a grown man with taste. I find it pretty mature for an A&F scent. No compliments yet but these times you hardly can get compliments.

Been wanting this one for a while, glad I waited until I found it shopping around because it’s not worth the inflated prices it was first going for. Not a bad fragrance by any means, will definitely get some use during these colder months. I don’t really smell any of the comparisons listed above *directly* but this definitely flows in the same direction - sweet night out/possibly date night fragrance. Has a bit of Brigit fruitiness to it too, which I’m guessing is the rhubarb and that makes it a little different than the rest. Presentation is solid, strong magnetic cap with a faux leather embossed label, nice gradient bottle that really coincides with the fragrance. Paid $30 for a 50ML and I’m completely ok with that. Decent fragrance IF you like the style. PS- really annoying when people hate on fragrances without any reason whatsoever. Not helpful...at all. If you feel THAT strongly about it, maybe you should have some sort of argument for the *don't buy* that will help like-minded would-be purchasers. jMO

I had to register to point out that this has nothing to do with Ultra Male (which I own) and has everything to do with Fierce (which I owned). Bought my 3.4 bottle from eBay for 38 bucks and I tried it arrived yesterday. So this is just like Fierce but a bit darker/sour. I will say that it projects well and has a sillage of about 2-4 feet. I used it last night at 9PM after gym in my inner elbow (2 sprays) to test it, then I took a shower about an hour and a half after. At that point I could still perceive the Fierce aroma until I went to sleep an hour later. Right now, it is 1 PM and there is a noticeable sweet fragrance that is on the skin of my inner elbow that doesn't project but it is so good when I bring my nose to that spot. So overall I can say I love this one. It is a good release by A&F and I will say it may please the crowd that misses the original (before reformulation) Fierce or any new comers that would like to try what Fierce used to be like.

Gosh, this is good! Percival/Fierce/Montblanc and BR540. Who's the perfumer? We need to know because it might be an idea checking out his/her other work. Forget the price - it's an absolute steal. This is the kind of stuff you'll find in handsome niche bottles that sell for $250. For me, Authentic Night retains most of the union of the fragrances mentioned above throughout the wear, which lasts an excellent 10 hours - longevity is no issue on me. By the way, Authentic Night does come in an attractive bottle - presentation is quality. Authentic Night is an addictive masculine fragrance that works year round, in all situations. It is different, yet familiar. This just works. In some way I'm fine with this fragrance not being hyped. We'll keep its splendour to ourselves😉

Pleasantly surprised by this one. I had never come across it before but spotted it at a discounter for a great price and decided to blind buy. I had high expectations based on the reviews, and those expectations were met or even exceeded. It has a strong Fierce DNA as its backbone, unmistakable from the first spray. Over that familiar base is a refined, sweeter layer that blends gourmand, woody, and amber accords. Projection and longevity are average. I would not call it either an easy or a challenging wear, but it feels especially well suited for fall or cold. Honestly, it seems like it should have been released as a Fierce flanker. It captures the essence of the original far better than any of the official flankers such as Fierce Night or Fierce Confidence.

This is a great fragrance from A&F. Best way to put it is it smells like fierce and baccarat rouge 540 fused together and you get authentic night. This DOES NOT smell anything like JPG Ultra Male, almost didn't buy it because of the people voting for the similarity, but glad I ignored them because this is a banger. If you like either one of the fragrances I said this smells like then you will really enjoy this fragrance. Yes it has sweetness but can easily be worn year round and in high heat. Overall authentic night is a very solid fragrance and I would recommend you to purchase it if you can find it for a decent price. I give authentic night a 9/10

I bought this from a discounter and couldn't be happier with what I got for only $27 USD. Don't get it twisted, this is Fierce+Baccarat Rouge, I'd say 60 and 40% respectively. In other words, this smells like a layering of Fierce and Baccarat Rouge that works great for dates at night, or even in cool weather during the day. It's sexy and yet, funny like the original Fierce, but with a twist that will always work. Hidden gem. Performance is lackluster, specially projection wise, but due to its price, applying it consistently won't be a problem at all

This is not about vanilla. Its about fruits and tonka imo. And yes, one can definitely smell some fierce in this. It is marvellous, just way better and more pleasing than most releases with 5x price tag. I get different impressions at different moments smelling this, meaning it is a bit complex for what is a kind of joyful juvenile, spray and go type frag. But lemme say; it is very good at its worst and perfect balanced at its best. I love this fragrance.

Absolutely love this stuff. I originally got a sample of this, and I loved it. I have sampled Baccarat Rouge 540 a couple of times, and I would say it's about 95% similar. The big downside of this is the performance, it lasts 4-6 hours on my skin with moderate projection, it's not bad in performance, it's just not really good either. But you can just overspray this, as it's quite cheap. I love this stuff, and would definitely recommend it.

This is a very nice scent, very unique, perfect for someone in high school. Perfect for informal nights and evenings. My only complaint is that it doesn't last long, on my skin it lasts around 3 hours before turning into a skin scent. But very nice, very sexy, very bold scent. It just has this one note that is just so unique and pleasant. Amazing cheapie.

Instant Classic! What a perfect scent! Surprised how good it is! it's kinda mix between cold/warm notes and they made it so good! addictive stuff. it's kinda like Caramel meets citrus notes but both very unique.. very delicious but not clingy a must try imo. p.s. this has nothing in common with "Legend Montblanc" nor "Fierce Abercrombie & Fitch"

Very nice scent the longevity on this one is crazy 10h+ on skin. But here’s the best part – the compliments. Seriously, every time I wear this, I get so many compliments from the ladies. They love it! It’s perfect for a night out, whether you’re hitting up a bar, going on a date, or just hanging out with friends.

This one is really good. I can see the comparisons to BR540 but it's definitely not as sweet. Some sweetness for sure but such a pleasant smell. If you come across this at the rack stores I highly recommend. Musk, vanilla, some leathery florals.. Really good cheaper pick. Can't go wrong with this one.

This strongly reminds me of Tom Ford Fucking Fabulous, but less sweet and less deep. It shares very similar notes such as the tonka bean, leather, clary sage and lavander so I would suggest that is where the resemblance comes from. Overall its very decent and very nice. The presentation is amazing.

It’ll have people wanting you to bend them into a pretzel. It smells a bit like cloud but it’s much stronger and has a bit more of a fresh edge. It’s still extremely sweet, almost cotton candy sweet. It’s extremely addictive and lasts days on clothing. It’s dirt cheap. Need I say more?

This is a sweet fragrance for night outs , clubbing etc. I smell a mix of tonka and vanilla along with some lavender. It smells somewhat similar JPG le male but more sweet. Nothing groundbreaking but not bad either. Overall its a sweet fragrance made for mass appeal and compliments.

A & F Fierce and JPG Ultra Male or Polo Red. That's it. Nightflight? Not really...I can see someone coming to that conclusion but no. TF F*king Fabulous? Again not really. If you have smelled Fierce and Ultra Male you will pick it up right away here. It is a 50/50 mix.

This is a really good fragrance overall and good bang for buck. Has really good silage first couple of hours and tapers off to a soft and sweet Fierce. This is on par with Ultra Male in terms of likability. Sprayer is great and has magnetic cap.

Strong Everyone in the car I entered noticed it and complimented it. Maybe because it was weird and they complimented it because I applied too much, in a way to ease the tension. Or it was simply a good fragrance. However, I love it.

Idk about other sizes, but 100 ml got probably the worst sprayer I have ever had, but the scent itself is awesome, a cross between Ultra Male and Baccarat Rouge 540 (more male version of it, I would say)

Theres something alluring about this scent it has the Abercrombie smell but its sweeter and more youthful. I love the rhubarb note in this one and the price is unbeatable for the smell/performance 9/10

FANTASTIC! Right off the bat you get the original abercrombie and fitch fierce, (not that reformulated mess they call a&f fierce now) with a little br540 sprinkled in. Beautiful, polished, scent.

Just got this today. As the previous reviewer mentioned, this is like JPG Ultra Male mixed with Fierce. It’s not as loud as Ultra Male, which I really like. Overall, a solid release from A&F.

This is fierce mixed with 20-30% BR540, with an ozonic (abstract/airy) feel. This was one of the oldest frags in my 150+ collection, and it is simply how I described it.

Fierce with a fruity twist. Nearly impossible not to like - if this lasted longer would be top tier. Still really good - I think 50ml is like 40$ 10/10 would recommend

Very powerful projection! Superb smell of smoky apple and vanilla. It definitely has this celluloid BR540 note, but it is not a clone of BR540. Magnetic cap!

Smells like a more masculine version of BR540. I think it's superior. If you take 25% MB Legend and 75% BR540 add a little leather. You get Authentic Night.

THE CLOSEST YOU ARE GOING TO GET TO THE A&F STORE SMELL! GREAT FOR ROOM/CAR SPRAY ALSO, JUST BUY THE BIG BOTTLE. RESPRAY AFTER 4-5 HOURS. GREAT STUFF!

This stuff is awesome. Fierce up close but BR540(ish) in the air. Performance is pretty decent considering it's A&F and was under $40

Night smell, winter smell, a really nice smell! Surprisingly good, sweet which becomes fresher later. In my opinion, it is unisex.

In my opinion this has a rather sweet smell. Reminds me of candy floss

Fist of all, both Authentic and Authentic Night have a dreadful atomizer, much worse than those used in fragrances that cost much less. It puzzles me why on Earth they paid attention to everything, including a magnetic cap, except the atomizer. As for the fragrance itself, it is in the same ballpark as Fierce, Montblanc Legend, Trussardi Uomo, etc, especially when it dries down and the oakmoss and leather become the main players. What sets Authentic Night apart is the opening, when you can smell something like burnt sugar and candied apple. But the lavender and oakmoss prevent this from becoming too sweet. The final result is a traditional men fragrance with some modern touches (probably not enough) that has a good balance of freshness and sweetness for cold and warm days. By the way, this has nothing to do with Joop! Nightflight. Pros: Well-balanced fragrance. Traditional with a twist. Good performance for an edt concentration. Cons: Flawed atomizer. Similar to many others.

My first perfum and I enjoyed every spray of it. This perfum was for the most part just vanilla. Very simple and I would say this perfum would suit younger individuals for the most part. It is long lasting and with strong sillage, so maybe not suitable for school or work, but definitely good for clubbing. It is not as deep and sophisticated as other vanille perfums (like Tobacco Vanille fx.) and I do in no way see it as an intimate and date night perfum. I sadly ruined it by having it stores in a warm room during summer, a combination of my stupidity and its cheaper ingrediens. Still, this perfum is very cheap, you could even buy a 30ml of it! I would recommend Authentic Night as a solid starter perfum for teenagers, for the price, it has a very good performance, beautiful bottle with magnetic cap. Its a little cloying but very rich. Hard to go wrong with this $30/$40 perfum!

When I wear this, I'm transported back to my days over 10 years ago, wearing fierce. This is way smoother and a little bit sweeter. The sweetness is a really well executed balancing act between the common woody notes and vanilla, tonka. It's really good, simple and addictive as previously stated by others. It lasts all day but doesn't project out too far, which makes it an easy wear in the office. You can dress it down or up if you wanted but I probably wouldn't wear it in high heat under the sun. I pick up the florals least and later in the dry down as compared to the sweet and woody notes. There are some powdery vibes and the blend is beautiful, so I assume that is their contribution. From my collection, I think this is better executed than my Mont Blanc Legend (original), Ed Hardy Skulls and Roses, and Kenneth Cole Mankind Hero. I really like it.

Authentic Night by A&F, is a nice fragrance. A very office friendly scent. The Fierce DNA is there and so is the Baccarat 540. Initially, I get the zesty lotus and apple, mixed with the sweetness of the rhubarb which reminds me interestingly of strawberry-rhubarb pie that's sat for a day or two. Then comes the tonka and lavender with some small amount of leather note, very small. This is enjoyable. I've never owned the original Fierce, I wish I did, but this is good. Longevity is about 5-6 hours on me with moderate-heavy sillage. For the price that I paid $35.00 for a 3.4oz, it's a good deal.

For the folks saying it smells like BR 540 x Fierce they are correct. More so it's the musk from Fierce with BR540 with a stronger light sugary vanilla note. I don't get the green apple (which is one of my favorite notes) or much fruit, but a little bit of the rhubarb. Absolutely unisex I'd say it even leans feminine, but with that Fierce musk I'm not sure how well that would work on a feminine woman. Who is this for? It's super light and pleasant but maybe not interesting enough to hold your interest for a long time.

Really great scent & nice bottle with magnetic cap, but the atomizer is horrendous (3 sprays gets about the same amount of liquid as 1 spray with a good atomizer, it basically dribbles out it’s pretty awful.) I don’t seem to be the only one with that problem. My work around is to fill travel atomizers with it so I don’t have to use the crappy one on the bottle. As others have stated, it smells like a sweeter version of fierce. Really close to how the stores used to smell. Longevity & sillage aren’t the best though.

Recent addition to my collection, and what a positive surprise it was! To me it smells like a more fruity and sweeter Fierce. I can instantly smell that Fierce DNA. I honestly don't get that Ultra Male comparison at all.. Projection is good for the first few hours, and longevity easily 7 hours at least. I also find this to be quite versatile. One of my favorite pickups of 2021 so far!

modern, mass appealing, sweet... trust me, you've smelt this hundred of times without ever trying Authentic Night. it's simply that combination that always works and it's the same story here as well. the bottle with its magnetic cap is nice as well, it's fairy inexpensive and you'll always get at least moderate performance from it. it's a solid like and good deal.

When I heard this smells similar to Fierce, I immediately bought it. I will make this very clear based on my experience: The opening is like if not exactly like Ultra Male. However, when it has dried down it is very close to Fierce, but just a little bit sweeter. It lasts a long time (longer than Fierce I would assume). I've had good reactions from my SO.

Easy everyday wear. Cold weather you can get away with wearing this during the day as a everyday wear. Pretty simple and mild fragrance. The Tonka bean vanilla apple mix is nice. The atomizer is absolute crap tho. Its also one of those that you need to spray quite a bit of it to get the most out of a wear. 6.5/10. Nothing too crazy but also not bad.

I dont get any BR540 here, but I do agree this is a sweet and fun modern refresh of ‘Fierce.’ Since I exclusively wear ultra gourmand perfumes, I purchased this for a masculine scent I could easily throw on for events where I cant smell like a cupcake. Worked perfectly for the funeral I had this week 😇

This is a great scent, very well balanced. I get the sweetness from the tonka and vanilla, the woodiness from the cedar, and the spiciness from the cardamom. The longevity and sillage are both great, and it's an all-around great fragrance. It's also very affordable, which is a huge plus. 8.5/10

Yeah I mean it’s good. I like it— reminds me of my GF’s Cloud mixed with Fierce. To me, it’s for cool weather almost exclusively. Maybe I’m too sensitive, but in warmer weather I get almost asthmatic when I wear this. For less than $30, it’s a nice find for a cool weather/night time scent.

This was a surprise, a pleasant one! To me Authentic Night is a blend between Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch and This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire. The well known Fierce DNA with creamy vanilla from This is her in the background. Lovely!

Sexy, deep and fruity. Toned down with a refined vanilla note and some tonka bean. Floral nuance/undertone. Typical profile but unusually well blended! A lot of fun. Must have designer.

after first wear I am impressed! Smells like dossier's version of BR540 because of the sweet mintiness. That combined with fierce. get your nose on this one
