Away Woman

This is in my top two favorites. I have pretty uncommon taste perhaps, but I love this, it lifts my mood, I actually feel like I am overall happier and more alert mentally when I smell this. So clean, fruity, the fragrance is a great blend. Only thing.... it's almost peppery to me, and I prefer that pepper stays out of all fragrances, as it tends to smell expired when peppery. The dry down feels like a rainbow though. The scent continues to change on my skin over time and I love it as it changes, every sent from first spray, to 5 minutes later, 20 minutes later, an hour later. It is an array of wonderful smells. So anyone who thinks this smells old probably smells the strange pepper note that may or may not be intentional.

I got this tester of 2ml with my last purchase, and it smells so very good! It remainds me of my much beloved Armani Because it's you =)) First comes a blast of raspberries (?), and much delicious sweetness, very nice, but than comes the sourness, it's the red currants and pear, and it triggers my cross-allergy, the freshness iches on my lips and evolves in my mouth, I can taste the fresh berries and the pear, oh-no, but, after a while, it still smells very, very nice =)) I will spend every drop of this nice perfume, and will give it 8 points, minus 2 for the unesssesssary sourness, and I think it's perfect for everybody who loves sweetness and sour berries =))

This is a very warm scent to me, with some fruitiness, but no sweet fruit: to me it has more of a sour hint, like wine but softer. The jasmin doesn't come out at all, which is fine with me. Smells clean, round, somewhat playful, optimistic and makes me feel female but not in a sweet way. To me it feels unassuming, but confident and fun. I like it in warm summer weather.

This fragrance is really yummy, fun and bright. It has a richness to it and isn't sharp. It is really delicious and if you like sweet scents that have some staying power then I would definitely recommend.

On my skin it smells really fresh, no sweet at all, great every day scent for warm weather. Unfortunately it’s not very long lasting.

Normally I do not enjoy the overpowering amber in perfumes, but in this one I think it blends really well with the added fruits and shy background florals. To me this is a powdery-amber-fruity perfume and it wears well during the day, preferably when it’s below 27C. I have a travel size and it quickly became my signature scent, as it’s quite warm, inviting, sophisticated-powdery and pleasant to wear, an easy reach-out during the day in many occasions. I recommend you smell it first though before purchasing as this unique “powder-ambery” note might not be for everyone. Anyways, because this is not a mainstream perfume and you do not smell this on every third woman, it gains extra points in my opinion. I’m glad AaF came up with this formula.

Received this is a secret scent box. It’s much fruitier than I expected, and I like it much more than I anticipated. The pear and red currant last ages, and project well (I love pear so maybe that’s why I like this). Will update when and if it changes. Edit: stays fresh airy and fruity throughout.

The smell reminds me of Froot-loops.

My first impression of this was, "Oh, amor amor." To me, it smells similar to amor amor by cacharel. They both have currant and amber notes although I think this one is superior. From the notes listed, I expected a more floral and woody composition, but it was more fruity than I generally go for. Honestly, it wasn't that bad, but I'm a stickler for not keeping fragrances that smell synthetic (even if they are, I don't want to be able to tell haha). If that doesn't really bother you, it would be nice for the fall/winter and the longevity was decent. It's affordable, and I'm also a fan of the bottle design.

This was a blind buy...and i should say its an average or mid level perfume.. it was cheap and very affordable..IIts tooo sugary sweety syrup kind of afternotes. It long lasts, but its not giving the vibe i am looking for. Tho the bottle looks good but i don't think i will buy this anymore. I recommmend buy the 30ml and then think about buying big bottle.

This one is sooo sweet. Actually, I love sweet perfumes, but this one is extremely sweet. Don't use too much of it or you'll smell like a fruity cotton candy.

This smell was just like too sweet mandarin syrup plus spicy scent. I don't like it

I LOVE THIS! This is lovely. I’ve had it for 3 years, since I’ve started collecting in earnest, and it is still one of my top 5. I have MANY fragrances at this point, and nothing quite holds a candle to this one because of the sour note identified in the “accords” graphic (although I would like to mention that while “sour” has a negative connotation, I’d be more inclined to id this accord as “tart” rather than sour). It’s lovely and fruity and sweet, and is PERFECTLY offset with this tartness that I cannot get enough of. I’m on a hunt for similar scents; I only wish the accords graphic had clickable links because none of the “smells like” listed here have that sour accord noted. The search commences! ETA: I layered this with In the Stars lotion and spray today and it was wonderful! ETA: I’m trying hard not to speak on this fragrance daily, but it’s hard! I’m on day 3 of the In the Stars/Away Woman combo and it is absolute LOVE! Away Woman doesn’t need any help because she’s a natural beauty as-is, but In the Stars has some holes (the best way I can describe it) and I’ve not worn it much because of the holes, but added to Away Woman and I’m DROOLING 🤤. It’s not gourmand, but it is DELECTABLE.

Skin test, away, summer. This what I call acidy- fruity with green elements feel a bit sharp or ... they have this dry pull in my nose. I don't hate it but i definitely know how much i can stand. So after a couple hours this is like yellow fruity with woodchips, it's nicer than kate spade NY, that one is fruity with green and it's almost as if you syrupy fruit is fighting with the greens which feels acidic. Escada candy - that new one with the heart bottle is a bit the same - i know the notes are all probably different between these three but I get an overall feel of syrupy yellow fruit with woods or greens - think cedar and bark, perhaps a citrus pithy tang happening. Away is a bit dry in the way citrus scents pull, I think it's nicer than kate spade NY and escada candy. The woodchip part I mentioned.. think Hermes twilly type of wood,it's gentle and nicer even in hot summer I've had aboutb5 hours with it and going fine

My first impression of this perfume upon first spray and sniff, was that it was pretty intense and sweet for summer use. I normally like sweet perfumes, but they can become cloying in hot weather. Although when the sour topnotes (e.g. of pear, similar to the one in A&F Authentic) appeared it made it a more summerish and fresh, and I kinda liked it! But as the top notes faded away, maybe an hour later, all I felt was left was what I think is wood and amber note. It kind of made me feel like I was wearing men's perfume. That just made it too "mature" to my taste and I ended up washing it off when I came home. I think it's more suitable for winter use, or for night use. I got the feeling that others would definitely smell it, and I only sprayed lightly, like a half spray on my chest. It felt like a long lasting perfume with good performance. But unfortunately not my cup of tea for the current climate.

You really can never go wrong with any of the Abercrombie and fitch fragrances. They’re so long lasting and each smell so good in their own way. I love the dry down of this as it warms up on your skin. It first opens up very green and cool similar to Peace love and juicy couture but as it warms up on your skin, like an hour in or so, it becomes sweeter and it’s so beautiful. Edit: I smell the current mostly and the green smell is completely gone. It’s very tart and sweet with a slight hint of a mossy musky undertone I get from Into the Stars. The tart sweetness is exactly like Sexy Sexy from Jean Marc Paris. It’s so good and you only need on spray on each wrist and it projects and lasts.

This is a modern take on Estée Lauder’s Beautiful. It’s been too long I can’t tell Beautiful and Pleasures apart. Imagine if their nutritious line geared towards 20’s and 30 year olds came out with a perfume. You can easily slap the Estée Lauder logo on it. I get the cleanliness of Calvin Klein’s sheer beauty without the baby powder notes and replace it with the white florals in Burberry London. If the discontinued Beautiful came out with a reformulated version, you can easily gaslight fellow Beautiful lovers as it probably smells nothing like what I described. The pear is very forward though.

I saw this at Ross a few weeks ago and did not get it. The next few days I was thinking about it so I went back and blind bought it. I tested it and after testing it a few times I kept thinking about the scent. I've had it about 2 weeks and have been wearing it a lot. The pear and fruits are yummy but it has some nice warm notes and also some thing that makes it feel like a mens cologne but in a good way. I think I will be wearing this a lot in the fall and if I continue wearing it and go through it, I'll have to buy another bottle. Update: I'm wearing this again today. I love this!!! 8/25/23

I have a perfume oil dupe of this and wow, I'm surprised how much I like it! It actually smells like Very Good Girl and D&G Rose (the tart-sour top notes) mixed with the praline sweetness of the OG La Vie Est Belle. Now I'm curious to find the actual perfume to compare them, but the oil dupe is very nice. The good thing about it is that it also comes in various forms including linen spray, shower gel, bar soap, and home oil so even if it doesn't wear too well on me (this is smelling it on a clean cotton pad) I can still have the scent around me as I do enjoy it.

I love the sophisticated vinyl vibe this fragrance projects. The pear - red currant combo is very well done. I don't detect any praline note here, so this is not a gourmand fragrance for me. I can imagine wearing this scent for official occasions but also for casual wear when I want to add a chic accent. Is this perfume mainstream? Yes, but in a sophisticated American way, if this makes sense.

I love this fragrance for cold weather. A little bit goes a long way. 1/2 a spritz under a sweater holds the fragrance close to your skin. I am not usually a fan of amber but this one is subtle in the dry down. It's a very nice winter fragrance. Perfect blend of fruity with an undertone of warmth as it dries

This only smells musty and old, like a grandmother who believes perfumes don't go bad. I don't get anything fruity or fresh, just old. Very happy I didn't do a blind buy on this. I would have been so disappointed.
