First Instinct Blue For Her

Straight to the point- I love this fragrance! It ticks all my boxes- like a well balanced dish, this has the perfect amount of salt to sweet, wood to floral, fruit to ozone. It opens masculine with a fruity kick, but as it warms up and dries on my skin it changes. Sweet fruit opens up to salty ozone/sea like notes. Creamy white florals blend with vanilla and the masculine becomes more feminine- a beautiful scent anyone can wear any time. The patchouli is so well blended with the sandlewood that I can hardly pick them out, but you can tell the combo is there, and it is sooo good! One spray on the back of my wrist and I was smelling this for a solid 6 hours. Imo a gorgeous unisex frag. Happy to have this in my collection- and it was a blind buy so I get the benny of that little satisfied feeling. Lol (so ridiculous because I can have 20 fails and 1 success makes me stupid happy!) Sexy, playful, energetic, magnetic...this has me feeling some kind of way for sure!

I have 4 bottles with 2 unopened ones. Trust me, when you first spray it, it will smell like glue, but be patient, it will reveal the smell after 3-5 mins. This is my fav because my body odour is more to the salty side and this perfume just makes me smell better. When its dried up, and suddenly your skin touches water, it smells great again. It has a slightly sweet clean refreshing smell but it doesn't smell cheap. You can layer it with vanilla or any berry fragrance.

This is quite woody! It is most certainly not too sweet and has a nice bite of patchouli. This is a warm and inviting fragrance, but it lies slightly close to the skin which makes it all the more intimate. I'm excited to wear this now that it is fall here in the northern hemisphere.

Gorgeous fragrance. Very feminine and easy to wear, sweet fruity, zesty scent with salty twist. All notes are well balancedanf compliment each other. Long lasting compliments maker. I love it !!!

The drydown is so unique..unusual and beautiful in heat...wearing this today..sunny day...so calming...patchouli apricot ozonic notes...ozonic notes the most

Very fresh and clean scent. Easy reach. Reminds me of Jean Marc Pars Kiss Me parfum.

This is a unique fragrance that I did not expect from Abercrombie and Fitch. It is a little bizarre and yet so wearable. I blind bought this thinking the blue juice and the “Blue” in the name might suggest a nice freshie. Boy was I surprised. It opens very much like a men's cologne with bright, lemony bergamot. Then the marine notes come in and you think you know where this is going when suddenly BAM! Creme brulee and egg custard. First Instinct Blue is like eating a semi-sweet, creamy dessert at the beach. Sandalwood comes in for the rest of the journey. It's so beautiful and unusual that I could not stop smelling myself. None of this might be unusual for those of you into olfactory gymnastics. But from Abercrobie and Fitch, it was a pleasant surprise. Longevity is fantastic at 8 hours. Sillage is close to moderate. This is incredibly affordable at online discounters for around US$25. It’s an absolute gem.

If you fill a bottle with ocean water and add a few drops of jasmine, you get First Instinct Blue for Her. The way I would describe it is a "wake-up" smell that energizes you, it's not a heady, strong scent to me. A&F make great colognes, and I think this scent is more unisex. It's not going to last you the entire day, but people will definitely smell it on you when you first apply it. The bottle is simple and compact, and I like the silver touches.

Lovely fragrance! Airy and sweet, has a relaxed and carefree feel to it. It is soft but remarkable, clean and polished. I was not really expecting to like it, but i do. It is really pleasant and feminine. I recommend it for nice, romantic girls or anyone looking for something comforting and dreamy. I will surely go testing other scents from this brand. Final note: 9/10

I was looking for a relaxing aquatic scent and found this at Marshall’s. It’s a tad sugary which I usually avoid but I think this is perfect for my purposes. I wanted something calming and light for work. It’s salty aquatic underneath a layer of sweet.

This opens as an uplifting, bright, salty, airy, fruity, vanillic blast that brings a smile. The heart is fruity, a little tart & a tad sweet. The base is lightly sweet, salty, woody. It's quite nice in especially for the warm weather.

I like it. Smells like what I wanted the feminine version to be of the men’s aqua di gio by Armani.

This is no doubt the best of the three from the family.The other two were almost unbearable.

I am clearly in the minority here so perhaps there is something funky going on with my skin's chemical balance... But on me this is really very sweet, and quite cloying. The peony and the blackberry are all encompassing to my nose. It smells very girly, and sadly I am getting no ozonic or salt notes - the two scents I was most excited for. Saying that, the sillage and lasting power is pretty impressive given this perfume's price point. This bottle of perfume will be well-received by my 16-year old step daughter when I gift it to her, I'm sure!

Blind buy expecting to enjoy it because it contains a lot of my favourite notes. Unfortunately... was thoroughly disappointed. On my skin, the initial spray produced a heavy berry note with a hint of citrus and vanilla. Overwhelming sweet to the point of nauseating. At this point I was reminded of Victoria's Secret Scandalous (which I thoroughly dislike). From this initial experience, I was expecting really good sillage, but within half an hour, I could only get faint whiffs. The fruit notes went away and in their place was a very pronounced salty scent, with a bit of ozonoic notes. I could detect the underlying patchouli and peony. I think this is what another poster meant by “baby sweat” smell - it’s a combination of sweet flowers with an underlying salty smell. 3 hours later, you can only smell this if u sniff my skin. However it did smell lovely at this point, if a bit generically cheap and synthetic, if you can even smell it at all. Overall, a regretful buy. I don't think the layers meld or match well on my skin. Edit: I tried this again the next day, on clean skin. This time, fragrance faded again after half to an hour. Very strangely, depending on the areas of skin I sniff, I get different scents - forearm closer to wrist retains more vanilla, fruit and flowers, closer to elbow I get the salty, ozonic scent (and in place of baby sweat, smells a little like a wet dog... yuck). This is one weird fragrance.

I blind buy this at TJ Maxx because I know the smell of the classic Abercrombie & Fitch for women that is now very rare or expensive to buy. But this one smells like an old lady perfume. I sprayed it on me and I don't like it so I sprayed it on my mom and she don't like it too. I'm not sure of the notes that give me that smell. I thought it smells like the old time Abercrombie & Fitch classic perfume but this one is really horrible. I like Abercrombie & Fitch scents except this one. Maybe that's why it's being sold cheap now.

My first impression, I'm standing in the ocean and a wave hits me, filling up my nostrils. Later it becomes sweet and a powdery. The salt and sandalwood are intensive while the fruits are not strong enough to counter it. My husband said it remindes him his own A&F men perfume. the silage is good, longevity quite moderated.

I found this scent very generic and rather unpleasant. The salt is not well blended with the rest of the notes and it leaves a very synthetic: reminiscent of male deodorant. It did slightly get better as time went on however the longevity was very poor. Would not recommend.

Not good, it has a really synthetic, plastic smell. It's supposed to be light and airy fragrance, but it's quite boring and generic in my opinion.

Worst blind buy of the year for me. Ohhhh this is awful. I fell for the reviews making it smell unusually sweet. This smells like a strong men's cologne and not a good one. It's so patchouli heavy and thick. I don't think these notes blend well together, at least not on my skin. It makes me want to cough just smelling it from the bottle. I hate being so critical on a fragrance, but this smells straight up vile.

I picked this up at TJ Maxx the other day not expecting to think much of it. I've blind purchased other Abercrombie perfumes there before and wasn't too impressed by them. I don't know when to quit. Anyway, this one surprised me a little. Nothing about the packaging, bottle or name of this perfume appeal to me and I don't usually gravitate toward "blue" scents...I tend to think of citrus, oceany and fruity when I think of blue. From first spritz, like others have commented on, there is loads of salt. Personally, although I said I tend to not gravitate toward ocean scents, I do love saltiness in my perfumes! So, there's loads of salt upfront which is followed up by a semi-unpleasant plastic aura. I thought to myself, "Nope" for about fifteen minutes when the perfume started to change and I honestly thought that I was smelling a completely different perfume. It went from cool, salty and ozonic to plastic...to warm, deep and woody with vanilla and dark jammy fruits and patchouli......with the ghost of salt still lingering. What came to mind when searching for some kind of comparison was that it reminded me of a hybrid of CK Euphoria and Womanity....the Euphoria likeness more dominant in the drydown. I am a big fan of Womanity and I won't say these two are really anything alike so if you love or hate Womanity don't judge this based on that reference. It's the heaping helping of salt and the warm, sweet drydown that they seem to have in common. Not groundbreaking but I like it enough to have worn it three days in a row.....if you knew me you'd be impressed ( I will often change my perfume multiple times per day...too many perfumes, not enough time to wear them all!) My advice is that if you plan to give this a try, give it some time to blossom and morph a little before making your final judgment. Happy sniffing!

at first, this smells quite tart and fruity, almost like grapefruit. i pick up on the salt notes as well, though not very much so. it develops on my skin quite strangely and turns into a moist smell soon after that i can only describe as a sweaty baby lol. it also smells to me much more like a men's cologne than a perfume, which i don't mind but wanted to note. my mom immediately said the same upon smelling it for the first time so i'm really surprised nobody on here has mentioned the cologne-y scent of this. i'll give this a few more shots but i'm not sure that i'm a fan yet.

I love this fragrance. It's not too expensive and it has become my signature scent. I get so many compliments from the opposite sex with this fragrance. I carry it around with me every day because I love it and also the longevity and sillage is not very good. I feel like I have to literally spray it on every half an hour. I don't mind though as it is inexpensive. I love it for day and night, during the summer or winter. I wear it for any occasion and it is perfect for date night.

Absolutely blown away by the quality of this gem. It has an addictive salty accord that works well with my skin chemistry. And it's underpinned by a strong and sweet vanilla. In terms of fruity notes, I get a hint of apricot and blackberry but they're in the background. Excellent longevity and projection. And you can this for an incredibly cheap price. Highly recommended.

Well! I was not expecting this at all. I thought I was getting a fun fruity aquatic with a kick of salt. This perfume is salt salt salt and I'm here for it. The apricot and fig was unexpected but I like it. It's a salted stoned fruit. This is most unusual. Works well on me

Weird, that you cannot vote already.. I tried this yesterday in the stores - you can definitely smell the apricots and a salty accord is there as well, but on me it was quite fleeting. For some reason I felt a slight pineapple vibe there as well.

Probably one of few perfumes that changes as a day goes by. It starts so fresh like the morning: bright sky, fresh air, clean shirt... And it becomes warmer, more "settled down" and sweeter as a afternoon and evening comes. Very interesting!

I was so disappointed when I first smellee this scent and was even more disappointed with the dry down.This scent is so basic with absolutely no depth.Maybe it's my body chemistry but it's a no for me!

Initially this smells salty, aquatic like sea spray. When I catch whiffs of it through the day it's like salted caramel.

Smells like raw egg in first impression.
