First Instinct for Her

This brand is not so common where I live so I have a clean pallette and no judgements towards it. I have not even red any reviews when writing this. I finished early so I decided to go to city center to test some fragrances. I went to the shelf that carries all american brands and I knew I wanted to test Kate Spade Cherie and Abercrombie Fitch My authentic self. I had previously smelled those just from the nozzle of the sprizer and but never on the skin. Happens I was not blown away with any of them 2, so I proceeded to test the boring looking bottle of first instict but I got interested by looking at the deep brown liquid inside and so it happened I was so blown away by sexines and spicyness by this scent. It reminds me of Dior Poison but a wearable one. It does not smell like that but I think it is because of spices that it makes me think of that. It also reminds me a bit of a smell of a smokers car that has one of those air freshener trees called wonder baum. I love that smell. I get good memories of it even though I never smoked myself. Update: I ordered this and the liquid is not as dark as the one I tried at Douglas store. It also smells different and as a matter of fact with this bottle I do get the smell of Flowerbomb but better. I can not imagine any other reason to this other than that the tester bottle had turned. Other reviewers have not talked about the liquid being dark anyways so it must have been a turned bottle at the store. However I liked the fragrance at the store better so I am eagerly waiting my bottle to turn as well.

Though I am always too keen on trying something new and not repurchasing, this is one of the favorite perfumes I ever had, even though it really leans a bit young and I have moved on to more mature scents. It is just so pretty, feminine and delicious. Has something unique and cozy to it, feels suitable for any occasion and season. Even my MIL who generally is not a fan of anything about me, complimented me on this one. After FI, I fell in love with amber. Tonka bean shines a lot too. Longevity is poor, yes, but for this price, you can reapply without worry. I also very much like the men’s FI blue, probably one of my favorite men’s fragrances. Pleasant surprise from this kind of brand.

I want to pay attention to this gorgeous smell. Had a voucher to redeem and strolled along the store. After several disappointing trials this was the fragrance I took home in the end. First impression I had was a sunny spring day when you have a walk in the park surrounded by magnolias, orchids and slightly warm air. The heart is made from powdery orchids, hints of passionfruit while tonka gives the right plenty of sweetness. It has the right balance and it makes you feel so youthful and fresh. I wear it since 6 hours and it's still there - now smoother than in the morning but just lovely. Try try try!

All I get is slightly sweet and floral amber scent. It’s warm but not balsamic warm more like sexy warm so to me it’s especially good at summer nights. I agree with previous comment that this is somewhat similar to prada paradoxe, but it’s just the amber note! they are two completely different fragrances. Srsly amber here is the same as in the prada paradoxe (here the similarities end!)

This is the perfect everyday or office scent, its sweet pretty and very feminine. The notes are well blended and it has some warmth to it, just gorgeous but it does not last long sadly. Its affordable so you can freely re-apply. loveeee

I really love this one. It has a similar vibe to Prada Paradoxe. I will layers these two together next time.

I had a 30ml bottle of this that i just loved and i actually used all of it. So i bought a 100ml bottle, but i feel like it's not the same? Before it used to have great sillage on me and it smelled amazing. The first time someone asked me what i was wearing, it was this. I also felt like it was more heavy so i used it mostly for evening wear. But now it just seems very watered down? I need to overspray it or i can barely smell it on me and it disappers very fast. Don't know why. Maybe it's just me. It still smells good. Maybe more to the younger side which is fine by me. It doesn't really stand out to me anymore though. It's very inoffensive but also nothing special. Overall - i like it, but i don't really reach for it anymore and i don't think i will buy it again in the future

blind bought this as a birthday gift for a very dear friend so was kind of nervous since it's a cheapie. she loves intoxicating vanilla but figured I'll get her something different while still keeping that vanilla vibe with the tonka bean being the highest voted note it did not disappoint, we both liked it. the opening is very floral, feminine and shower clean. It quickly dries down and the tonka bean takes over. shame it turns into a skin scent so quickly, the opening is also a better scent. It smells like a body spray but with a slightly better performance because of the price i would reccomend if she's a girly girl who's not into complex scents.

Es una fragrancia deliciosa. La probe varias veces porque dudaba sobre su duracion en piel, ya que ni bien aplaca su salida se siente suave y pense que casi no iba a durar, sin embargo tiene buena estela y duracion. Es de caracter otoñal y algo dulzon, le siento notas de cafe y miel aunque no estan declaradas que reconfortan al olfato con un aroma dulce pero no cargante ni empalagoso. Si te gustan las fragrancias dulces.. pero no invasivas esta seria una excelente eleccion. Lo usaria para el trabajo, para actividades donde queres estar perfumada pero no invadir con tu aroma. Vale la pena conocerla, es compra a ciegas segura.

Orange blossom opening, very strong, with a hint of citrusy grapefruit. The citrus is fleeting, but the orange blossom stays, so this becomes an orange blossom scent with an amber base that smells like honey. It’s nice, and a much cheaper alternative to the very popular expensive orange blossom fragrances that are popular right now. The drydown is amber honey, and becomes a skin scent after an hour.

Very strong sweet, floral powdery scent. Generic scent that is not offensive but not groundbreaking either. Dry down is sweet and musky and longevity is pretty good. I consider this a successful blind buy as I quite like it but I probably wouldn’t buy this if I had tested this prior to buying it.

I wore this for work for two years, very sweet and amber like. It almost reaches musky but stays on the sweeter end and is pleasant through the dry down. It doesn't end as sweet as it starts out, which makes it nice for day or evening wear.

Nice and pleasant and sweetish, but not outstanding. I had a feeling that the staying power was weak and that turned out to be true. A non-offensive, feminine and casual perfume. I amigine it suits well a young student girl.

Not bad, but not impressive either. Reminds me of celebrity fragrances. It's sweet, the tonka bean, passionfruit and orchid are strong in this. Suitable for teenage girls. It could be worn as very simple everyday scent.

This is alright, but smells like many other scents out there, specifically targeted at the teen/20s market. The salty/sweet aspect of this reminds me a bit of Olympea. And to be honest, Snickers bars.

My cousin wore this scent on a trip and i just had to ask what she was wearing because it not only smelled good but it lasted her for the whole day every day!!!!!! So now i want it

Grapefruit with florals. Light enough. It smells really pink. Actually while testing I didn't notice anythng chemical. It's nice enough. Maybe I should test it one more time.

Very light, nice scent, but after a while I can barely smell it on my wrist. It's grapefruit and some flowers with a slightly oriental note.

Like someone else said, Olympèa missing the salt note. That said, I can’t find anything to dislike about this one, I quite like Olympèa.

This starts out beautifully with interesting layers. The tonka and amber add just the right amount of grittiness - keeping it from being too bland. BUT...after about half an hour it dries down to bland unfortunately. It had the promise of being a winner, but, and it may just be my skin, it just doesn't last very long. Once again...MUST NOT buy cheap and cheerful blindly. It's just not worth it. I had high hopes with the notes listed and some of the reviews, but it's another disappointment.

I don’t agree with the reviews about the longevity being poor. This lasts hours on clothes, I can even smell the next day after spraying it on myself before bed. This is a very pretty, mass appealing, simple floral-forward fragrance with the perfect amount of tonka bean and amber to smooth it out. I get at least 6 hours on skin and I quite like this perfume for the price- even if it is a little boring.

Floral, feminine and pretty casual. I don't think it's very special or unique but it is a likeable scent! Sometimes that's all you need. I think it's nice for teens or younger women. It's pretty light so you're allowed to spray your heart out!

Another regret of mine. Great at first spray, then too strong, kinda powdery and overpowering. Really wished I could return it.

I really wanted to like First Instinct. It's a safe blind buy scent wise. Unfortunately the longevity is nowhere. It only lasted about 30 mins on me & completely vanished. I even asked my partner incase it was only me who couldn't smell it but he confirmed it was gone. I love the flacon though & the magnetic lid is a nice touch.

This is almost identical to sister company Hollister:Wave for Her. Not unpleasant. Lasts about 2 minutes.Total waste of money.

It is a fruity floral, surprisingly not shampooish, but a gourmand-non-gourmand,so if you don't like gourmands but are willing to wait for the drydown, sure, go for First. First part: it's a sweet confectionary run of the mill fragrance. Plainly sweet. Vaguely floral, yes. Lots of praline and vanilla notes. Cupcakes and fruity notes. Smells okay, nothing revolutionary, another vanilla iteration. Blended nicely, second part has a toned down sweetness, no more gourmandise smells overall and a more rounded balm-like floral result. Can't imagine anyone not liking it. Office-friendly, perfume for the girly girl. Doesn't really project and I barely got a five hour wear time out of it. I don't like it

Smells like a teenage male. It’s truly one of the most awful scents I’ve ever smelled. I would say though, I base my blind purchases on avoiding the combo of notes in this one, so I guess I could thank it for that. Every single fragrance from A&F is absolutely awful, they all somehow magically smell like teenage 14 year olds olds after a soccer training. This doesn’t smell feminine at all to me. Smells like maybe a girl who lives in the gym and calls everyone “bro”. I want to erase this from my scent memory. It isn’t disgusting as in, smells like urine or sweat or anything so outrageous, it’s just too revoltingly lifeless and almost like two kids one afternoon hastily snatched their fathers perfume and their mothers and thought to make a little potion. Do not blind buy this thinking it’ll be a sweet effortless daily scent.

Another huge big YES from me to a pink colored perfume :) This is a winning perfume, I love it soo much, like crazy much! It is both soft and delicate but has enough depth of character. I love my tonka beans and orchids, litchi and amber, orange blossom and I don't mind pink grapefruit with magnolia. That's the whole composition. This smells chic and effortless. I can also smell a hint of Guerlanade. A fresh, woodsy tonka bean, beautifully made. Quite comforting, slightly sweet, like burnt marshmallow.

Just got it, more sweet then floral, the passion fruit lasted till the end, for me, the grapefruit balances the sweetness. A bit overwhelming at the first 10 minutes or so but settles down. Sprayed twice on the neck, lasted for 2 hours, added the collar bone and wrists and it lasted for about 4 hours. Got me through a family dinner. Couldn't smell myself but got a feedback that I smell "tasty". Nothing really special but I think it's a good choice for a date/meeting.

Very sweet, powdery and slightly floral. It reminds me a bit of Flowerbomb. Or some other pink, fluffy celebrity perfume. I've recieved a couple of compliments when wearing it, but that's within the first 30 minutes after applying it. After an hour, it's a slight skin scent that's not detectable unless you push your nose up against the skin. It doesn't last, at all. Will be using up my bottle during summer as a body mist.

This is such a weird one in terms of it smelling different all the time. When I first got it, I didn’t care for it. Left it on my perfume shelf for a few months and it smells so good! It’s similar to pink sugar. As it dries down, it’s crazy but it smells like apple pie? Like Inner Angel from bath and body works. It’s lovely. I like how it changes as I wear it. It’s fun and that buyers remorse went away.

I really love the smell of First Instinct it just makes me happy it’s a simple fragrance no bells and whistles. I’ve noticed quite a few here are calling it average and boring I have to humbly disagree it’s a lovely elegant fragrance sometimes the simple things are the best. I’d suggest to sample it and judge it for yourself I’m definitely going to purchase the largest size.

I just bought Ari from Ariana Grande from Ulta and as I was wearing it home, I got a whiff that reminded me of this perfume, First Instinct. Difference is that Ari is sweeter a brighter and way more expensive. Wearing it side by side though and layering them is incredible. It’s so sweet and sugary and girly. I love it! It’s a millennial dream.

This is a very generic beauty counter fragrance. It's nice enough but you won't stand out or make a statement. It'll make a nice gift for a teen that wants to fit in and tell the people her fragrances is by Abercrombie and Fitch. Sweet, unremarkable ten a penny fruity floral.

Is it just me or does this fragrance reminds someone of viva la juicy dna. Oh my god im just simply addicted to this fragrance. Its light, its fresh, its airy, its juicy, its sweet, its girly, its just simply amazing.

It's like flowerbomb's baby sister with a tiny bit of paradoxe. Not as sweet as either, a little more flat and alcohol-y.
