La 13ème Note Femme

A Ligurian mimosa tree in a bottle. This fragrance transported me back to North Italy, were I used to spend all my summer vacations. The little path behind my house smelled like this, I agree with the person who wrote that it smells like summer air. It feels like a mimosa tree, infused by the sun all day is propagating his delightful sweet and fruity smell such an aura of happiness.

LA 13EME NOTE FEMME is a very long lasting scent - 12 hours and even more and skin. It does get a bit cloying, but overall it's a good quality scent. The scent itself is not my cup of tea. I get a very strong note of pineapple, together with honey it gets too sweet and too cloying, a bit too much for me to bear. The thing that also bothers me here is peach - it's not as powdery as usually in perfumes. Here it's...imagine a peach juice, but watered down, so that's the peach you get here. It's not bad, but together with jam-like syrupy pineapple it does not work, too much of a contrast. The heart brings a bit more weirdness - mimosa and sage. What? Why? These two also disharmonise the whole composition and I'm a bit puzzled why they made a choice to include these two together. Drydown is musty, moldy and full of musk with strains of sticky honey and fruits. Not my thing, but worth to try a sample if pineapple and sticky fruits is you thing.

When I walk the street on summer night, I often say to myself: "What if I only could pour this summer air into a bottle and open it up when it's cold outside.." When I tried La 13eme Note Femme, I felt like I opened a bottle filled with summer air. This fragrance is very realistic flower nectar with smooth fruitiness. It's not green fresh but honey-flowery. Yet don't be misguided - it's not a gourmand scent! And it's not tropical. It's like a summer night in Paris, Rome, Berlin - heavish night air, crowded cafes, voices in the window..

Sometimes, I get a strong sage note at the top, fading into a violet-dominant rosy floral. Other times, it reads like a green violet hairspray that I don't like very much. Still other times, the mimosa dominates with the musk. The drydown is a lovely violet mimosa musk sweet amber. The drydown is my favorite part. The unpredictability of the top and heart on my skin, however, keeps this from being full-bottle worthy for me.

I have blind- buyed this perfume after all of the good reviews, but in reality it smells like the cheapest gummy bear candies. This smell makes me feel nauseous.

This is definitely summer in a bottle, but not in the way others have described. Upon first sniff I was immediately transported to a condo in Florida. The kind with tile floors and a balcony with an ocean view. The room is immaculately clean; faint scents of bleach and a fresh, floral detergent on the towels and blanket. A basket of fruit waits on the countertop. Native flowers bloom below. Overall a safe, pleasant scent, but that underlying detergent smell lingers for me. I would not classify this as a gourmand. More of a powdery floral freshie.
