Blue Lavender

I bought this fragrance in my eternal search to replace my vintage Yardley English Lavender. This isn't that. It's a pleasant scent, especially if you like a soft, powdery fragrance. That said, I have two gripes with it: it is very one-note, and I can't tell what that note is. To explain: it doesn't smell like lavender. If anything, it smells like something that wants to smell like lavender, but was made without lavender by someone who never smelled it in the wild before. I'm guessing all the notes described in the perfume pyramid are actually in there, but they all hit at exactly the same time, and stay that way while you wear the fragrance. But there is nothing that stands out for identification, no "dance" between notes. All that said, it's pleasant enough for me to spritz on if I just want a powdery "clean linen" fragrance (although I have others that do the job better). It's also a safe fragrance, as in it smells nice enough when many other things might have changed my body chemistry to clash with my other perfumes, and it's soapy enough that it works to spray on for that just-showered clean smell. The other interesting thing is that it lasts. Usually colognes fade back noticeably around the three hour mark. This one is still quite present on my skin around five hours later. In short: nice enough, but not my favorite.

A very clean creamy lavender. The lavender is especially strong in the beginning. It's a skin scent, fresh laundry, maybe also clean baby. Nothing I would wear outside the house, but a comforting and calming bed scent.
