Vaniglia Fior di Mandorlo

This has quickly become my signature scent, as it is just deeply comforting and I keep getting whiffs of it even 12 hours after my 4 morning sprays. My friend called it out right away, thinking I had returned form being in a bakery and said it reminded her of vanilla trdelnik (chimney cake). It is a more interesting and fluffy vanilla that is not cloying but lingers around me with every move. I wish I was getting some citrus in the opening, but I really can't smell any, mostly just rich gourmandy vanilla and almond and faint sandalwood. I also have a small sample of Dolce Treviso from the same brand, and even though I love it aswell, it can get overwhelmingly sweet. Not an issue with this one though.

Whoever chose the name of Vaniglia Fior di Mandorlo for this scent is spot on. It’s a classic warm, floral, powdery, sweet vanilla with a strong nutty/almondy background. From my memory, I like it way better than Aqua di Parma’s Mandorlo di Sicilia because it’s floral and sweet accents are more pronounced. Therefore, if you’re looking for an elegant, intoxicating, sweet vanilla scent, try this. It’s beautifully made, delicious and fairly affordable. It reminds me personally, from my collection of Kayali’s Vanilla but a bit lighter version of that. Would work for most seasons, so it is certainly a versatile scent. A feminine fragrance 100%. Super underrated scent and brand IMO...

does not last long, smells good but it could be better, it's not smooth enough I feel like it has some jaggered edges that taint my experience with it. It smells like caramelized almonds, a bit reminiscent of the christmas market treat, but airy and not cloying. If it were smoother and lasted longer it would be a force to be reckoned with. Update: It's growing on me... I have been wanting to wear it often. It's sweet, caramelized almonds 100%. I am actually enjoying it a lot.

One of my top 5 winter vanillas. Very aromatic, long-lasting and bought at affordable 1/2 price^^ Performance is great - around 5-6 hour (later only as a very subtle skin scent) - but I prefer it for winter time, as it is really potent and can be cloying in hot weather. As usual I recommend to try a tester (as I have done - 1 tester, later 10 testers from E-bay to get a nice full bottle at the end) to decide if it will be worth your time.

This would be my favourite vanilla fragrance. Sweet note from the almond flower combine well with Vanilla and tonka beans. VERY RELAX. Rather be Unisex.

This is a picture-book cashmere sweater kind of scent — cool autumn and festive winter woven together. Almond and vanilla sit at the center of attention. The bergamot, for once, doesn’t shout; it adds just the right touch of brightness, a gentle citrus lift, like fresh air through an open window. It makes me want to sip a cup of Earl or Lady Grey tea — to sit still for a while and let the world slow down. There’s nothing cloying here. Even though the vanilla and jasmine of course bring some natural sweetness, Vaniglia stays poised and balanced. It’s elegant, comfortably understated, and far from dull — there are too many soft, shifting facets to discover. Tonka adds its buttery smoothness, sandalwood rounds the edges, and musk wraps it all in something woolly and warm. Amber roots the vanilla in the base, lending a certain balsamic depth without tipping the balance. Vaniglia is pure comfort — familiar, enveloping, and gentle. It lingers like a good story, long after the last page has turned.

I had the opportunity to purchase this fragrance at a fantastic price while actually looking for Dolce Treviso. Testing Vaniglia in-store, it came across as warm and very sweet, but on my skin, it transformed completely. There’s a surprising freshness, delicate floral nuances, and a noticeable presence of bergamot. These notes soften the intensity of the vanilla, balancing its sweetness. Thankfully, the tonka bean steps in beautifully during the dry-down, adding depth, warmth, and a cozy sweetness. It also carries a slightly musky and powdery quality that feels intimate and clean. On me, Vaniglia sits close to the skin, soft, comforting and clean. While it’s lovely on its own, I think it will layer and blend well with others. Good everyday/every season and occasion scent! Loves warm and damp skin.

This is a review from a sample. I like this, quite a bit. I've worn it several times over a couple of years but never really had anything to say about it ... there's nothing super interesting about it. The comparison to Vanille Galante is pretty apt, although I find that one more interesting... and somewhat less enjoyable. The jasmine and almond blossom sing on my skin, which keeps it from being boring. There's something about how this performs that prevents it from being too stuffy. It reminds me of a better constructed, higher quality Vanilla Fields. I don't have much else to say. It's an elegant, smooth vanilla.

To my nose it is just like vanilla aroma for cakes, but I'll check another Acca Kappa's fragrances, because longevity and projection of this one are great.

This is gourmet taken to the next level: smelling like a specific dish. From the initial blast all the way to the last whispy whiff - the scent of this concoction conjures up images of a big, fat Black Forest Cake. Although I have nothing against eating this famous dessert I rather not smell like one. I get nothing but a fruity sweet cherry smell mixed with something chocolatelike plus vanilla and sugar. Thats all. Fortunately, sillage and longevity are short lived and never reach the annoyance point where I have to scrub it off

No vanilla sweetness here. I’m so jealous of everyone getting the yummy vanilla! Maybe it needs to macerate for a while...? This is so musky on me that it reminds me of something I’d find in my grandma’s closet. I just can’t.

I just discovered this today and I'm smitten! And I'm not much into vanilla in most cases - but this is what me and I think many people would have envisioned Hermessance Vanille Galante to smell like (from the notes and the look of the bottle), a somewhat clean, pure and natural vanilla with green notes, an elegant and minimalistic vanilla. I do like Vanille Galante a lot but it has less vanilla and more lily (aka banana) than I first expected. This here is its modest—less tropical, and less artistic—but likewise beautiful sister (in my perception).

Smooth and well blended, Fior di Mandorlo doesn't have the initial blast of alcohol apparent in some cheaper perfumes. This vanilla is the edible, pannacotta type, ala Prada Candy in the drydown. It is not boozy ala Guerlain SDV nor is it leathery ala Shalimar. This is a simple but high quality vanilla fragrance. It also reminds me of the vanilla perfume oil I bought while on tour in Cairo. Sillage is weak but lasting power is amazing. This is very easy to love.

The almond blossom in this makes it smell cheap and sickly sweet. The opening citrus I also am not a fan, I really don’t like citrus vanilla scents unless it is balanced by other notes, like in Shalimar Cologne.
