Aclus

Aclus was launched in 2015 and brings, in its concept, the process of inner metamorphosis, the evolution of the soul in the maturation process. The inspiration speaks of a mysterious grove, where the trees themselves could not move, but offered their hair, as a home, to the birds that flew among them. In this place, however, a black prince had his abode. He was an envious wizard who, at one point, saw his universe change through the power and compassion of elves and fairies. Aclus' fragrance is woody-aromatic and was created by the Italian perfumer Arturetto Landi, creator of more than 100 fragrances for brands such as Diesel, Pantheon Roma, Café-Café, etc. It carries top notes of bergamot, and Sicilian lemon, which open the way to a dense and opulent body of iris, tolu balm absolute, davana, labdanum, and cardamom. In the base of the olfactory pyramid, notes of Oud, Gurjum balsam, guaiac wood, and cypriol have been combined. Once it touches the skin, Aclus doesn't reveal much uniqueness, truth be told. It's the kind of fragrance that I've felt, years ago, in other Niche Perfumery brands. But this is not a demerit, because the citrus DNA of Italian creations – rich in Calabrian bergamot – has also been (and continues to be) copied all over the world. And unlike those that portray the Middle East style, in this fragrance, that famous combo of rose, saffron, and Oud (which I also love!) gives way to a delicious mix of buttery iris, creamier than earthy, with soft leather. The Oud note is rushed and is noticed from the beginning, revealing sophistication. It endures throughout the evolution, with its facets of chocolate, until it finds gurjum (also known as Indian copaiba), which gives depth and fills the environment with balsamic nuances. A scent of damp woods embraces the skin and brings a sense of comfort and mystery. Aclus is quite a perfume, especially for men. It is a compilation of bottled adjectives, such as woody, engaging, luxurious, and seductive. However, the performance is not breathtaking. I say that because there are people who see the Oud note and already think of a dominant fragrance with a kilometric trail. It's not the case! On my skin, the fragrance loses projection quickly and stays close to the skin, although it impresses when sprayed. But the durability is excellent, passing 12 hours (and surviving more than 24 hours on the olfactory tape, during tests). Undoubtedly, a more obscure creation. It makes me imagine the figure of a wizard living in an enchanted forest, who becomes a cosmopolitan citizen of Milan when crossing a portal. Be aware, for that handsome man at the coffee shop has deeper secrets than his lips as they sink into an espresso cup.

Lime and European style oud. This is a close to skin scent that shouts masculinity at peak. lapdanum, balsamic, oud, and lime. Very interesting although i never thought that it would turn that pretty after the top confusing note! Nice.

I ordered a sample from this.It's poor rose water with zero.longevity and zero.sillage.I mean not rose absolute, not rose attar oil, simply rose water diluted by nail polish remover. Everything in the ingredient list is t.o.t.a.l.l.y ir-re-le-vant.I already trhrew it into the toilet and flushed on it.

Very light woody fragrance. Stays way too close to skin, in fact you have to sniff the skin to even smell it ( and thats after 15-20 sprays ). No sillage that I can even register, makes very little impact on me and I wear perfume well. Very disappointed.
