Sera

Sera was launched in 2022 and tells the story of a red-haired princess, who came from a distant country and whose deep eyes brought the Mediterranean in her gaze. Her hair had something mysterious about it and everything was hidden in those curls. The red color was like a sunset, warm and bright, like summer nights where everything is absolutely perfect. Sera means, in English, Night. Sera's fragrance is floral-fruity-amber and was created by perfumer Christian Carbonnel, who has already created more than 100 fragrances for brands such as Al Haramain, Xerjoff, Kajal, Masque Milano, Nobile 1942, Sospiro, etc. It brings top notes of orange, bergamot, lychee, and saffron, which precede the center of the composition with notes of jasmine, amber, and musk and rest on a base of vanilla, oak moss, and woods. On the skin, the fruit explosion is evident, and the lychee exudes strength, gaining a liqueur effect from the contact with saffron, here warmer than leathery. The orange note is also lively, but it does not add very citrusy facets, but a slightly sweet juiciness. The output is really captivating! Towards the heart, the fragrance evolves into a “floriental” with a more feminine profile and exudes a sweetness that lives competing with a more astringent facet, as in an eternal tug-of-war. Jasmine is delicate and amber is warm, filling the room with sensuality. Two hours later, Sera no longer exudes much of that liqueur amber content and starts to behave like a different fragrance, now more unisex and with a soft gourmand style, where the vanilla is creamy and cozy. The wood accord gives a more masculine aspect, in which elegance is more important than muscles, while the oak moss abandons its mossier and fougère side, revealing a more humid and woody profile. Although it comes in a white bottle, which within the Accendis concept symbolizes light, this fragrance carries a hidden side that plays with darkness. For me, it's an adventure that starts with a juicy, vibrant lychee and ends in a grove of dense branches and low light, with a few beams of a red sun, about to set. With a good performance and an evolution that can even surprise, Sera is like that kind of night where you know how it starts, but you don't know how it will end.
