Fleur de Vanille

Thanks very much for the opportunity to try this. : ) Fleur de Vanille should have been named Vanille de Patchouli, because the patchouli here is dominant and serious! This is not the patchouli of Flowerbomb and LVeB. The patch here is cold earthy and potent. It also smells high quality. There is a play-doh quality to this cool almost clay-like patchouli. It's my favorite kind. When it is shrouded in gauzy warm sweet vanilla, it's smooth mineral coolness is nicely offset. I do get some vague floral aspect but it is abstract and faint against the two much louder base notes. For an all natural perfume, this does not smell like a d.i.y. essential oil blend at all. However, the patchouli note is real big here (could smell it clearly emanating from the bottle before I even sprayed) so take that into account. I personally like my booze and my dessert separately, so while I find this to be quite delightful and well made, I'd like it more if it were two separate perfumes. Vanille, and separately the patchouli- but that's a reflection on me, not the scent. Thanks again to Marlen and Fragrantica.

Picked this up at our neighborhood Whole Foods this morning, I gotta say on me it is a dupe for Angel! As the other reviewer stated the patchouli is there and very strong. On me this lasts about 3 hours which is pretty good for a roll on. I do catch whiffs of it now and again but it is not an in your face perfume. I'm glad I got this and the roll on was only $15.00.

@mayberry I agree the patchouli is not an "Angel patchouli" as in the kind that is bonded to some kind of sour citrus and/or honey. However I do find it to be pleasing and not especially like potting soil; more like smooth cool clay with a hint of play doh.

I would call this perfume summer vanilla. This perfume isn't so much about the vanilla, the vanilla is in there but it is a light yellow floral and almond powder vanilla scent. Very light, pleasing and you could gift this to just about anyone and they would like it. It is a safe blind buy for most any vanilla/floral/powder lover.
