Essenza di un'Isola Acqua

OMG wow, speechless. I did get it as a blind purchase. I love myrtle and have the one of Acqua di Parma. This one is so beautiful elegant and sophisticated. It starts strong but not rough. The salty-citric opening evolves very quick into the typical combi of Algae and myrtle. Myrtle is more green spicy-herbal like. if you know this typical Mediterranean plant, it leaves a trail of that green, minty spicy scent. Combined with the salty scent it jumps into a more sweet note that is covered in a woody earthy note. I really love it. It is very fresh and uplifting and yet sophisticated. good for warm windy days.

Very unique and different . A bit medicinal at first and minty . Settles down to a lovely creamy soft fresh skin scent. Realy like it. Great for day and hot weather

Yeah, this is pretty much Acqua di Sale, but more floral, sweeter and with a creamier drydown. Opens up remarkably similarly, with the recognizable mixture of seaweed and myrtle (a bit sweater than the one in Acqua di Sale maybe) and with an even stronger projection that might be offensive to those less tolerant of the seaweed notes. As it settles, the floral notes become more prominent and whereas AdS takes a much drier approach, reminiscent of the sun-burnt Mediterranean coastal vegetation, EduI's addition of jasmine add a fuller and sweeter touch, which later on evolves even further with the creamy oakmoss base. Idk, kinda makes me feel this part would work better in a summer evening compared to a beach under a burning sun, but ok... I wouldn't exactly recommend this over AdS as it's beautiful and somehow subdued dry, beachy feel that transforms beautifully from start to finish isn't handled nearly as nicely here - some of the notes are a bit too loud at times, making the fragrance feel unbalanced and tad too sweet/creamy for a pure beach perfume, but it's definitely a cheaper alternative if AdS is outside the budget. To be honest, the difference between them both was pretty clear when wearing them both at the same time, but apart from the piercing jasmine note it would be hard to set them apart on their own: they are just that close.

Strong and powerful. Reminds of acqua di sale. Be careful with the trigger, especially in the evening.

Essenza di un'Isola Acqua opens quite rough. I got a strong, nasal hair burning alcohol scent followed by an unpleasant, almost plastic-y scent. Luckily, that didn't last too long - maybe 5 minutes. As it started to dry down, got more of the oceanic vibe. There was a sweet spot - unfortunately didn't time it, so can't say when exactly - where it became a very realistic breeze-from-the-ocean fragrance. It eventually evolved in the far dry down to a standard, final dry down, aquatic blue scent. Sorta like the far dry down of Cool Water. Performance was pretty good initially. Good projection for about an hour, but then it quickly retreated to an almost intimate skin scent, which did last about 5 hours for me. Pretty mild scent overall, so it's quite unisex. I'm rating Essenza di un'Isola Acqua as an OK because it's really nothing special, something that has been done often before and I've got covered in my wardrobe with other fragrances. The scent itself is OK once you get beyond the initial opening; keep that in mind if you want to test it. You'll have to give it a chance.

I really enjoy a number of the Acqua dell Elba scents, with Blu, Classica, Sport and Arcipelago strong likes so far (will be testing Essenza Uomo shortly), but I have to agree with the words of clownboi1792 below. The opening is just odd to my nose. If this is marine algae, sea moss and coastal vegetation (as listed on the card that came with my sample), then I don't want to be anywhere near that shoreline. It calms down a bit after that by the time the base notes show up and becomes a bit more balanced and bearable — but not enough. Not one of their better efforts.

I LOVE Aqcua dell'elba. Classica is my all time favorite scent. I can not get behind this scent, though. The opening is straight Ben Gay. Then the dry down is a wintergreen lifesaver. I'll stick with Classica, Sport, or Smeraldo. Some people may like this, but I don't recommend blind buying it.

This eau de parfum is incredibly unique. I bought it at the Acqua Dell' Elba shop in Venice, right by the Rialto bridge. I sampled each of the fragrances that they offer and this one stood out strongly amongst the rest. It smells like vacation at a seaside villa on the Mediterranean or the Adriatic. That's really the best way that I can describe it. It will make you think of sailing, the sea, sand, etc. Everyone that smells it on me loves it. It lasts very long, definitely all day. In fact, if you spray this on a shirt or a sweater, it's going to be on there until you wash it. It's perfect for leaving behind something for your girlfriend to remember. I listed the sillage as heavy, but I'd rate it as somewhere between moderate and heavy. Don't worry, though, it won't knock out a room.

I did not understand it well. it is not similar to salt water ... but it does not seem so strong and innovative to me. maybe because I had salt water on me. I have to try it again to write note and performance.
