Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo - Fico di Amalfi

I’ve always felt very much in tune with the seasons of the year and been conscious of how they mark the passing of time. Each season leaves its mark on the earth and on our senses; our connection to the seasons is primeval. We feel the warmth of summer, hear the sounds of spring, taste the fruits of autumn, and see the sights of winter. Scents, too, evoke strong associations with the seasons. For me, spring, summer, autumn, and winter all have a distinctive smell, and because of that I seek out fragrances to wear that best fit the time of year. Back in March, like many others who take an interest in fragrances, I began putting together a collection that would be suitable for spring and summer wear. After sampling Acqua di Parma’s Fico di Amalfi, I quickly purchased a full bottle. I knew immediately that it would work well for me through spring and summer, and by late April I was wearing it regularly. It has continued to be my go-to scent through the summer and has never disappointed. And now, as summer draws to an end and we move into autumn, I already know that Fico di Amalfi will work well through September. It might even be at its best in the early part of autumn; that season of “mists and mellow fruitfulness,” as Keats called it. Fico di Amalfi has stated top notes of grapefruit, bergamot, citron, and lemon. Many reviewers mention how citrusy the opening is, and yet, surprisingly, those notes bypass me almost completely. There is no bergamot or lemon for me and only the merest hint of grapefruit. Instead, on first spray, my nose goes straight to a green, fruity accord; a cross between freshly cut nettles and fig tree. It’s light, airy, and crisp. On my skin it remains that way for at least twenty minutes before a gradual change starts to take place. As it dries down, the green accord retreats into the background while the fig tree note turns to the fig itself. And as the scent develops, that fig note becomes rich and slightly jammy, without ever becoming overly sweet. Eventually, the green accord vanishes completely and is replaced by cedar and benzoin, adding a warmth to the fragrance that, unusually, still works on a hot day. It is at this stage that the fragrance feels like early autumn to me; it puts me in mind of trees hanging with ripe fruit, of misty mornings, and of warm evenings with a golden sun sitting low in the sky. I find Fico di Amalfi lasts on my skin for four to five hours, and once it has dried down it remains reasonably linear. As with other eaux de colognes that I enjoy, it is light and never outstays its welcome. Those who need it to last longer, do of course have the option to respray. For me, this is one of only a handful of warm-weather fragrances that border on perfection. It’s one that I’ll always have in my collection. Think Citrus and fig opening, floral jasmine mid note and a subtle wood base. As everyone says, think warm stroll on the Amalfi coast in linen trousers and a summer shirt, and this smells like that. I'm extremely happy with this fragrance, infinitely more complex than the price would suggest and I'm pleased with my first departure into summer fragrance that goes beyond design branding. I'll do my best to make an objective analysis below / First up, is a strong citrus blend. Fico di Amalfi stays true to its marketed notes, strong citrus from grapefruit show first, with a realistic lemon/citron under note. This isn't candied and fake, this feels like a realistic note to my nose, which carries class. This makes way for fig notes, subtle and sweet, walking a fine line between the proposed fig nectar and fig itself. Think instead of fig with extra sweetness, a blend between how it tastes and how it smells. These are the top notes. Giving way, these notes blend into something floral as the dry down occurs. Jasmine and pink pepper are vibrant and playful, still giving a hint to the original Colonia's vintage class and ADP's profound DNA. This is light, this is classy, this feels like a well engineered veer away from the top notes. Finally, the very base is woody. Not a peaty bog or a thick smoked wood, but a lighter wood, something you would find on a beach or a soft-wooded tree within a bay. It is inoffensive and subtle, thus not taking away from the light features of the fragrance. Again, incredibly well crafted and stays true to the "tone" of playfulness and class that this fragrance is paraded for. It's an incredible fragrance, far suited to warm sunny weather. This should not be worn in any other circumstance. Too playful for night, too fresh and invigorating for anything but a sunny day. A jack of none, but an Ace for summer fragrance. This doesn't last long, as expected of citrus fragrance. 2-3hrs is what you can expect. This also doesn't fill a room. It was never meant to. It's classy, it's understated yet a maestro within it's category, this isn't a "notice me!" fragrance, this is a "I feel great" fragrance. If you like realistic citrus, don't mind or even like fig. This is blind buy. It's got such a unique character and awesome depth for such a low price. I couldn't pick fault in anything minus longevity, I eagerly await the "La Riserva" range. 9/10

This fragrance, like nearly the entire Acqua di Parma line, should come with a warning label: "DO NOT USE in anything less than hot weather". I first discovered this quirk when I was testing out Acqua di Parma's Colonia for the second time. Well, let's just say that I was trying a few other fragrances simultaneously, so I decided to test Colonia in the crook of my elbow. Most of the other fragrances I was testing were both stronger and of higher concentration, so I was shocked to find that I was getting whiffs of Colonia many hours later. And it was different than the Colonia I had experienced before... So different that I was wondering if it was an entirely different fragrance, despite it having been sprayed from the same tester. Needless to say, there was only one difference - the location of the spray. Since it was a slightly warmer day than usual, and since it was sprayed on the inside of my elbow, the fragrance was operating in higher temperatures. The Colonia performed admirably, almost glowing, providing a soft but easily noticeable aura that was overpowering much stronger fragrances. So why does this matter to Fico di Amalfi? Simple. It has the same Acqua di Parma DNA. I cannot help but be convinced that many (but certainly not all) people who complain of short longevity must be wearing Fico in climates where it would be unsuitable. From what I can tell, temperatures less than 26 Celsius (around 80 Fahrenheit) will not allow this fragrance the chance to properly bloom on the skin. I recently wore Fico di Amalfi on a hot summer day in California. The temperature was slightly above the threshold I mentioned. Spraying myself with the usual 4-5 sprays on the neck and arms, I ventured outside to meet some people for lunch. Let's just say that I earned many compliments... Many emphatic and repeated compliments. Fico easily lasted more than 5-6 hours that day, providing a gloriously powerful trail of sillage that smelled like a fresh breeze catching all of the most beautiful elements of the Amalfi coast. A strikingly beautiful fragrance, but as with the rest of the Acqua di Parma line, don't attempt to wear this in anything less than hot weather.

A case study for how green sulfurous notes can be successfully handled to provide a refreshing and tantalizing effect. Generally speaking, this doesn’t happen. Grapefruit and the bitter green acrid facet of figs usually feel like the equivalent of inhaling chemically sour sandpaper. In Fico the grapefruit top is very well rounded by the juices and zest of other hesperidics, providing a smoothing dimension to its sour and sulfuric qualities. The contrast gives the grapefruit an underripe and green quality. Bracing and refreshing. The same trick of contrasts is presented in the heart with the fig accord. Obviously fig has a fruity aroma, usually sweet, a touch watery, creamy and honeyed, and sometimes a touch earthy. Then there is the other side of the fig accord which is a piquant torn-green-leaf type note, i.e. green and sulfurous. The contrasts here are a waxy fruity peppercorn and the citrusy green white floral note of jasmine. Still bracing and refreshing, now well rounded and less sharp than the opening, and if you were to give a very quick sniff of the top and the heart without taking note of the transition you would get the impression that the top is still going; these layers have remarkable continuity and cohesion. The base layer keeps to the brief as well by using the fruity side of fig to accent a very peppery cedar and floral soap musk combo. This isn't as perfectly impressionistic as the top or the heart but it serves the brief very well. Simple. Stupidly simple actually. But it works so well that you find yourself asking “why isn’t this done more often?” - or at least I ask myself that. But then Acqua di Parma have been masters of the “cologne” family of the perfume kingdom for more than a century, so perhaps I should give them credit and acknowledge - fully and without question, by the way - that they know what they’re doing. Fico di Amalfi is a summer staple for me. It’s simple but very good from start to finish, I can spray it on me and forget about it or choose to spend some time on it for study and be very happy either way. Excellent.

This is my current favourite summer-based fragrance. I remember testing it back in my Barcelona trip 1 year ago in the airport along with other Acqua di Parma's. And after this entire time I found the 30ml variant in an astonishing discount so I decided to make a purchase. Describing this scent is quite easy. Italian, very photorealistic, citrus, gourmand, juicy, mouthwatering, fig-based fragrance. When you first spray it it's a damp explosion of Mediterranean Sea winds, leaving a very clean and airy fruity scent on your skin. It's like you join a club which smells like sweat and cigarettes and you use this to "cancel" that dirty environment with something clean. The name "Fico di Amalfi" describes this fragrance perfectly, it's a straight-forward landscape on the Amalfi coast filled with fig trees. It smells very natural btw In my opinion this fragrance doesn't lack performance for what it is, contrary to what people are disappointed on. I get around 6hrs of soft projection living a very peaceful scent trail in the first hour. I think its a good longevity for the naturals it offers. About versatility, this is very limited in wear ability when it comes to weather or climates. Only summer or hot springs. It can be worn in a variety of situations tho. It can even be pulled off during a heat picnic date with your gf, or just at leisure times. The box it comes with is a very smart idea. If you put the box and the fragrance packaging side by side it's like u got 2 different Acqua di Parma products. The atomizer is standard and wide and then 30ml bottle is perfect on-the-go. Fico di Amalfi reminds me a little bit of Wulong Cha from Nishane. Both are top notes citruses heavy but the Nishane one lasts longer. Acqua Di Parma Fico di Amalfi is a fig-based, reminiscent of the Mediterranean sea, very photorealistic citrus, light and airy fragrance. Perfect for the summer time or for the beach. 9.25/10. I fell in love with fig scents when I stayed in La Mammounia - one of the finest hotels in Morocco and the whole place had the most gorgeous uplifting smell I encountered so far. It literally made you smile. I couldn’t get enough and upon inquiry I learnt that is their signature scent and I can purchase it in the hotel shop - which I did and I gave that unique bottle to my mother who proudly wears it and gets complimented all the time. I also bought a room scent which I kept to brighten my apartment and revive memories of Marrakesh. Why am I saying all of that? Because Fico di Amalfi smells staggeringly similar and I cannot get enough of it! The grapefruit and cedarwood add some of fresh, slighty more masculine character, so that I might actually dare to wear it. I will sleep on the idea for now, but for all the ladies out here, this is absolutely beautiful fresh indulgent summer fragrance that is unique and will please everyone around you. Guaranteed. Update: I slept on it, purchased it and man, I do not regret - on my skin it turn out very nice and it is most definitely unisex. I would say the only drawback for me is longevity. As light summer scent in EdT concentration it tends to turn to the skin scent way too quickly for my liking (although you can probably still call it a keeper by summer scent standards).

I'm redoing my review after owning this for a couple years and later acquiring Philosykos EDT. Fico di Amalfi is missing the green fig leaf note that really completes the fig impression, I think it's ultimately just a citrus fragrance enhanced by that "fig nectar" note. Combined with grapefruit it's a tart lemonade macerated with idealized floral pink fruit. The dry down becomes greener and woody (masculine), maybe a little soapy, but manages to keep some of the acid and zest. I find that if I double up my sprays I can still detect it after a full work day. Philosykos EDT is a stunningly realistic representation of fig but it barely makes it past lunch time. I end up reaching for Fico di Amalfi far more often. I think it falls short as a fig fragrance but is a great spin on citrus and the best of its line. My only nitpick is that the fig nectar divorced from fig leaf makes it smell a little cheap (not necessarily synthetic), like you'd smell in a candle or shampoo. I'm still happy to own it and will probably replace it when I run out.

first fragrance i ever got and is definitely my favourite smelling by far, this shit takes me straight to italy, it reminds me of unripe figs and freshly cut grass in the summer air, as well as some aquatic stuff with some citruses like ur in a market off the coast, shit is brilliant, i might be the only person i know that LOVES this stuff because most of my mates just think its alr, buy this for urself not for mass appeal bc not only are people not gonna be crazy smelling this on you but they wont even get the chance because this stuff is a skin scent through the 4 hours u get with it if you’re lucky, lasts longer in high heat but u still people likely wont notice it on you unless they all over you smells super high quality and manages to perfect everything great about italy in one smell, if ur getting any of the blu mediterraneo line get this one since its by far the best except mandorlo di sicilia which is also pretty fire, if u want a nice scent to enjoy for yourself and you got some italian heritage u gonna love this stuff

This is one of the most unique and interesting summer fragrances I have ever experienced and it smells natural, luxurious and quite chic. It's surprisingly very mass appealing as well! It's definitely a piece of art! I mainly smell dry Citron and a bit of lemon at the top, freshly cut riped and juicy Fig fruit which is almost airy. More airy than juicy in my opinion at the top. It almost feels like shaving foam then after some time it becomes slightly juicy with hints of sweetness. It's quite addicting for me. Jasmine adds a hint of white floral presence which gives it that posh finish. I like to wear Pacific Chill for casual stuff, it's more juicy and quite unique fragrance as well. But I like to wear Fico for either beach resort or summer evenings with white linen shirt. In short, I consider fico more upscale smell. Can be subjective but it works very well on me in mildly chilly spring/summer evenings in Calgary.

The opening features a bright, fresh, and uplifting citrus. It’s a classic citrus note you’d expect from the colognes this company makes. After about three minutes, the fruity and green notes begin to emerge, with fig being a key component, if you look up the notes to learn what fruit it is. Expect a light woody scent to develop after around ten minutes, which comes through behind the fruit. However, the fruit remains the main star throughout the entire wear. In performance, I experienced about 30 minutes of projection. After the initial burst, it settles close to the skin, where it stays for around four hours before fading away. The performance is quite poor for the price they sell it for. If you can find it discounted, I think it's worth picking up. Overall, this is a great fragrance to wear anywhere, anytime when it's hot outside.

You can easily find this for $40 for a 30ml, which is already incredible value (and this is true of most Acqua di Parmas), however in addition to a great price is a great fragrance. To the people who say this isn't good fig, go smell it again. This isn't overly sweet, thick, syrupy, gets stuck in your nose fig, this is realistic natural light juicy fig in the best way. For the price its incredible because it is on par with fig in much more expensive niche. I truly enjoy wearing this fragrance. My only issue is the longevity. I might get 3 hours after 9-12 sprays, with it becoming a skin scent towards the end. So in short, while the longevity and sillage leaves a little to be desired, the fragrance itself is beautiful and well worth a purchase if you enjoy a well blended and fresh realistic fruit fragrance.

Something unique from the House of Acqua di Parma, in my opinion - the best in their Blue line. Very natural, uplifting and posh scent - mega yacht. Lovely grapefruit and fig is what I get on my skin for the first 1-2 hours. Then it tones down to citrusy fig with a little hint of jasmine and maybe woods - citrusy,woody,blue drydown? 10/10 - projects really good for the first 2 hours, and on my skin it lasts about good 8 hours or so. If you're 22 like me or for anyone 22+ you can rock this. I don't think it's for casual wear tho, more like linen shirt, loafers you get me. If you don't really like fig or fig scents, this is not for you. (ADP makes one of the best natural smelling frags, so it's nothing like the synthetic Dolce Gabbana K fig).

Of all fragrances in my collection, this is the one I feel the stupidest for putting off for so long. AdP is such a great value house at grey market prices. This stuff smells amazing in the air, albeit slightly like a room freshner. My wife says it smells like "Kirkland's Home," which I guess I can kinda get the vibe, but I don't care. Longevity leaves a little to be desired, although that may improve as my bottle macerates. I only got a 100mL but I wish I got the 200, which can generally be found under $100 amazingly to me. It's very Italian smelling and bright. Super juicy, pleasant fig smell with some fresh citrus and light woods. It's a fun fragrance and has a casual vibe. Best in warm weather for Spring/Summer and early Fall.

My absolute favorite fragrances Fico di amalfi by Acqua di Parma .Every time I wear it, I feel as though I'm transported to a luxurious vacation, enjoying the fresh and beautiful breeze. It's so refreshingly soothing and has a way of making you feel relaxed and at ease. One of the best things about the Amalfi fragrance is that it stays on the body for a long time, lingering pleasantly throughout the day. And I must say, it smells quite expensive, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to any occasion. I own a bottle and I love it. Having said that, I'm sorry but this doesn't open citrusy at all despite the citrus galore in the top notes. It is very clean, soapy and fruity sweet, though. My opinion seems to contradict all I've read on here so far, like: "opens with a hit of citrus" and "not too soapy". LOL! I get a total opposite: no citrus whatsoever and lovely soapy fruity-sweet scent. One thing this definitely is, is fig, 100%! I think it's a perfect unisex, but also wouldn't banish it only for summer. It does feel fresh and clean with mild pleasant fig sweetness, but I totally do lift my mood up with it by wearing in the autumn and winter here and there, too. Try it sometimes, it's a great mood lifter upper! 😊👍

I bought this for my birthday in September because it reminds me of camping at the beach in the Eucalyptus trees near Santa Cruz, California. It may not be the Amalfi Coast, but it smells like my favorite place on Earth when I spray this on my wrists. As I inhale, the smell of the trees, mixed with salt air, wild sagebrush and cypress, takes me to that spot there along the Pacific Coast. Most have described this fragrance as citrus and figs, but my nose says Eucalyptus and cypress; then driftwood, figs, sage and thyme. It's a warm, bright green mountain air scent,, mixed with lots of oxygen from the ocean breeze drifting up the mountain slope. It's the most beautifully made fragrance and I hope they never change it.

BINGO!!! I've been on a hunt for a new summer fragrance and this may just have taken first place. Didn't know I loved fig until I smelt this. Honestly it was love at first sniff. I can't stand lemony citrus scents, and the others in the line haven't grabbed me. (I first smelt 'Light Blue' recently and I hated it. Just ended up smelling like household cleaner). I get a bright fizzy fig juice with lots of salty ocean freshness. I love that it's slight sour too. Summer and sweet citrus just doesn't do it for me. It ends up wearing you. But this gorgeous scent is a magical blend perfect for a thirst quenching hot day. Not too strong or projecting, but I'm happy to keep spraying it for that initial burst of fizzy fig!!

Exquisite fig scent with a big citrus and slight leafy green opening and a soapy drydown. I bought a huge bottle for 80.00 and my wife and I wear this all summer long and in the winter often wear it to bed. So I see a lot of complaints about longevity. I think there is a misunderstanding on how true citrus frags work. Aqua Di Parma uses natural citrus oils in their fragrances. High quality natural citrus oils are expensive and by nature do not last long on your skin; but they smell incredible. That’s the trade off. Now I’d rather have the real thing and just respray whenever I want, but that’s just me. If you are looking for long lasting citrus’s that smell close to natural, I recommend checking out Xerjoff.

Heavenly smell, awful performance. One of best realistic scent I even encountered. Despite its bad performance in general, I need to note tho, that for me in first half an hour, the projection is quite strong, but then projection disappear, and become skin scent that you need to bury your nose on spray spot to smell it. So considering that, it is not suitable for office wear for me, as I am out for work, in total with commute, for around 11-12 hours every working day. But I occasionally spray it once anyway on my wrist as an additional to fragrance I wear, just because I wanna smell it when I commute. Like I said, calming yet cheering scent. Not for performance seekers.

I love this and I wish so bad that the performance was better. The fig to me is very fresh and earthy, though I think it’s the cedar that adds that kind of husky earthy dryness. The citruses bring out the sweetness of the fig and obviously add an uplifting fresh and summery feel. I love fig and woody notes so this fragrance was such a joy to test and if it wasn’t for the performance, I would upgrade my travel size to a full bottle (dying to try the Riserva version). It lasted on my skin for about five hours, which I don’t think is awful, but I am a chronic over sprayer and you will absolutely not have any kind of scent bubble if you don’t go crazy with the spraying.

This is a lovely summertime fig dominant fragrance. A bright citrusy opening, quickly followed by wonderful fig notes. As it dries down, the fig notes remain and are complemented by pleasant woody notes with jasmine occasionally peaking through. I've never been to the Amalfi coast, but I can totally imagine this scent being present in the air. Its biggest issue is its lackluster performance. On my skin its just two hours and three hours on clothing, at best. Therefore, be willing to overspray, which won't be a problem here. Unless you find a good price at a reputable discounter, you may want to pass on this. Otherwise, be prepared to reapply during the day.

The scent is out of this world !! it literally smells vacations. Photorealistic fig ( tree and fruit) but not sickly sweet . The citruses are top tier like any other Aqua di Parma. They all mix in a gummy bear smell as some people mentioned but in the best possible way ( not the ones you get from a kiosk but It’s like you bought them from a top notch pastry shop if that make any sense ). Performance is not that bad but far from a beast mode . The only small downside for men is that leans a little feminine so if you are into heavy masculine scents you may find it a little difficult to wear it but you will enjoy it nevertheless.

As a huge fan of Mediterranean and herbal perfumes and a lover of both brands, I have to say that Fico di Amalfi (2006) is almost 90% a clone of Hermès Un Jardin en Méditerranée (2003). While in AdP, in addition to juicy citrus and dominant fig, a kind of eucalyptus-mint accord comes to the fore (although it is not in the composition, I think it is a reacting Sichuan pepper with benzoin), in Hermes, oleander comes to the fore quite significantly. Both are beautiful scents and I would say that AdP smells a little better to me, but unfortunately the scent lingers too close and after about 1 hour there is no trace of it.

Growing up in Southern California this fragrance is a memory of eating an orange while still in the grove on a cool summer morning. The notes of citrus feel sweeter like mandarin and the fig and jasmine while present feel like someones hand cream at a distance. The duration is mediocre, but in line with a toilette formulation. I’d suggest keeping a travel size or decant to refresh you scent through the day. I layered it with Pacific Chill and it smelled like the fruit salad section of a breakfast buffet, but I’m sure leaving the fragrance alone or with a more subtle (or simple) citrus fragrance would work best.

I'm a man in his early 40s who usually gravitates towards smokier, woody, vetiver fragrances, but I do love a good citrus note as well. Of all the two dozen or so frags I own, this one makes me feel the happiest. It's like sunshine and Mediterranean orchards in a bottle. The grapefruit opening is bright and lovely and beautifully balanced with a slightly sweet fig note behind it, flanked by a subtle, warm jasmine. I really don't understand what some of the reviewers are smelling, but this puts a smile on my face every time. My wife bought this for herself, but it sits in my collection most often.

Easily signature scent worthy during warmer weather. I could wear this every day and never get bored of it. I don’t think it’s redundant with any other fig perfume that’s currently on the market. The fig is bright and juicy, you could almost feel the sun touching your skin when you spray it. Wearing and smelling it brings a smile to my face, both on myself and others. The woodiness and very slight vanilla like scent coming from the benzoin makes the dry down absolutely delicious. Not only is this full bottle worthy, but I would re-purchase another one once this one is empty.

What a beautiful composition. Smells quite green with fig leaves/tree at the opening, but the quickly dries down to ripe juicy fig fruit with some fig tree and jasmine in the background. Definitely leans feminine in my books, very sophisticated, soft take on fruity floral. Summer holiday fragrance. Sits quite close to skin so won't be suffocating others, but leaves a nice whiff when in closer contact. Unfortunately, the longevity is very lacking. A few hours at best. However, does not cost an arm and a leg so quite happy to re-apply during the day for a burst of happiness.

Everyone I have asked, including my little sister who has an incredible nose for fragrances but is very blunt and truthful loved this fragrance and thought it smelled nice with the cedar and jasmine in the middle and base notes and surprisingly liked the fig note and called it fruity and summery. 10/10 scent but longevity is 4-5 before it fades away the last 30 minutes it just smells clean and kinda soapy. Out of my ten colognes she liked this the most and I agree, Scent 10/10 Longevity 7.5/10 Projection 2-3 feet, very faint and personal, 7/10. 8.5/10 overall.

This is probably my favorite fig based fragrance, as fig is definitely present and the star, supported by a wonderful and bright citrus lift, and tones down into a slightly woody bed. Easily one of the best in the house when it comes to their fresher offerings. It is not a strong projecting fragrance (as is the case with many in the house), but it does give a consistent scent bubble. It leans masculine but is unisex enough that a woman can easily get away with it. You can get this at discounters for a reasonable price, especially the 6 ounce (180ml).

Finished one bottle and now on to my second bottle of FDA. Can’t remember exactly if my first 75 ml bottle was not as strong at first. But my new 180 ml bottle is not as strong. However I’ve sometimes had instances in the past with fragrances where maceration brings out the performance over time. The smell of FDA is so satisfying. It’s crisp, it’s clean, it’s fig and foam and carbonated and sparkling. It’s uplifting and invigorating. And unique in my collection compared to some of my other spring/summer wears. Love this stuff.

Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma is a truly unique fragrance that captures the essence of summer in every spritz. The blend of fresh fig, citrus, and light florals makes it a refreshing choice for warm weather, offering a vibrant yet elegant scent. While it’s marketed as unisex, it dances on the border of feminine, with its airy and delicate nature. A perfect go-to fragrance for sunny days and coastal vibes. Longevity is around 5 hours decent projection on me and then turns into a skin scent.

I picked up a very old batch from Vinted for literally £4 (around 50ml remaining). It’s such a gorgeous summer scent — bright citrus at the opening, with a sweet fig note in the dry down. I also get a slight shampoo-like vibe, which makes it feel really fresh and clean. I’m not sure why everyone talks about weak performance — maybe the older batches are better and it’s been reformulated over time? On my skin, I get a solid 8 hours, with strong projection for the first 1–2 hours

This one is really nice, especially in the hot weather. Once your skin starts to heat up it starts projecting like crazy. For me the opening feels “refrigerated” meaning it’s extremely fresh with a lot of fig, but not the usual fig. It’s almost like you’re in a fig forest. At the drydown the citrus really comes out and the fig moves to the background. Really nice refreshing fragrance just doesn’t last long as you probably know.

I love, love the scent profile of Fico di Amalfi- the only drawback is, at least for me, extremely poor performance (we're talking peaking in the first 30 minutes, skin scent by an hour, unnoticeable 3-4 hours later). And for this reason, I wouldn't buy a full bottle. I desperately wish there would be a reformulation with the exact same, sparkly, figgy, grapefruit-juice scent profile but with better longevity.

The fig opening in this is peak but unfortunately only lasts for about an hour. Super fresh, clean and great summer scent that uplifts me and transports me to the shores of Amalfi. This stuff is great for teenagers and young men and is perfect on a hot summer day. There are mixed reviews regarding the longevity and for me this sits well with my skin and lasts over 6+ hours. 8/10 just wish silage was better.

At first, you are greeted with fresh citrus and a burst of fig nectar. It is bright and it is beautiful, and reminds me of lounging on a hotel balcony in Italy. It becomes this glorious blend of grapefruit, fig milk, and cedar. I want this in a room diffuser, candle, body wash. It’s just such a masterpiece. Unfortunately, it does not last very long. But it is absolutely stunning while it lasts.

This is a classy summer scent. I actually think this works best for me on early evenings, heading for an outdoor drink and BBQ in an open collar and Italian shades - slight warm breeze and sun low in the sky. Perfection in a lovely blue bottle. If you can pick this up at a discounter then don’t sleep on it - easily the most complex and interesting of the Blu Med scent line. Pure class.

This is amazing! This is photorealistic orange peel and smells like a beachy, summer holiday in a bottle. I've never tried this brand before but had the opportunity to try a few different fragrances from them today and this is by far my favourite out of this line. It's so fresh but not sharp, I cannot overstate that this is the most realistic orange fragrance I have ever tried.

the best Fig fragrance i smell so far. its fruity without being zesty, has aquatic and green elements, so refreshing and soothing... since its EDT, i know it only has 2 hour proyection and 4 hour on skin . but i still love it since it smells good, its cheap and has good sillage. 2 hours solid proyection is enough for my gym sessions and to rotate for another fragrance.

This is summer in a bottle. Sweet and fruity but not in an artificially sugary sort of way. The woody base adds a warmth and skin-like scent that makes it feel natural on the hottest days. The biggest issue is the longevity, which is terrible. Best way to wear it is on a hot and humid summer day, and carry a travel size around to refresh every hour or so.

The opening is a blast of sweet citruses – really juicy, but they only lasts for a few minutes. After that, it transitions to the scent of fig leaves, like the smell you get when walking near a fig tree. In the late drydown, I mostly get some floral musk. The sillage and staying power could be better, but the scent is unique and extremely good.

Tested this in the middle of an English winter. Think I'm one of the lucky ones whose skin chemistry happens to be the perfect canvas for this masterpiece. The fizzy grapefruit note seems to dance off my skin for hours, with the sweet fig undertones rounding it out to a youthful and playful yet smart scent profile. Easy S-tier for me.

I'm perpetually intrigued by fig and the different way it presents in different fragrances. In this one it is a very fruity ripe fig, not green, and takes a backseat to the fragrant lemon. This to my nose, (in the dry down) is a dupe for The Body Shop Dewberry which I miss so much. I'm so happy right now, this is utterly delicious!!

Fico di Amalfi has a very special place in my life. It brings back one of the best memories I ever had when I worn it on our honeymoon. So whenever I put on I'm travelling back in time. A fantastic scent as well, uplifting, energizing, natural smelling. Makes you smile. No other fig fragrance can deliver this positive vibe.

Best citrus-Fig fragrance out there. Lasts about 4-5 hours, smells so fresh and summery. After the initial blast of citrus the fig pops out and it smells a lot like the skin of the fig fruit and fig leaf. To me it slowly turns more and more green, fig plant like over time. Very good and refreshing.

A gorgeous smelling citrus and fig scent with abysmal longevity. I suppose that's the cost of being the most natural fragrance I've encountered. Wearing this in the summer sun will surely pull you compliments - for a very short period of time. For me a 10/10 scent, but I wouldn't pay full retail.
