Colonia Futura

Strange no one has mentioned Creed Viking. As soon as I put it on, that's what I thought of definitely more than eau Sauvage etc. In saying that, the DNA is similar but once the opening notes leave it doesn't resemble Viking as much. This is like if Viking was a super sport/rock star, had a child who become also a somewhat similar successful career then they had a baby with Eau Sauvages child to create a similar DNA to both but both having different traits of its own, as for becoming a super star this perfume will not become that. Here's why, this is not a mainstream DNA anymore that era has passed but for those who do like this DNA it will be a great fragrance. I do really like this and believe this is a friendly more rounded and subdued Viking/Eau Sauvage. I will wear this in the office and I believe it can be versatile. It doesn't scream look at me nor drop kick others in the nose as if Chuck Norris just walked past and didn't like your face. This is quite a beautiful fragrance, the selling point of 99% natural ingredients well its hard to tell but it does smell of quality and luxury. I got this at a steal of a price, I wouldn't pay retail for it ever. I have been on the fence about this fragrance for a while and glad I got it. It's in my top 3 from Parma after Mirra & Essenza. The breakdown: DNA - 9 - Not unique but well blended Appeal - 5 - Could go either way depending who you ask. . . Longevity- 7.5 - Decent on this front Projection - 6 - sits close to the skin after 10mins, not a bad thing though Sillage - 7 - Unsure but assume it has a nice sillage Overall - 7/10 Personal overall 8/10 - Better other there but a nice perfume nonetheless, will I buy another bottle? I guess I'll see when this runs out!

maybe the name "futura" is not the best, the fragrance in itself is nothing really new, but i have to say this is a different take on the a.d.p. colonia line, more green and herbal, and the most important thing to point out is....futura smells AMAZING!. fantastic opening with bergamot, lime and grapefruit. the drydown is great with a beautiful lavender and, most of all, vetiver. the note of vetiver is the protagonist of the drydown and i understand the comparison between terre d'hermes(edt and intense vetiver) and futura. t.d.h. in my opinion has a better performance, but futura is definitely more natural smelling. both are great, but futura has that italian gentleman vibe with a soft "sense of humor", it's not too serious and formal. i love this scent, one of my favourite of the a.d.p. line, and the price of the tester is very affordable. performance is good, slightely above average: good projection in the first 1,5 hour, then more silent. longevity about 6-7 hours, not bad for a summer scent. for casual and formal situations, for a well dressed man over 30. glad to have it in my collection! acqua di parma futura ha un nome altisonante, forse non porta niente di futuristico ma bisogna dire che è un pò diverso dalle colonie della stessa linea e soprattutto odora divinamente! mix riuscitissimo di bergamotto, lavanda e vetiver, tutto molto naturale e ben orchestrato. non per giovanissimi, io non lo sono e quindi ci sto a pennello. ottimo acquisto! scent-9 longevity-7,5 sillage-7,5 uniqueness-7,5 versatility-8 presentation-6,5 back up bottle?maybe compliment factor-7 my vote-8,5 in one word- exquisite alternative- terre d'hermes edt and intense vetiver.

Colonia Futura is a pleasant, good-quality warm weather scent. A flanker of sorts of Colonia, the focal point of this house, CF can be best described as a cologne-fougère. Featuring a bright, fresh citrus opening and developing into a lavender-led vetiver scent, it is an elegant masculine spring/summer scent. CF opens with a bright citrus accord, radiantly fresh and reminiscent of Colonia. I get zesty lemon and tart grapefruit in particular. It quickly becomes aromatic thanks to the herbal notes that follow. Lavender is quite prominent for a time, complemented by soft peppery spices, paving the way to the vetiver-dominant drydown. The vetiver is dry and woody, very aromatic and slightly earthy. The vetiver used here is top-quality, bringing to mind Guerlain Vetiver, the gold standard of vetiver scents. The faded citrus lingers, and this alongside the spices complements the vetiver to perfection. It is aromatic and restorative, but also a wearable, casually elegant scent. It fades to a musky vetiver skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. Light and fresh for warm weather, CF also has more body and better performance than a classic cologne, making it ultimately transeasonal. An excellent fresh fougère, this is a great everyday masculine scent that is a road less travelled. 4.5/5.

Initial notes: Please be advised that this is natural ingredients fragrance. That means initial notes are bit harsh with terpenes for a couple of minutes. Great bitter lemon, nearly tonic with chinchona comes in quickly. Mid: Sage, bay leaf, resin, grapefruit pith — slightly in the vein of Terre d’Hermès. Base: Very tart vetiver, slightly toasted. Geranium too? Performance: Excellent for a cologne in terms of both longevity and projection. Not a particularly strong sillage it seems. Value: It’s worth looking around for good offers. Up to 80-100 $/€ differences. I got 180ml for 90€ but saw it in shops for up to 180€. Meta: Natural is one buzzword and I like that thought. It feels and smells rustic and a bit unpredictable like nature itself. It is both classic and new/modern at the same time. Thoughts: Great summer scent, but good base makes it suitable for both colder and more formal settings too. There are enough hints of oomph for evening wear, but if you insist on sweetness for winter this is not it. It is dry but in the same way that a fruity white wine is normally perfectly dry. It also seems to avoid most categories, Someone called it a colonia fougère which I thought was quite accurate. Very exciting.

Colonia Futura is very much a well thought-out, smooth vetiver scent, so not your traditional colonia based on citrus or soapy neroli notes. The opening is a bit misleading and comes across as really harsh. In fact I’m not even sure the citrus in the opening does the overall fragrance much justice. Luckily that aspect doesn’t last. Once the heart notes start pumping out, the fragrance smooths considerably and turns very green. The sage and lavender provide this part which is where things turn quite pleasant to my nose. There is also the gentlest of sweetness at this point supported with a faint hint of woodiness below it. It stays very green. In fact by this point, you may wonder if you’re dressed in camouflage or lying in a herb patch. The vetiver enters with some moss, but these aspects simply underpin the green sage and lavender accord which sits on top throughout. The whole accord makes for a herbaceous, aromatic green scent. I can’t wait to put this on in the warmer months, but even in the winter it has proved unique, vibrant and uplifting. In my opinion it’s everything that the hash-up known as Colonia Club should have been. My faith in AdP may just be restored with this scent.

ADP Colonia Futura. Old World vibe with New World facets. Think fresh barbershop cologne with lavender, citrus and a subtle clean, light soap and vetiver nuance. If you like a little bit of that throwback vibe of lavender & oak moss similarities of yesteryear with a nice infusion of citrus & florals of today, this one must be sampled. Not for everyone and I strongly suggest not blind buying. Under 30? Suspect at best. Over that, seriously consider it as a solid fresh cologne with better that average longevity. Sillage & projection are not its strong points but, with enough sprays you will catch gorgeous wafts of this scent all day. They nailed it, regardless of the naysayers and ill perceived fragrance pundits that downplay this fragrance and what it represents. Most of them can’t tell the difference between their ass and a hole in the ground, let alone what in today’s mindset of existence of what should or should not be considered class & modern day sophistication if they have no clue or semblance of self. Fools really and a pity. Don’t fear this creation and enjoy it for what it is. An homage to the past with delightful modern day traits for yesterdays & today’s man.

Wow - I tried this today at Harrods and really loved it. I can be quite difficult with my perfumes, especially with fresh citrusy perfumes and particularly with some of the AdP perfumes. But this one surprised me. In spite of my already ridiculously huge perfume collection, this one has a given spot in the fresh-herbaceous category. It's composed of three overlapping accords that perfectly tie into and reinforce each other. First accord is the citrus top note. A perfect marriage of bergamot, grapefruit, lemon with a hint of pepper to spice things up. The top note is really well balanced and not too sweet, leaving a slight bitterness at the end. Then the heart is made up the dynamic duo of clary sage and lavender. Here the the herbaceous notes perfectly merge with the bergamot to add some depth to the volatile citrus notes, almost pulling the citrus down and together whilst also lifting up the woody earthy accord that makes up the base of the perfume. Out of all the perfumes that I have tried so far this year, this is one of the best. It is an outstanding perfume and remarkably balanced. Worth trying.

Colonia Futura?? More like Colonia Pasta... If “99% all-natural ingredients” is futuristic, weren't all perfumes 100% natural until the IFRA started banning the natural stuff? Whatever. Either way, the name is way off from what this is: Masculine vetiver citrus as traditional as it gets! The sage comes to the fore after the beautiful lemon opening. I rate the sage as the strongest note in the late opening/mid. Dry, sun-sweetened sage in full glory. It’s quite bracing and smells natural. The citrus hangs around in the background longer than I expected, and of course the vetiver comprises the lingering base. This is a pungent, sharp vetiver- nothing smoky or earthy at all. Futura is a simple, natural, beautiful Italian men’s fragrance. If you enjoy classics like Chanel Pour Monsieur, Loewe Pour Homme, or Eau Sauvage, I can’t imagine you wouldn’t love this. Perhaps the perfumers at ADP have not learned from the past and are doomed to repeat it. For those of us who love this kind of fragrance, Ignorance is bliss.

Blind bought a big bottle full presentation for under $60. Best blind buy to date, this is about to become my warm weather signature. The note tree is broken but so is my nose. I have a hard time with vetiver, it comes and goes like an aromachem for me. Lavender in frags just smells “ubiquitously clean”. To me this is: Live herbs in a pine forest, real citrus rind Sage & herbs SAGE live and pumping in the sun & soil Lived in the sierra foothills of CA for a bit & this instantly takes me back to swimming in big Chico creek late August surrounded by sage, foxtail (dry golden grass) & manzanita. The scent of the pine forest up the hill washing down with the cold mountain water. This frag is eternity EDP with the apple dropped, little citrus added & then classed up. Performance is pretty good on me, 6+ hours on moisturized skin. Sprayer is actually a mister which takes a few sprays to get right. Quality. Same quality in the bottle. Very nice presentation.

This is literally the only Acqua Di Parma fragrance I like, long term. Several of their fragrances are nice and pleasant at first but the dry down is always disappointing to me. I just brought my bottle out of storage for summer and was moved to write a review. This is a star in that it is not the same-old stank musk base that so many fragrances are. It is bright, crisp and classy. Opening is a dry, peppery citrus mix. Also, seems like there is Angelica or juniper in there but the notes are not listed. Pretty linear wear, which I appreciate because there’s nothing more disappointing than spraying a perfume, loving the smell, spending a lot of money on a bottle and having it change to a completely different and off-putting dry down and/or lasting note. Good on ADP for having the guts to release a fragrance that doesn’t smell like vanilla, Tonka, musk, oud or syrup like most. 👍🏻 *I own a few ADP but this is the only one I can actually wear in public.

Colonia Futura opens brightly and you'll get the Green Cirtus Bitter Herbal opening. You will need to like such opening to like Futura. Young adults may not be used to this as this dna and opening is rather old school green herbal barbershopy. Those of us in the know will know if you will likely like it. The reminds me of scent are pretty accurate too. But I don't think it's worth getting it at retail price. Resellers/Discounters price yes. Good for a sunny and warm hot day. It's projection for this fresh herbal like scent is pretty decent, better than a few flora Edp under the brand. 2-3 sprays on arm and forehand and it projects at least a feet or two, not too bad. It's staying power and longetivity is probably half a day, maybe 5-6 hours easily.

I have now rated 200 fragrances and of those, Colonia Futura is currently my number 1. Maybe I'm still on a honey moon with this, but it's the only fragrance I've ever bought where I am already sorry I didn't buy the big bottle. Only one. I never buy the big bottles, but I hate to see this bottle getting empty, yet I crave to spray this especially in the evenings. Lavender, vetiver and citruses, all top of the class. Clean, natural, fresh, invigorating, bracing, classy, manly, beautiful. Lasts for many hours too, which is great for an all-natural cologne. It's almost like a paradigm shift to me: since this is so perfect for me, should I look at natural perfumery next? Edit: The perfumer is none other than Francois Demarchy himself.

I really like this more naturalistic take on the original. Rather than blended into a soapy freshness the lemon, sage and vetiver all smell like themselves, yet the base of the original is still underneath and reveals itself after a couple of hours. It’s slightly medicinal, but I like that. There is also a salt and mineral quality that isn’t mentioned but makes this feel more oceanic than its brothers, and perhaps some cypress as well to make it extra crisp. No sweetness, little spice no florals either really. Colonia stripped down to its essence and taken to the beach then. It reminds a bit of the Italian minimalism often created by Profumum Roma. Might be my favourite of the line.

Very elegant, mature and "old fashioned", but in a good way. I could describe it as a bitter version of the original Drakkar (not "Noir", but the one from the seventies). Only the people of 45 and over will be able to appreciate this cologne. It is a very formal, office scent, that is well suited for warm and hot weather during daytime. Sillage, projection and longevity are average; but the quality of the very natural smell is excellent. Because of the performance, I find it overpriced; but I'd buy it again for its beauty and similarities with the fragrances of my childhood (during the seventies).

Colonia Futura by Acqua di Parma reminds me of a favorite now discontinued fragrance Clinique Tailoring for Men. Tailoring for Men was a fragrance that was ahead of its time. Tailoring for Men combined citrus with lavender and a hint of Heliotrope. I miss this scent as it had almost tonic-like effect. Colonia Futura is very close to Tailoring, but a bit more sophisticated. Colonial Futura keeps the bright citrus that is hallmark of Acqua do Parma range. Colonial Futura is crisp, bright and modern thanks in part to the subtle layering of the lavender. I enjoy Colonia Futura.

Opens up as a citrusy vetiver. Imagine Terre d'Hermes with lemon instead of orange, and you have the opening pretty close. The dry down is more interesting. The lemon fades away and you're left with a fresh green vetiver smell,and pepper. Over time the vetiver starts to fade, which makes the pepper seem more prominent. After 3 hours or so it's basically just a peppery vetiver smell. It actually lasts a really long time - I could smell it on my skin 12 hours later. The problem is it just doesn't project much after the first couple hours.

blind buy On paper: In order of appearance: Bergamot. Lemon. Sage. Pepper. Lavender. Grapefruit. The drydown is citrus, lavender, sage, and a hint of grassy vetiver. After a while I'm getting thyme. Isn't that interesting and delicious. Very bright and fresh, all natural scent made for hot weather. It's powerful and long lasting. On skin: It's all still there but It's a more grassy, herbal blend. It seems darker, greener and more interesting. It's the vetiver that's much more prominent! All in all I'm very happy with this :)

I enjoy wearing this Futura anytime but summer because this is a dense cologne. It stars dense and harsh, on the other hand it will mellow and last a great deal of time. Vetiver should be there at the bottom but not discernible to me. To me it opens with harsh citrus, then goes the sage with the lavender - with a softer citrus that never disappper. Yeah 40 ́s up I agree. It ́s a modern take though. A couple of sprays only will work perfetcly leaving and non heavy but present aromatic aura.

Smells very Mediterranean to me. Opens very zingy fresh. Mid is a extremely elegant sage note in combination with vetiver. Deep drydown is oakmoss (much loved and missed!!). A very intoxicating summer gem. I plan to use it this summer in mid Dalmatia where it will be perfect. Staying power is amazing considering it being a edc, and yes you can go overboard with the sprayer as it never becomes overbearing. A new take on many scents from the past but this time THAT is the wonder of it.

The nose behind this dry, and phenomenal, Fougere is François Demachy. The Grapefruit and Pink Pepper accords give this composition a moden touch, but the rest of the notes are tried and true standards: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender, Lemon and Vetiver. It hardly gets more classic than this. It's not unisex. I don't see anyone other than men over 40 wearing It. It has moderate projection and longevity, so you may want to apply and reapply generously.

@grownassedman: Good to know. Didn't realised I'd missed the boat on Club, which I've had my eye on for a while, but I'm happy to hear that they've replaced it with something - will look into C.L.U.B., since you make it sound good too, if different. Futura is pretty green, isn't it? Very citrus heavy at the beginning - I get a lot of grapefruit in particular. But the dry down is very much dominated by the sage and vetiver, to my nose.

A Fougere Mature Scent from Acqua Di Parma, Its Masculine, Super Green and Herbatious, a little spicy and smoky and suprisingly, the citrus sweet juicyness of the top notes suprisingly lingers for quite a while on my skin. A great fragrance for the summer time that last around 5-6 hours, with around 1 to 2 hours of moderate projection, Please sample this before buying as not everyone will like this, i will give it a 7.5/10

I think it is good - not great. I believe if you could get it at a discount and not pay retail, it would be an ok purchase. It sort of reminds you of TDH but a little lighter. If you already on that, it would be a redundant purchase in my opinion. If you don't and can get it for roughly the same price of TDH, I would say go for this.

Wow east coast USA smells like Northern California again today! Layered Colonia Futura heavy over 1-2 sprays of afnan supremacy incense on skin to complete the NorCal summer fire season vibe. If you own something with smoke &/or vetiver, this layers very very well. Sending peace to anyone displaced by wildfire 💞

Very refreshing and up-lifting. Wear this on a warm summers day wearing a crisp shirt, you will be a breath of fresh air for anyone you meet. If i had to describe this with 3 words: Invigorating, classy, masculine.

I tried this one in a hot summer day and I got hooked. No other circus scent has gave me the same vibes. It's very shinny and uplifting. The best citrus scent during my journey. A great release from the house.

"Modern" oldschool cologne. Opening can be harsh. The drydown is very enjoyable. Good longevity, definitely not a screamer in terms of projection. A handsome,gentle, gentleman cologne.

Really nice, cant stop smelling my arm. Fresh and woody, and natural. No artificial notes. Makes me think about camping in a forest, or firewood drying in the sun.

That’s two different perfumes where you’ve said they smell like pickles. Could be something else going on here man.

This fragrance remind me much of Dior Eau Sauvage edt! Very pleasant & very vintage style! Nice work❤️🇮🇹

A fragrance that smells of "uncontaminated nature" without giving up classic Italian elegance, Colonia Futura by Acqua di Parma was launched in 2020 and represents the brand's sustainability manifesto: it is made up of 99% ingredients of natural origin. Colonia Futura does not try to amaze with special effects, but with purity. It's a vibrant, almost "crunchy" fragrance. The mix of Grapefruit, Bergamot and Lemon is a very realistic citrus explosion. The Pink Pepper isn't pungent here, but serves to give a fizzy boost that keeps the citrus from feeling "flat" or too much like a traditional cologne. In the heart the fragrance veers towards the medicinal world. Lavender and Sage create an earthy and clean aromatic accord. It is not the soapy lavender of the past, but the wild, almost bitter one. Vetiver closes the circle in a masterful way. It is a dry and woody vetiver that gives a solid structure and a very refined masculinity (despite being unisex). It is the ideal fragrance for those who love the Old Money style but have a modern sensitivity towards the environment. It is less sweet and more "herbaceous" than the classic Cologne. If you're looking for a perfume that screams "botanical freshness" and smells of aromatic herbs bathed in dew, this is the right choice. If you love sweet or gourmand scents, stay away. This is an ode to the bitterness of citrus and the dryness of vetiver.

Persolaise interviewed Paola Paganini from Acqua Di Parma on his YouTube channel and she briefly discussed Colonia Futura. (She is so charming!) She says it's all naturally derived fragrance compounds and quite specifically a project by Acqua Di Parma to pursue sustainable fragrance based on naturals, the old fashioned way. So I bought it blind. The ingredients even include OAKMOSS. Well it smells great and not like anything I know today. Futura is rustically bracing and reminds me of something very fresh and fragrant but certainly NOT a designer fragrance. Possibly a bug spray or scented soap from my youth. A hippy might enjoy this. I wouldn't say its a simple composition rather its uncomplicated smelling and a bit like Italian and especially Spanish cologne splashes - those big bottles one can buy in supermarkets to use in summer months or after a bath. I can imagine this being rejected by many noses today. Or some might feel its not worth the price, in comparison to those budget cologne waters. My nose adjusts quickly nowadays so I like this for now. Wait and see if that likability endures. The opening alone rewards any effort to experience it. Don't pass up the opportunity to spray this on if you see it at the fragrance counter. Also, Futura surely can be something to spray onto another fragrance that lacks a dynamite top.

It's a vetiver bomb, fresh and citrusy, with a spicy green plant sharpness, spices, grapefruit, and lots of lemon peel. There's also something of propolis and citronella. It's an entire core of vetiver surrounded by sharpness and freshness. Definitely, it's the spiciest and most aromatic in the line, just as Colonia Pura is the most floral. It also tends more towards the masculine side. Especially in its opening, it has a bit of the citrus note from Dior Homme Cologne (probably my favorite citrus note), but Colonia Futura lasts much longer on the skin. It's like Terre d'Hermès with its citrusy vetiver, but replacing the very ripe, almost overripe, orange of Hermès with lemon and lemon peel. It's the offspring of the original Colonia (light musk, vetiver, bergamot, and moss) and the original Eau Sauvage (sharp lemon, vetiver, moss, vetiver, lemon, and vetiver). As mentioned, vetiver, vetiver, vetiver—earthy and sharp, it even reminds me of string instruments like cellos and violins with their varnished wood (a very pleasant association, actually). Contrary to the line's reputation, this one lasts for hours on the skin, remaining fresh and sharp. It's a pointed and delicious perfume.

Found a bottle full bottle of this at my local flea market for just 30 clams. Colonia Futura is my first step into niche fragrances and I absolutely love it! opens up super citrusy and slightly spicy. As it dries down I get a mix of herbal floral woodiness with some zing still in the background. I find this to be very classy, smells like something my dad would've worn. That being said this probably isn't for the younger crowd. Not sweet at all and I probably would've hated it a year ago but my nose has changed a lot during my fragrance journey. It smells very familiar but I can't pin down exactly what, It kind of just reminds me of older fragrances. I wouldn't say this stands out so much that you need it in your collection but for the price I got it, it was hard to pass up. I find it to be very versatile and nonoffensive and I love the scent profile so I will likely be wearing this often. This was a very nice first step into niche scents for me and I would love to try more fragrances from this house. 6/10

Took me a good while to appreciate this Colonia release as I was comparing it to the original. Finally I started to understand what this was all about. It’s such a fresh clean scent which I understand for some maybe traditional in its scent profile but aren’t all ADP’s? Opening is crisp and the naturals used in this are really well put together. I get lively Grapefruit and lemon not a huge deal of spice but something in there pops. The mid is where the lavender comes into play and again such a stunning natural unsweetened version.. the vetiver in the base holds it altogether in what if it lasted longer than a hour or two this would be perfect. Performance is its big let down but great to grab when coming out of the shower and you want to extend the feeling of being fresh and clean for a further hour or so.

Colonia Futura is an interesting name for a scent which doesn’t feel futuristic or modern in the slightest, instead rather demonstrating a very classic and old school fougere scent profile. That’s not a criticism at all however, I actually think the scent is quite beautiful. The lavender in here is front and centre and smells photorealistic. That sharp green floral aspect is made even sharper by the juicy addition of lemon, bergamot and grapefruit which give it this classical men’s aftershave feel. A touch of dry sage and clean Vetiver round everything out very nicely. This scent is technically brilliant. If you love classical fougeres this is a must try, especially for the price it can be found at. Albeit a simplistic scent profile, it does this masculine perfume family incredible justice.

It’s nice...but nothing really unique. On my skin, I get a vetiver dominant scent. If you really enjoy ADP’s beautiful citrus openings, this one might let you down. It’s pretty earthy from the start. Opens with a gentlemanly soft citrus. As it dries down, the spicy lavender/vetiver takes over. As it dries down more, if becomes a soft earthy vetiver scent. Gentlemanly, professional vibe...not really a casual scent. Longevity was 6/7 hours on me. Projection is average. Certainly masculine and one could rock this year round...although best for warmer months. Overall, it’s not bottle worthy for me. It’s nice...but I already own a few fragrances that do what this does. I’ll enjoy my healthy decant...but that’s about it. 4/2/22 UPDATE - broke down and bought a bottle...the struggle is real😂😂😂

I completely get the comparison to eau sauvage but this is so much better in my opinion. Maybe eau sauvage before reformulation? But not the current eau sauvage. Initial opening has this crisp bright herbaceous citrous punch. Very uplifting and refreshing. After 15 minutes the middle notes come out to play with the top notes. The herbs and spices reveal themselves with a green welcome, a bit of florals too, maybe geranium or a slight light sour rose? Then when it settles and starts to dry down, you feel the lavender and sage wrapping everything so beautifully and set its course on a bedding of vetiver and very faint white musk. It is a happy scent. I normally don't like old school green scents but this one made me change my mind. I am happy that i have it in my collection. 🤍

Bitter, herbal, green citrus fragrance. Maybe it's the citrus selection or the blending method but this opens with a very bitter, astringent citrus note. I love it. No sweetness here. Like complaining of thirst on a hot day only to sprayed with bitter lemon-infused water. Within half an hour, it takes a greener feel drying down to a faint herbal, woody smell. I know it's an EDC (so it shouldn't be unexpected) but longevity is an alien word for this fragrance. I had to respray every 3hrs as it was barely noticeable on the skin after that time. Longevity is my only complaint. If this performed better, it would be a love for me. Great fragrance for a hot summer (or spring) day but you'll need a decant if you're going to be away from home for a long time.

It reminds me a lot of something not very popular called Haze, from Akro. This is very different from the original Colonia. It opens citrusy, but that doesn't last long at all; it becomes very herbal very quickly; I also detect something smokey and earthy. It "calms down" after 1-2 hours to become a mix of vetiver, lavender and sage. It's not sweet at all, but not bitter neither, probably thanks to the lavender. Just like Akro's Haze, this is an acquired taste, too. It's really not for everyone; I would strongly advise to sample first, unless you've established yourself in the niche world and have an open mind. AdP has finally taken some risk, and they delivered, imo.

Citrus, lavender and sage is the heart and soul of this scent. I love it and has been my go-to for summer since it's release because the herbs used here comes off as fresh linen without being soapy. Some herbs such as lavender and rosemary tend to smell like linen and that's what you're gonna smell like wearing this with a bit of citrus. Definitely worthy of having in your collection if you want clean that's something else than the usual musky aquatic or soapy clean. If you know ADP by now you know their scents smell very natural and nothing synthetic. Same goes for this one as well which makes that linen smell that much more cozy and calming.

This a quite a departure from standard AdP DNA - on my skin the opening is a very warm Pink Pepper & icy smooth Vetiver punch with a herbal and fresh grapefruit background... smells like somewhere between Creed’s Viking and Penhaligon’s greener fragrances. The dry down reminds me of a fresher, herbal infused Terre d’ Hermes. Not bad at all - definitely for the over-40s male at an informal party on a late Spring afternoon/evening. Decent projection for a few hours and decent staying power - remains as a faint skin scent the next morning. Reminds me of the opening of TFs Beau de Jour.

Grassy Vetiver with that signature Colonia opening. Citrus is short lived and vetiver is what i get after 5-10 mins of spraying the fragrance. Slightly powdery green notes with clean vetiver. Quality is top notch just like every other ADP. For me this one was not something special. It has a slight resemblance to TF Grey Vetiver in the composition of the fragrance but TF smells a bit modern and retains its freshness for a longer time. Surely try this if you are a vetiver lover.
