Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato

Acqua di Parma Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato is a citrus, aromatic, and woody fragrance. It opens with an intense burst of citrus, accompanied by herbal notes such as rosemary and petitgrain. About 10 minutes later, a ylang-ylang note becomes perceptible, blending with woody accords of patchouli and vetiver; this lends the scent a masculine, soapy character that persists throughout its evolution. Compared to its sibling fragrance, Il Profumo, the Millesimato version is more aromatic, herbal, and soapy. In contrast, Il Profumo features a prominent leather accord and is slightly woodier—though Millesimato also contains wood notes, primarily vetiver. It is best suited for daytime wear during spring, summer, and even autumn, and works well for both formal and casual occasions. Its longevity was excellent on me, lasting up to 10 hours with noticeable projection. As I understand it, this is a limited edition, so I recommend checking it out; if you enjoy the citrus-aromatic-woody style, you will almost certainly like it. I absolutely loved it.

Newly joined here so an amateur reviewer. However a huge fan of this house and have bought multiple of their fragrances - my current favourite is Colonia Il Profumo. So I was excited to acquire this limited edition also. TBH, when it arrived I was a bit unsure. The wonderful thing about Colonia Il Profumo is its opening sherbet citrus blast - and in this edition, that has been replaced by ylang, which is too dry on my view and should be sweeter. However on further wearing, it’s clear that the ylang adds more clarity and longevity as it dries down, so enjoying this edition more and more. In summary - an interesting flanker, alongside Colonia Il Profumo.

Found this at Corte Ingles and it's beautiful. I own the original and another flanker and it's better than both.

Absolutely heavenly smell. If only it wasn't this expensive but I understand the limited edition logic

Getting this from a sample..... Absolute citrus bomb opening, and settles in to a balance between the fresh photorealistic citrus fruits to the patchouli underneath. Nothing overly complex about it for the wild price point, but as with most of the Acqua di Parma range, it is mass appealing and generally a nice fresh smell. Whenever looking at heavy citrus fragrances, I always think, would I have this over Terre d'Hermes - no is the answer.

I had high hopes on this as it's peer "Il Profumo" let me down for its mainly synthetic dry down. The story behind Ylang Ylang harvest, its quality and exclusivity and so on and so forth attracted me with the conviction of meeting a good Colonia style perfume with a likable ending ( as original Colonia does)- Unfortunately, the dry-down is, again, the super synthetic smell that accompanied me for hours and hours and made me almost loath it. How bad.....

I’m a big fan of the Colonia line and have owned all of them, but this one is a real miss. It feels like a failed addition to the collection and does not justify either the price or the purpose for which it was created.

Tried it trough a sample: Opens up with a blast of floral notes mixed with bergamot. Lovely start, almost heavenly. You can sense the Ylang Ylang immediatly. After the opening the ylang is more prominent in the mids with a combined "italian Colonia" feel. Fresh, elegant and mature. (Leans more masculine) This fragrance is quite similar to Colonia il profumo but with a "yellow floral" added to it. The drydowns are identical. Due to it being limited edition adds an collector value to it, but if you own il profumo it ́s quite redundant to own both. It ́s a welcoming and lovely twist to the og formula. But personally i wished it was more "different".

I came to the store in Monte Napoleone in Milan just checking and the clerk offer me the newest Fragance Millesimato de la colonia I’ll profumo and OHHH !! What a surprise to my senses, I think my pupils got dilated at the moment I sniff it on paper ...even my son 18 years old was in owe with the fragance that emanated from the bottle, fully charged of energy from the Acqua Di Parma Magic , expensive YES !! But it worth it

These guys know how to make a Spring-Summer citrus, man. The 'old money aesthetic' in full beam (Rothschild cosplay, if you will), it's a wonder ADP didn't blow the hell up. Another one. Pleasant. Clean. Bitter-rind citrus with a very soft backbone of white florals. Can't go wrong.

Getting so tired of this brand. Constantly releasing flankers and forgettable florals. Exchanging free bottles for positive chatGPT-written reviews. Focusing on flashy galas and dinners. Buongiorno has been the only interesting release from this house in a while.

Way to alienate all those people who bought the original Colonia 2 this year, Acqua di Parma.
