Fragrance -Colonia Oud Acqua di Parma Bottle from - 2016 In my opinion,this fragrance is one of the best oud-leather combo on the planet. Colonia Oud opens on my skin with a fresh,elegant,clean and citrusy oud with dominant bergamot and with a hint of spicy,green and a bit woody and resinous coriander laying on top of a fine leather. Soon enough,during mid development,coriander becomes stronger,more spicy and more woody with a strong presence of clean oud and fine leather and with a nice touch of a bit rich,woody,balsamic and well-known fixative amyris(amyris-often referred to as West Indian Sandalwood, due to its similar aroma- it is a practical, less expensive alternative to Sandalwood essential oil).I can detect a hint of divine rose,but it's not listed in the notes. This all leads into a woody,leathery,musky,a bit dry and oudy base with dominant oud,leather and cedar and with a wisper of musk,sandalwood and a bit earthy patchouli. It has some similarities to Colonia Leather by Acqua di Parma. Longevity - 10/10(10+ hours) Silage/Projection - 9/10(heavy projection and silage for the first 3-4 hours,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather -For more or less any time of year.I personally wouldn't wear this on a really hot summer days. Age - 26+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 10/10 Main notes according to me - oud,leather,coriander,amyris,cedar,bergamot. The drydown is woody,leathery,musky,a bit dry and oudy and I get some -oud,leather,musk,sandalwood and patchouli. Emotions - sophisticated,classy,refined,profound,elegant, distinguished. Occasion -Perfect for special occasions,life defining moments,formal and semi-formal events. This is the scent of a distinguished gentleman.

Adding to my previous review: On my skin, I get average/good projection in the first hour, moderate/low projection in the following 3/4hours before settling as a skin scent. Good longevity, as I can still detect it after 12 hours and a shower (as a subtle skin scent). That said, unlike previous reviewers, it is no beast on my skin, and doesn't perform better than Colonia Ambra. The opening is a little disappointing, as I get an impression leather (despite there's no leather accord - the pyramid is inaccurate) and the usual wet wood note (a little amped up) supposed to give an impression of oud (no real oud oil here, probably just cypriol, like in Colonia Ambra), like in other designer oud frags, with an added supporting orange note. Then it transition through an elegant musky/soapy stage. The drydown is much more interesting though, with a woody/musky drydown, quite similar to Colonia Ambra (rounder in Oud, since there's no ambergris tincture). To me, the opening/heart seems like a fine-tuned/high-quality version of Versace Oud Noir (or should I say the opposite, since Versace ON has been released 1 year after this one). It wouldn't surprise me if the same -unknown- perfumer authored both. Whichever you choose - Colonia Oud or Colonia Ambra - you can't go wrong with either. They are definitely of the same family: indeed, of the 9 olfactive notes of Colonia Oud, 6 are shared with Colonia Ambra. The latter is fresher and more casual, while Oud is woodier/warmer, and maybe a little more formal. Personally, I chose Colonia Ambra, as it's a little funnier and interesting imho, even if more linear than Colonia Oud. As always, try before you buy! 30+, colder evenings

I'm not a big fan of Acqua Di Parma, so this caught me completely off guard. This is a clean, fresh, woody, and spicy fragrance with oud supporting it all the way. smells of quality and stays smelling like quality throughout the wear time. Open: It hits you with citrus and oud. Not a harsh oud, nor a bitter citrus. The Oud stays for the whole lifetime of the fragrance, but the citrus dies down over time little by little (as most citruses does). It's a Very pleasant and well balanced combination of oud and citrus and has an addictive scent. Mid: The spice, dry cedar, leather, and a clean musk starts to really shine underneath the Oud, and what's left of the citrus. It now reaches the "clean out of the shower" stage. This is where the musk really starts to give cleanness to the fragrance. Dry-down: Pretty much the same as the Mid, but the citrus is all but gone. Has a hint of sweetness, probably from the leather accord. Less projection, but still detectable in the air. This is an all year round, any time of day, any scenario and occasion type of fragrance. I can't think of an occasion where this wouldn't work. Suit or t-shirt and flip-flops. either way works. I would also say any age, as long as you don't prefer sweet gourmand fragrances. Leans very masculine in my opinion. Personal score: 9/10. I have a 5ml miniature bottle, and i'll be getting a larger bottle when it runs out. This is a fantastic fragrance.

Unique! I have been trying and discovering some wonderful scents from this house including this one. With it being summer I’ve been enjoying the citrus’s present in many Colonia fragrances which I possess. Colonia, Pura, and Essenza to be specific when I began to gauge the costs of full bottles. That’s when I spotted it. Colonia Oud in a huge 6 oz bottle. I had heard of this scent but never had a sample before. On sale for about 150 bucks. I began to research until finally deciding to blind buy it. Figuring I love the others, I Love Oud! Let’s see what this talk is about when you combine the two. As always, I am glad I did. Not only do I have a great scent in a huge bottle to turn to in the days ahead but I also expanded my knowledge and experience on this fragrance journey. While I can say that this was not what I expected, some bring about comparisons to Creed royal oud while others mention Oud Wood by Tom Ford, I’d say that this is very Unique and that I get the mentioning of those as this juice is of the finest quality as they are. Just way different. A fine, blind buy for me due to the fact that I like leathery, citrusy, Oud scents. Perfect for me.

An unbelievable masterpiece of perfumery, Acqua di Parma's Colonia Oud smells like nothing else out there. It's a dark citrus-oud combination with premium ingredients like Calabrian bergamot essential oil from Italy as well as amyris essential oil (West Indian sandalwood). Usually oud fragrances pair the oud with rose, vanilla, patchouli, or amber, but this goes a unique direction by pairing the oud with Italian citrus, sandalwood, and leather. This is another masculine power scent, akin to the feeling I get from smelling Creed Aventus or Mancera Cedrat Boise (but not smelling anything like them at all). I can't really describe how it smells too well since the ingredients are blended so well, so one would have to simply smell this for themselves. Colonia Oud is one of my favourite fragrances of all time. Projection is moderate leaning strong, while it also has the best longevity out of all the Acqua di Parma line, projecting well for over 5 hours. Overall this is the greatest thing Acqua di Parma has ever released in my opinion (along with the minty green Colonia Club, another of my favourites). 5/5

Tested on paper strip. Beautiful oud. Fall/Spring evenings, 30+ Edit: I retested it on paper. Unfortunately, I made the mistake to stop by the booth of MFK just before that, to smell MFK Oud (both the EDP and the Extrait de Parfum), and that killed the show. Of course, one can tell that AdP costs half of MFK... but there's barely any oud in AdP's Oud Colonia. It's a nice fragrance taken in its own, that keeps the fresh original Colonia vibes, a little more leathery. If it's and oud-centered fragrance you're looking for, pass on that one! That said, the non heady oud and citrus freshness make it one of the few (if not only) oud containing fragrance that could be worn in Summer evenings, assuming it's not extremely hot. Edit 2: tested on skin. Very elegant, good projection. Will buy a full bottle soon. Edit 3: testing it again today. No Oud in this one (other than the usual oud-like wet wood note found in any mainstream designer oud frag), but it's not a dealbreaker, as I find the leather/patchouli heart followed by the sandalwood/musk drydown beautiful (better than Colonia Leather's drydown).

lets talk about class and sophistication. It's elegant, masculine extreme classy scent. I believe only gentleman can put this on. Its the best version of oud where it is not overpowering and dirty yet very existing and sexy. Despite the fact it is cologne concentration. This master piece last for ages and when I say for ages i really mean it. Normally most of perfumes does not last on my skin at all, but this stuff is amazing, what else can I say that I wore it today 7:00 am in the morning and took two shower through the day and it is still on my skin the only thing sillage is not big and that what you want because oud is very rich and strong so if it is loud it will annoy people around. A signature scent that will grab you tons of compliments, boost your mood and make you recognisable. Furthermore, it worth every penny you spend on it specially if you do the maths and buy 180ml, at least you are 100% confident no one will smell like you. Just one last tip for sure it does have very organic natural authentic oud.

I tried Tom Ford Oud and Creed Royal Oud before I decided to buy AdP Oud. Tom Ford Oud is a well crafted Oud, but on my skin, it starts developing floral notes throughout the day, which makes it too feminine for me—I don't mind unisex but floral notes are a turn off for me. Creed Royal Oud is fantastic to smell because it's more herbal. It feels like if you're walking in a forest, right in front of agarwood. I loved it but not to wear as a fragrance. Also, it made me feel I'd only wear it on a rainy Sunday in Fall. Very special. For anybody in search of oud fragrances, give it a try. Now AdP Oud was just a wow. I'ts definitely an oud fragrance with reminiscences of sandal, a layer of leather (for some too leathery but for me not at all if you compare it with Tuscan Leather) and a layer of burnt match which is oddly addictive. It made me feel I could wear it each time I wear a suit or want to impress. Complex, different and appealing. Great longevity and medium projection and sillage. That's why I bought it.

Wow. This is an awesome, refreshing oud fragrance. Over the past two years, oud has become my favorite note. Of course, that means a lot of my favorite fragrances are suitable mostly for summer and autumn months. I have been on the hunt for an oud fragrance appropriate for my summer and spring rotation. Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud satisfies that craving perfectly. Admittedly, I didn't enjoy the fragrance at first, but it quickly became the one sample I kept returning to. The word that comes to mind every time I sniff my decant is "juicy." The bergamot and orange are almost edible in this fragrance; coupled with the oud and elegant leathers, you have a masterpiece of a fragrance. Arguably the best AdP has ever produced. I'll add finally that this is most appropriate for business-casual to formal attire. You'll definitely smell sophisticated with this one. Scent: 10/10 Performance: 7/10

When I read reviews about it and oud fragrances review, I mush interest for purchase oud fragrances. I also use oud fragrances which made in Saudia Arabia, but when i use this item more interesting only 1 or 2 sprays much more for day and long lasting. nose behind this fragrances more sniff like and like for want to smell. Great fragrance specially for special occasion, but this fragrance is more costly and not affordable for every person and not available in every shop. specially demand i can be purchase. I impressed by this perfume and much like it. I honestly write for if u like oud can purchase it. more impressed and most remarkable personality perfume. Long lasting is good more than on my skin 12 hours intense smell on about 6 hours and other on more than 8 hours. Top fragrance.

Sold my Colonia Intensa oud bottle last year and bought a bottle of Colonia oud for a reasonable price and what can I say. I did like colonia intensa a lot but I thought it was too good to use in school or at work and I never really used it except on one wedding in a relatively warm autumn evening (not the best time as it was a winter scent). I was kinda missing the luxury smell of colonia intensa and I got an opportunity to buy a bottle of colonia oud (very similar to intensa according to fragrantica) and to my surprice, it is identical to colonia intensa oud. I dont feel any difference at all. The oud is really nice and modern with some minty notes. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 9/10 Longevity: 8/10

This is a royal scent. One of the best smelling fragrances ever that I have tried. Beautiful, noble, so sophisticated and luxurious. I second the below comment by @chillzz1230 "Hands down best Oud. Nothing comes close. Pure magic in a bottle." The lightest, softest and most wearable oud touch with amazing citruses and woods. Extremely better than Creed Royal Oud in my opinion although I am a Creed Fan. Impossible to be disliked. If you find it discounted go blind buy and you will never regret. Great longevity and projection. One disadvantage though is that I detect ambroxan (not listed) in the drydown which I am not really a big fan of.

Not a review, but information for anyone seeking a clone. Fragrantica does not have it listed, but I recently blind purchased Éclat 788. As I own and love Colonia Oud, I was able to try them sid by side. All I can say is this is the closest match I have ever found in a clone, both in terms of notes and longevity, projection and sillage. There is a subtle difference in the sharpness of the opening, but not at all chemical or uncomfortable. And I get a bit less coriander while approaching drydown. Otherwise these two are twins. This one is so well done that it makes me want to explore other clones from the same house.

Smooth, vanilla, ambery, soft, friendly oud with a hint of sweetness. Not a funky or animalic off putting oud but a very friendly approachable oud. Love it for winter and colder fall weather. Think it'll be too dense and cloying in hot weather. Great date night scent. Scent: 8.5 / Sillage: 8 / Longevity: 8 EDIT (9/13/22): Revisiting again and still loving it. Smooth tuxedo vibes. Dark and polished but a friendly gentleman. EDIT: My old notes at the beginning of my frag journey...I guess my tastes have evolved as I didn't like it initially, but digging it now. I have usually not had good experiences with ADP fragrances before prmarily because of longevity issues. But this baby changes it all wow! I love the scent, the dry down and the longevity and am considering switching to this as my all weather signature scent! It's a stunner and although I never wear scents for compliments this one got quite a few in the 3 days that I have owned it. A must have for the fine mature gentleman connoisseur amongst you. scent: 9 sillage: 7 longevity: 8 (8-10hrs solid) value: 8

My first Oud perfume (about some 5-6 years ago). This plus the Acqua di Parma DNA make this absolutely amazing ... plus the leather note. Elegant. Sophisticated. Classy. I go nose blind after a while, but I've received compliments about 6 h after spraying it when I could barely smell it on me. Apparently I still had a "fragrance bubble" around me. Absolute greatness! One of my top five picks to take with me to a deserted island in the event of a zombie apocalypse. I really love this stuff.

This is one of the most unique scents in my collection. The oud is present but it's very subdued. The citrus and leather are the prominent stars of this composition. Works well in both cool and warm weather (I wore this to dinner one night during a vacation in Mexico. Got nothing but complements from other vacationers.) This is definitely a long lasting complement monster, but do not blind buy this. Get a sample first because this may not be for everyone. 9/10 from me!

This is very sharp, almost unwearable for me in the 1rst hour or so, and thats with 2 or 3 sprays! It does however start to calm down and be more user friendly. It smells ALOT better in the scent cloud around you, rather than trying to smell directly on the skin! I've only tried this recently in the heat though, so I'm gonna try agin in cooler weather, hoping it won't be as aggressive! People around you should love this, but don't let them get too close...

If you are looking for an oud that can be worn year round, look no further. This is an amazing fresh take on oud. Fantastically blended. Fresh, bright, beautiful citruses off the top. If you are at all familiar with the house you should know that when they take on any kind of citrus they almost never fail. And the oud is definitely there, but it is by no means dark and heavy, but more airy and light. Definitely signature scent worthy for the right person.

finally got my hands on this rather more vintage bottle, my first love for oud fragrances that started my journey as a perfume collector. Decided to finally purchase this after I have 30+ fragrances in my collection. Its not your usual oud fragrance, its rather fresh & classy, safe enough as an office scent, classy enough as a night scent, but heat & humid will kill this fragrance. Performance is so-so, not so bad for a cologne concentree.

What an absolute beast on longevity is this one. Of course it depends what’s the fabric you’re using but it will last hours and hours no matter which one you’re wearing. The odor it’s elegant, it immediately hits you at the opening, in a good way I mean it, and it keeps stronger on middle notes, be careful with not over spray it. For sure I would not use it daily, keep it for nice events you have at night time, in winter and autumn.

WOW! Well crafted and extremely balanced from start to finish. Great longevity and sillage. The most unique Oud fragrance I own or have tried. It has the AdP dna for sure but the juice is so much more than the usual. Nice citrus with spice with a soapy type oud and musk combination with hints of leather. Exceptional IMO. A must have. Full bottle worthy. If you find this juice in your price range grab it up. Enjoy!

On the opening, it’s pure Oud with citrus notes. A bit overwhelming; perhaps a bit old fashioned. On the dry down, the leather really takes over and works well with the Oud, accompanied by a soft amber scent. Not bad. Edit; I’ve been wearing this for three days now and I can honestly say, it is divine. I put it on at 10am and can still smell it when I’m in the car at 5pm. Luxury Oud. Not old fashioned at all.

For me, this fragrance is one of the best oud base scents I'ver ever smelled! It starts with a nice juicy citrucy note with some woods in the back and 5/10 min later the oud starts to take place to be the main character of this beautiful fragrance. It's a very clean, a bit fresh and elegant oud, very well blended with a leather accord, which gives the scent more warmth and depth. 10/10!

Colonia Oud is amazing but will not suit everyone, the opening is very sharp and oudy, beautiful but you can love it as much as someone else can hate it. After some time the oud has less impact than the leather in this one as the fragrance will quickly smell like a luxury leather on a genuine jacket. You still can wear this casually. Very masculine, very good performances

One of my favourite. The opening is citrus with the woody notes in the background. This smell is most likely linear. In the base is musk and leather . Leather is not dominant here , only a supplement to rich and deep oud mixed with amyris. Love this so much, using with so much pleasure!

Ive never smelt the new version/black bottle....but the brown bottle of this stuff is fu****g amazing... had maybe 8 bottles of this stuff over the past 12 years. got 1 x half bottles left...I've smelt many top aftershaves over the years and this still filters to the top......

What makes this frag really great is the marvelous balance here between oud and amyris (torchwood oil), modulated by the leathery base. It softens the otherwise somewhat violent agarwood notes while respecting all the dimensions of this oud's outstanding scent.

I dont have a problem to use this perfume for the rest of my life , i own creed aventus, dior sauvage parfum, versace eros, acqua do gio profumo, valentino uomo intense. Acqua di parma oud is my most complimented fragrance , i get 5 complements in one day

I LOVE this one. It smells like what I imagine an old world aristocrats office smells like. I don't want to share it with you savages ;) this is fantastic for cooler nights and is beastly so I go light on the trigger. a little dab will do ya.

This is a seriously impressive fragrance. The oud is present but not overpowering, and the citrus top notes add a refreshing brightness that balances it perfectly. It's definitely masculine and has great longevity.

Pure magic, I find this fragrance gets better as the day goes on. My skin does not do well with most fragrances I use ending in poor longevity, but not this powerhouse! Di Parma Colonia Oud screams money and class.

A bright oud fragrance, not like other oud based fragrance that usually dark fragrance. In my opinion this fragrance is suitable to used in daylight. Great sillage, projection and longetivity.

This is the best OUD I have smelt, my son has this on his nightgown, 48 hours plus smells like it is just been sprayed. Very warm and beautiful! Projecting and most certainly beautiful.

This is one of my favourite oud fragrances. Amazing scent. It evokes a special feeling in me. Longevity is very good! and sillage is perfect. Performance is top. Just 2 sprays enough.

When you spray aventus or sauvage or acqua di gio profumo or bleu de chanel , all around said that they smell it before , this is my most unique perfume at all

Does anyone smell something resembling honey? I do! 🍯 Its accords remind me of the most natural and strangely attractive honey with propolis. • From the opening, I don’t get an “in your face” citruses. Just enough to lend the Acqua Di Parma DNA to the perfume. Instead, it dissipates very fast, giving room for the beautiful oudy-honey-propolis smell that I talked about, with a rich floral background and a leathery touch in the dry down. Because of this honey-propolis vibe, Acqua Di Parma Colonia Oud presents a slightly medicinal type of oud. But it has to be said: it’s not overwhelming at all. In fact, it’s amazing the way it is. • Acqua Di Parma Colonia Oud is very linear, not in a bad way. It’s blended so perfectly, that its consistent oudy-honey-propolis smell remains until the end. And when I say end, it means a loooong time after you spray it. I’m talking about 8-plus hours of longevity and at least an arms length projection in the first 2-3 hours. If you close your eyes and sniff it deeply, you’ll notice a floral note standing up, not as a main player. It’s Amyris. 🌼 It’s fantastic how this floral note gives richness to the perfume, despite being so sutil. Another thing you’ll notice is some “brightness”. Probably it comes from the coriander seed. As in gastronomy, coriander seeds confers some “brightness” or “freshness” to the recipe. (Just a little digression: you would be surprised how gastronomy and perfumery look alike) The leather only presents itself in the dry down. • Unlike most people here, I don’t think this is a fragrance more appropriate to the night. It’s “brightness” match perfectly with the day. I would recommend Acqua Di Parma Colonia Oud for the cooler days of spring 🌱 or for the autumn 🍁. But if you, like me that live in Brazil, use to face hotter days, go on and enjoy the fragrance. Just go easy with the trigger. 😉 • To me, Acqua Di Parma Colonia Oud is an opulent translucent nutty-brown honey pouring over a velvety, cracked brown trunk of a tree, in a forest, next to the flowers.

This is hands down my signature fragrance I have both 100ml./3.4 oz and, 180ml/6 oz. bottle of ACQUA DI PARM OUD from the original 2012, and, unisex 2019 version. I absolutely love, love, LOVE this fragrance.🤪 My mom loves it, my co-workers love heck it even my doctor loves it. Nearly every single time I wear it I get complements. It's long lasting and, not to to over powering. I now own close to different bottles of cologne and, Acqua Di Parma Oud is my all time favorite it just reminds of the smell of fresh cut exotic wood. A few years ago I was killing time at my local Bloomingdale's department store before a job interview, and I stumbled into the men's fragrance department. I randomly picked up the large dark brown 6 oz. bottle of Acqua Di Parma Oud and, at first spray I feel in love with it except with the price the 6oz. bottle cost well over $250 US dollars😦just this past Spring of 2020 I I finally purchased my first bottle of Acqua Di Parma OUD online at a discounted price and, out of all bottles the fragrance house of Acqua di Parma makes to me this is ranked number #1☝️ 👍 Note: For those of you reading my review if you want this fragrance to last even longer try moisturizing the area you usually spray (neck, wrist, inside of elbows, lower armpits) with FRAGRANCE FREE lotion or non scented oil FIRST. Colonia Oud epitomises the combination of classic Italian perfumery with clean, contemporary western oud. It opens with a juicy burst of bergamot and orange, alongside a refreshingly spicy pairing of amyris and coriander. This is soon followed by a clean-cut, modern, synthetic oud which is smoothed round the edges, and mellowed to match the continental style of Acqua di Parma. Combine this with a soft leather, backed up by sandalwood and cedar - and you’re left with a scent as fresh and invigorating as it is dark and brooding. This fragrance stays true to the heritage of the original Colonia, utilising darker notes to take it that step further. It’s great for casual everyday wear as well as formal occasions, and would work very well as a signature scent for a classical individual.

Definitely pleasant, hard to dislike I think. A bit of a Classic acqua di palma opening with some wood in the background, but lots of balsamic notes. A touch sickly sweet . The mids are gentle oud, slightly medicinal but not harsh with a very slight hint of rose, then sweet leather takes over backed by a gentle powdery soap. The end of the dry down is sweet and woody, very smooth and leathery, just a hint of soap left. Everything is very rounded. Smooth and soft. I'd like a little something to cut through, maybe a touch of bitter orange. Good afternoon scent on a warm autumn day.

I don't get any oud, but I do get a lot of leather. Also, opens like a really sweet and fresh, fruity/citrusy popscicle. Coriander disappears after the opening, and no, it won't make you smell like indian food, it's really fresh and uplifting. I think this perfume can be worn even in summer, definitely a scent for the entire year. First fresh/fruity, non-oriental oud scent I've encountered. On my skin, performance is so-so. Not like people described the old formulation. Better than a freshie, but definitely no powerhouse.

This is an aquatic oud-leather for the summer. A basic, traditional summery Middle Eastern blend that's already well-known in certain ME countries for daily casual use. This is not considered fancy in the region I'm talking about, but rather their basic cologne that you smell everywhere."Piccante Corpo Oud" by "Oud Milano" is a better option for such a style; however, "Oud Milano" is not listed within Fragrantica. 2024 Edit: Oud Milano had closed permanently, and all of their products are pulled out of market.

The opening is Sharp and tangy. Then it just melts into a very comfy cozy LIGHT oud/leather scent with a hinge of citrus in form of a bergamot. Office-friendly oud and a safe choice both for women and men for all-year-around oud. I find that it sits Close to skin and does not Project, but I might be wrong. For my personal taste, I prefer Jo Malone Oud&Bergamot for a citrusy oud. Worth sampling if you like this one.

It might be just my decant though, because I am not getting the beast performance every one here boast about. To me, its just an eau de cologne. Its not bad, its a very safe, day time, office friendly scent. Lately I have been getting a lot of weird looks at the office, ever since I started wearing more... creative type of frags such as Oud Ispahan and Jubilation 25, I think its time to dial back a little bit.
