Colonia Vaniglia

Just got this, Bought blindly as per fragrantica’s ’remind me of’ section - trying to find smth similar to traversee du bosphore. My first fail (again because of Fragrantica remind me of section) was skin on skin (awful), at least this ‘Fail’ is a gorgeous vanilla scent, far from basic, and very far from being masculine! At best, it’s a unisex frag but in all honestly, and let’s be real : this is a fem scent! Good find all in all, this vanilla is gourmand like at the dry down

my opinion : one of best Vanilla fragrance in market very seductive and compliments getter The scent is gourmand-sweet opened with Bergamot, Mandarin orange then dry down with Vanilla well blended with jasmine and little Musk the longevity is great around 8 hours easily with very good projection & silage for first 3 hours then powerful skin scent in general I love Acqua Di Parma , and this is one of my top 5

This is the sixth in my brown bottle collection, and it follows Oud, Leather, Mirra, Amber and Ebano. As it is plain to see, I have quite an affinity with this line! The others all in the main share a lot of character and I would say in my (limited experience) opinion this is by far the most different of the brood. Sweet, floral and Gormand but with background hallmark barbershop accents. It's VERY unisex and leans slightly feminine. I would certainly choose others in the range before Vaniglia; Oud, Leather and Amber being my favourites. That said, this is a very distinct fragrance and certainly not one I plan to move on any time soon.

The notes seem feminine to unisex, on me , it’s completely spicy and musky with a hint of vanilla in the background. Definitely a masculine blend with my chemistry, getting , V&R - Spice Bomb vibes, gave to my husband, he really liked it !

I’ve wanted to grab a sample of this hard-to-find member of the Ingredients Collection and whilst some of AdP’s brown bottles can be hit-or-miss for my personal tastes, unfortunately this Vaniglia is a real failure. It opens up with a middle-aged and matronly literature teacher smell of very sweet ‘strawberry shortcake with hints of meringue’ vibe that fades into what reminds me of my grandmothers bowl of pot-pourri. This is NOT a masculine perfume by any stretch of the imagination and coming from a perfume house that has produced some great fragrances it seems AdP have really dropped the ball on Vaniglia and decided to completely bypass the process of perfumery altogether.

I was really hoping for a lot from this fragrance since I like the classic feel of AdP and I also love vanilla. I was seriously disappointed. I am used to very clean, real scents from AdP but this one is just gross. I get the connection to Dior Addict but honestly, putting this frag on the same level with Addict is a serious insult to Addict. Vaniglia comes off smelling at first like a blast of sour, creamy milk and a cheap, stale, vanilla pipe tobacco-scented candle. Once it calms down a bit, we can add puppy breath in to the mix. It's just off. I can't imagine anyone wanting to smell like this.

I was actually in the mood for a rich, classy gourmand today, so doused my self at home in Dior’s Fève Délicieuse, enjoying it very much for hours. Then in the evening I passed the Acqua di Parma counter at Harrods and remembered to ask about their new release “Vaniglia”. I was so excited to see it, knowing it is an exclusive... Interestingly the first thing I thought when I sprayed it on was that these two are unexpectedly so similar to ech other, in the richness and deliciousness, with the difference off course that one is built around vanilla and the other around tonka bean... both intense and radiant, with Vaniglia having even more of the bursting freshnes and vibrancy straight away, thanks to the mandarin, bergamot and orange, and maybe seamingly easier to wear at first then the sumptuous Fève... Then it started settling down to a nice vanilla but les sensual and less complex then Dior. So these perfumes are seamingli very similar in the initial idea. Vaniglia is rich at first but more streamlined then Dior. I suddenly thought of it as an easier to wear version of Fève. After an hour however on my skin it became quite light, subtle and soft, which is in big contrast with the intense, rich opening, but this happens to me with all the Acqua di Parma fragrances, they become extremely faint on my skin very soon, lasting better if sprayed on clothes. It smells of good quality natural ingredients, worthy of the house that makes it, but nothing really new or exciting in the end. A nice, pretty vanilla for grown ups with an elegant, fine drydown. I had no idea it is meant to be a men’s fragrance till I red the description here. I am a woman and would have easylly bougjt it formyself and used it, altgough I am sure it would be lovely on a men as well as it is not overly sweet. For me it is definitely a unisex fragrance, there is nothing overly masculine about it. I will however stick to Fève Délicieuse which I find more sensual and intriguing for an oriental fragrance.

This is amazing. The opening was strong and confusing and masculine. I gave it a chance and let it dry down and wow. A really nice grown up vanilla. A vanilla that’s sweet with depth. It ALMOST has a hint of almond/marzipan/(..amaretto?) though not listen on the notes that’s just what my nose gets. Projects well with a good sillage. Definitely for cooler weather but still can be worn in spring/summer nights. I live in Canada and if it’s over 23 degrees I don’t think I’ll wear it unless I’m in a highly air conditioned environment. Perfectly unisex gourmand, doesn’t lean feminine or masculine. It’s not overly sweet (even though I do like overly sweet sometimes)

This is a feminine scent , not masculine. Must have been misdiagnosed. A mediocre feminine scent at that. I wouldn’t wear as a man. Vanilla ,jasmine and citrus. There are better scents for a man or woman thats vanilla based. Disappointing, I was expecting ADP to deliver a rival to Tom Fords Tobacco Vanille

Smells Delicious, Wonderful. I’m a man and I get lots of compliments from gorgeous women. Some people have told me that I leave a trail behind of about 20 feet wherever a go. This one is my second favorite from AdP, Leather is the #1. (Just in case, English is my second language)

Citrus and vanilla. I wouldn't think it would work. Thankfully there is a bit more orange than bergamot. Pleasing fragrance. It's good, but not great. If I could change this fragrance, I would amp up the orange and tone down the jasmine. ⭐⭐⭐
