Luce di Rosa

@agonzony - you've epitomised what this site has become. 1) You comment in the "review" section without reviewing the fragrance 2) "No one is asking for" - Where is your market research showing this? How many fragrance houses release fragrances that "people are asking for?" 3) The ADP brand is built nearly ENTIRELY on single-ingredient fragrances. Such a strange comment to make, you clearly dont understand their brand offerings. 4) The number of Noteworthy single ingredient fragrances by ADP is huge. Im not even going to list them here because they have more noteworthy ones that poor ones Anyway, as for the fragrance.... It's a well executed citrus/rose. The rose is very "clean". I describe many oud/rose combos as having a dirty rose note (not in a bad way - just a descriptive term - maybe "heavy" is a better term) but this is a pure and clean rose. The "clean" element is probably helped by cedar and musk The pepper and cardamom adds the spice on the top that stops it being a pure Floral. This means it may appeal to men more than the "rose based fragrance" description would imply. Performance for a citrus is well above average.

Nice rose fragrance with an interesting light woody base. Citruses and pepper (pink and black) are present with the signature ADP citruses fizzing from the top. Not a powerful rose scent, this is more fresh and light. Can be pulled off in high heat or cooler temperatures, so it's very functional. Should be fine for office use. I don't think it's as beautiful as POAL, Rose De Jamal, or Kilian RO so if you're looking for the best of the best, give those a shot first. However, if you're a rose aficionado who wants to wear it in the heat of the summer, I'd say this is a fairly safe option, along with perhaps MFK's rose, which offers some versatility as well. This is such a fresh green aromatic rose. I rarely love rose when it’s accompanied by citrus, typically I find that citrus turns rose bitter and sharp, but this rose smells amazing here. The pepper and cardamom and geranium are really coming together to balance it out and make it ultra fresh and light, and green. This is a spicy watery verdant fragrance. It smells like the season spring embodied. It’s bright and fresh and delicious. It smells like when you pick a leaf off of a tree and rip it open and you get that chlorophyll living leaf smell. <3

Luce di Rosa is the exaltation of a Bulgarian rose, modern and magically fused in citrus Mediterranean notes, bright, clear and shining, joyfully lively and sparkling with black and pink pepper. Temporal olfactory evolution turns towards strong notes of fresh vetiver and enveloping and reassuring notes of precious woods and voluptuous musks. Undoubtedly a fragrance that embodies the brightness and freshness of the summer.

Disclosure: this is a scent I put on everyday in late evening and it’s a joyful rose, so I do recommend. Having said that, there’s a bit in me that wishes it had more rose, and less citrus - without being cloying. But still a strong part of my collection.

It smells posh but it isn't the loud "look at me I'm rich" smell, rather quiet luxury that still turns heads and makes people wonder what it was

Testing Luce di Rosa from a 1.5 ml Aqua di Parma official sample. This perfume is true to its name at least in longevity: it’s a soft spicy, citrusy, aromatic rose focused scent with a strong geranium presence all through its life. Almost equal parts of rose and geranium. It’s not necessarily the lightest, luminous rose forward fragrance on the market but it’s not the deepest/darker either. Unlike some other niche brands creations centred around rose I have tried recently, Aqua di Parma took Luce di Rosa in a more complex, nuanced direction, made it less sweet, not powdery but still kept it light. This is not a heavy rose scent but has some depth and contrast. The woods from the base notes are prominent once the juice dries down. Also, it has decent performance. It’s still overpriced for what it is in my opinion and it’s not the one for me, but it’s a bit more interesting. Different than other 2025 rose focused perfumes. Up to this day, I couldn’t find a better rose scent than Atomic Rose by Initio. Afternoon trying quite a few of newer releases, I need to acknowledge what a masterpiece of perfume Atomic Rose is!! Sorry Aqua di Parma, I usually love your releases but Luce di Rosa is a pass...

I personally dislike the opening notes; they’re too bright and pungent. However, after the dry-down, the heart notes are absolutely beautiful and well-balanced. I've worn this perfume on colder days, and it's a good choice. The scent lingers on clothes for days afterward.

This is a must try on skin, testing on paper was overwhelmingly peppery for me. On skin you get the green, rose and woody notes really shining through.

7.8/10 Clean rose scent. Not too floral so as to not be too feminine. A slight energising bitterness is there as well. Very enjoyable.

Beautiful floral scent. I love it

A very peppery rose. Two different kinds of pepper. Upon spraying I get the pink pepper first with the bergamot, and then the black pepper appears alongside the rose. It's fine, but I prefer other peppery roses. Luce Di Rosa has a noticeable geranium tinge that makes it a no-go for me, but perhaps others may find it pleasant.

@jonsalter so we can't make statements about the industry, brands, direction? We are strictly limited to "reviews" of the scents of individual fragrances? Is that your rule or Fragrantica's? Go check the number of comments the average ADP release gets. Look at the mentions it gets in the community (FB, IG, TT, YT, blogs, etc.). Obviously when I say "no one is asking for this," it's hyperbole. But it expresses the point, which you've chosen to be obtuse about, that hardly anyone is talking about these and they won't talk about this one. ADP is my favorite house. I've tried almost every single one of their offerings. They've tried this floral direction for years and I've literally never seen any interest in the community. The florals are boring, conventional, and push no boundaries. My comment is a tiny attempt at pushing them to do something more creative because I want to see them succeed. You don't need to be upset because I have an opinion that you don't agree with. Just leave your review on the fragrance since that's what you believe the review section is strictly for.

Quite sour, bright, and slightly spicy with a hint of wood. ADP’s website references Longoza Oil as a top note - not familiar with the scent of Longoza; however, I am naively keen to attribute the spiced carnation vibe of the scent to it. Very vibrant as a scent, almost grapefruit vibe similar to Pompelmo by L.O. (Perhaps the citrus with the Vetiver in the base?) - up close it makes me want to wince. After being awestruck with Mandarino di Sicilia, this was quite a let down . Very thin in comparison, and, to me, not worth the price tag. Comparing to the other Signatures of the Sun line, I would say in a way most similar in vein to Magnolia Infinita and perhaps Osmanthus ... pre-reformation.

It is a Cassis-Rose (Geranium) again. It reminds me of Kelly Caleche by Hermès, and also Rose & Cuir by Frédéric Malle (not much as a "grape juice" as it is). It's not in the notes here, but there's a certain amount of cassis in there, and there's a little bit of a leathery woody nuance, like the residue of guaiac wood. It is a subtle and harmonious scent like other AdF perfumes but not interesting.

There can be no more appropriate name for this fragrance: Luce di Rosa is a bright, light, crisp fragrance, with a slightly sour rose exalted in this side by the mandarin, which I feel is very strongly present along with the spices. Trust me when I say this. Luce di Rosa is 90-95% similar to YSL Ultime (Discontinued) and Rasasi Its Essential. These are mass pleasing mild rose fragrances which leans "fresh" Considering Ultime is discontinued now , this can be a really good alternative of it as well as costs way less than ysl.
