Mirto di Panarea La Riserva Eau de Parfum

Mirto di Panarea La Riserva is a citrusy, fruity, and aromatic fragrance. Its opening is citrusy and fruity, with prominent and very pleasant notes of citron and myrtle. As time passes, aromatic notes such as lavender, sage, and juniper berries give it a greener and woodier tone, until it reaches its dry-down phase where a slight note of patchouli is also perceived, but the woody and fruity aroma remains until the end of its development. This version of Mirto di Panarea is still suitable for daytime wear, spring and summer, casual situations, office work, or simply for the pleasure of smelling fresh and citrusy. Its longevity has improved compared to the original, being slightly more intense. On me, it lasted approximately 8 hours, with moderate sillage. I already loved the original Mirto di Panarea, and I like this one even more. It has a delicious scent suitable for both men and women. If you haven't tried it yet, I encourage you to do so.

Oh this perfume is like an explosion of all senses. I have the original. How to describe their difference is to describe their connection to life. The original is a very spiritual scent. This is more sensitive. It touches all your senses, it is romantic, sensual. It like a composition of sea, land and air. I see me walking on an island, with the sun shining in a moist area, the air is filled with citrus, myrrh, lavender, and junipress. This perfume opens with the subtle citrus scent. Then the myrtle opens up in the middle. It is not as prominent in the original but if you have the myrtle plant in your garden, you immediately recognize it. Then the lavender comes trough and mixes with base notes and myrrh in a very elegant scent. This is just a marvelous and elegant perfume. This is awesome.

I absolutely love the Riserva edition of Mirto de Panarea. As others have said, it is less citrusy than the original. The only credited citrus note is citron. Riserva is an aromatic bomb 💣 It smells as if you are walking through a beautiful aromatic herb garden. Just looking at the notes, I actually love every piece of this creation lol ... juniper, citron, lavender, sage, Myrtle, myrrh, patchouli, labdanum and mastic. It has good longevity and projection. And best of all, my wife likes it on me, which is very very very very very rare. 9/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.6

I have spent quite a lot of time with Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo testers over the years, being frustrated that the fragrances that sounded so beautiful were disappointingly 'plain' for want of a better term, and impossibly short-lived anyway. All change with this one! Beautifully aromatic and green, bitter herbs and sprightly citrus that seem inclined to stick around for a while (thanks, apparently to the dread amberwoods which I can never identify anyway). The whole composition is absolutely gorgeous. I will need to check out the other Riserva options now.

Beautiful "upgrade" to my favourite scent of the line. This has more depth to it than the EdT, lasts longer and is slightly sweeter, while staying just as green and funky. Lovely release, as long as we don't look at the €230 retail price tag for the 100ml. (Where the EdT is €155 for that same 100ml.) Not worth getting at retail, especially if you already have the EdT, since they are very similar.

This one packs much more punch the the subtle, creamy original. I like original Mirto Di Panarea, but I find this one so much better. More woody, less aromatic, less feminine. I do not find it redundant have both, they are not that similar. The longevity and projection are multiple classes above the EDT. Love it.

I loved the OG mirto, but this one is even better! It smells like a distilled version of the OG mirto mixed with gin.

Citrus combination with dryer drydown makes it seem great for summer nights - hint of gin

My recent encounter with Acqua di Parma was a happy accident. I saw a sample of what I thought was the classic Mirto di Panarea (2008), a fragrance I hadn't smelled in years. But upon receiving it, I realized it was a new EDP, named Mirto di Panarea La Riserva . Though it appears to be a flanker, the scent has almost no connection to the original. The iconic myrtle note of the classic MdP is barely noticeable here. The opening is a definite "wow." It's a powerful, citrusy, metallic, and woody citron-rosemary accord with a touch of juniper. This initial blast instantly reminded me of two other fragrances: the openings of FZOTIC/Bruno Fazzolari's Five (2013) and, in some extent, Ferragamo's Acqua Essenziale (2013) . All three share that clean, sharp, and almost futuristic opening that feels both modern and invigorating. However, the impressive start doesn't last long. As the citrus notes fade, the metallic accord gets stronger, and a subtle yet high-pitched peppery note of Iso E Super becomes increasingly and rapidly noticeable. This shift leads the drydown to become strikingly similar to that of Atelier Cologne's Bohemian Orange Blossom (2022) —or dozens of summer fragrances from main-strain designer brands in the last decade—with a key distinction: while the Atelier uses a notable dose of neroli and overall feels lighter in a way of EDT; La Riserva makes the same space with rosemary and feels stronger like an EDP after all. While both are in the fresh citrus category, this synthetic, dusty, peppery, and woody drydown is not what I typically seek in this genre. I wish its drydown could have been better. Even a reinterpretation of Five's drydown would have been preferable to this adaptation of Bohemian Orange Blossom's. Rating: 9/10 for the openning; 3/10 for the drydown

I find the opening a bit harsh and with petrochemical connotations, to be honest. A “well-known member” of a different site said of the original that it smelled like screenwash. While I like the original a lot, I think he could be on to something if he referred to La Riserva. For a fresh, more masculine myrtle scent, I recommend Osaïto from M. Micallef instead. Note: The dry down is quite nice, surprisingly enough. It just takes quite a bit of time for the slightly unpleasant top to dissipate. At least you should try this one before buying.

I love the composition of the original EDT, but this is a bit of a departure. It’s hyper aromatic, like pouring gin and green sticks through a wood chipper. It blasts you with herbs and green notes and a hint of citrus, with the original DNA hiding underneath it. I’m curious to see how it smells once it dries down more; they were unable to give me a sample in the store unfortunately. I do not feel that this is a safe blind buy.

this version is overpowered with a woody sage, peppery top that takes over the creaminess of the original EDT. it makes it smell unpleasant and more earthy. i would stick to the original EDT

I am not sure what combination in this frag at the beginning to half an hour reminds me of Bleu Marine Pour Lui by Pierre Cardin (1986). https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Pierre-Cardin/Bleu-Marine-Pour-Lui-2594.html It might be the Citron + Myrtle + Sage + Lavender and maybe the Lentisque. Some of what I mentioned may not be included in the notes of that Bleu Marine Pour Lui, but I am sure that some of each constituent in each mentioned ingredients above may work its way to recall me with that nostalgic scent I really enjoyed when I was very very young. I like this Mirto di Panarea la Riserva 2025 anyway. Its greenness, refreshing and dry juniper berries, that cineol among others in Myrtle and the aromatic tea like in lentisque really make my day every time I spritz it on.

This gives me the same feeling as nasamoto black afgano. But the dry down which come furth after like 1 hour is basicaly just the myrrh and labdanum, very balsamic. I think the dry down smells like old italian church. Tough i get why people would like this since it kinada old school designer

What is this, the fifth iteration of Mirto di Panarea released by ADP? Since it's an EDP, let's hope this one is actually a noticable departure from the original.
