Note di Colonia I

normally i dont consider the niche category, i think it's too expensive for a scented water. i have only few from acqua di parma because the testers have a good price. in a local store i found the tester of acqua di parma note di colonia I for a very good price. regarding the scent, note di colonia I is a great freshie tipical from the house. it opens with bergamot and neroli, then lavender, a soft rose, cedar and a touch of fig(not listed but there's something similar). this cologne will not rock your world for sure but i have to say it's EXTREMELY well done, the quality of the composition is incredible, so smooth and rounded. it's nothing groundbraking but at the same time it's quite unique, there's nothing really comparable. to me a mix of the original a.d.p. colonia + dior dune can be a good picture of what note I is. a joyful, refined edc that make u feel on holiday, next to the amalfi coast in a sunny day. not whorty for the retail price but if u find a tester for less than 90euro like me grab it, im happy to have it without spending crazy money. for 25 and up, for spring, summer and early fall. casual and formal situations. performance just ok, better in longevity than sillage. it's unisex but to me it's more masculine. nice heavy glass as well, one of the heaviest i ever had. normalmente non considero la categoria di nicchia, non mi va di vendere gli organi per odorare bene per due ore...comunque, ho trovato in un negozio il tester di acqua di parma note di colonia I per un ottimo prezzo, così ne ho approfittato. colonia fresca con bergamotto, lavanda, rosa e cedro. non è niente di sconvolgente ma sicuramente ha un odore buonissimo e la raffinatezza e la qualità con cui è fatto è dannatamente evidente. pur non essendo sconvolgente, è difficile trovare un esatto termine di paragone. diciamo che un mix della colonia adp originale + dior dune può dare una vaga idea. performance normale, unisex ma seconde me più maschile. a prezzo intero è follia, per meno di 100euro un affarone. scent-9 longevity- 7,5 sillage-7 uniqueness-8 presentation-7,5 versatility-8 back up bottle?no compliment factor-7,5 my vote-8,5 in one word- mediterraneo alternative- adp colonia, dior dune pour homme. adp fico di amalfi.

The opening is clean, bright, and very pure. Fresh citrus with a soft elegant touch. From the first spray it feels different, very refined and calm. I don’t see it similar to typical colognes. It has that Acqua di Parma DNA, but on another level. More depth, more clarity, more presence. Performance is modest as expected from this type. Around 3 to 4 hours on skin, and on clothes it can last much longer. It becomes a skin scent fairly quickly. No issue with the scent at all. This is one of those fragrances where you accept the performance because the smell is just too good. Very clean, very smooth, very classy. For me it feels like how a perfect clean scent should be. I’d recommend it if you appreciate purity and classic style. Perfect for daytime, especially in heat. You’ll need to reapply, but it’s worth it. Spray freely, it won’t overwhelm. This has surpassed all my high expectations. It's extremely beautiful, especially for a cologne. The florals are absolutely amazing, and the citruses are not overwhelming like in other colognes. It's the first citrus-based fragrance that projects mostly florals, from all that I've tested. The florals do make it slightly feminine, so this is not the cologne that you'd want to pair with a leather jacket. The only two drawbacks are the weak performance and the price. Despite this, I will definitely add this to my collection. It's absolutely beautiful. I usually take into account performance when I rate fragrances, but this one still gets a 10/10 simply because the smell is from a completely different league. later note: in time it got a rating of 11/10 (yes, eleven out of ten), right up there with the only other fragrance that really rocked my world (or nose) - LV Imagination. What's funny is that even though I got a bottle at a discount, it's still my most expensive purchase.

This fragrance is absolutely amazing. The performance is not that good (it is discreet and does not last a very long time) but the smell is incredibly refined and luxurious. If you plan to smell like a billion dollars in a quiet luxury way for 2-3 hours, this is the scent for you.

Sampled it today it comes in a 180 ml bottle . very expensive for a skin scent !But a gorgeous skin scent made of beautiful ingredients especially the Damascus rose. Suitable for collectors of luxury perfumes not afraid of Paying extra $ :)

What a joy to wear. Incredibly beautiful. I'm not in any sense a violet lover but this is THE perfect use of it. Whoever the perfumer/creator is, they did an unbelievable job.

Unbelievable green, claylike, creamy citrus floral aromatic. Like nothing else I've smelled. Sample it if you can. Period.

I find this surprisingly good! It’s a simple clean classic thats perfect for spring and summer, but can be worn year round if you want .Definitely a daytime scent, but there’s really no rule against wearing a fresh scent at night. This is a crisp cotton button down and jeans minimalistic scent. Classic as a linen set in summer. My taste in perfume runs the gamut and I’m no loyalist to any particular profile—I like what I like—but dare I say this is refreshing in a sea of heady gourmand sensory overload? I say that as someone who is a fan of gourmands, but fresh classics always feel like coming up for fresh air. I purchased a .12 oz travel size dabber, but I think I’m going to purchase a full size as well. Update: My husband loves it, too, so I gave him my dabber :)

This is a curious one. It's a fresh, citrusy perfume...but it doesn't smell like any other 'fresh, citrusy' perfume. That bergamot & violet combo really does its own thing, and it's hard to describe. It's fresh and citrusy, but not sweet. It's got a little green in it, but no zing. It has a certain...juiciness to it, but it's not 'delicious'. It's like lemon sherbert, but without the sweetness. I like it, but don't love it. I'd say it leans more on the masculine side of things, as it does have a 'cologne' vibe to it - even if the cologne has a serious twist. Longevity and projection are above average for a fresh-citrusy fragrance, though - solidly moderate.

I really like this scent. It's citrusy but with a nice dose of petit grain and fresh green something that gives it a typical barbershop freshie scent, but with it's own twist. For Acqua Di Parma, it lasts quite enough on your skin (skin scent from the first minute though, so quite intimate). I'd say about 4-8 hours depends on the application. On clothes, it lasts more, even overnight, but it's even subtler. Not my favourite, but definitely office safe and quite gentleman-y, though it's perfectly unisex! Only, so expensive for something that is not "new" per se, and without sillage and projection... I won't buy again.

Reminds me of the Fierce DNA. Not as jagged and more mature though. Will give it a few wearings on skin and report back.

Similar to the original Colonia, but greener, wetter, and much more bitter. A combo of the Original Colonia, Declaration L'eau, and Eau Tres Fraiche with any sweetness or citrus masked by heavy wood and green notes. Can be off-putting to many at first spray...comes out swinging strong. Citrus is bitter and not sweet. It does smell expensive, vintage, and is well blended, but definitely not for everyone. Mature wearers only...very sophisticated scent that would be worn by European royalty of the 1400's. I would never buy a full bottle though as the lack of performance and versatility do not justify the steep price. Lasts between 4-5 hours.

What a special line this is. As a long-time admirer of citrus-forward fragrances, Note di Colonia I absolutely blew me away—not just with the quality of its ingredients, but with the distinct character of its scent profile. If I could assign a color to this fragrance, it would be a bright, sunlit yellow—illuminated with unexpected purple accents. The violet note becomes especially prominent in the drydown, where it turns deeply powdery and elegant. That soft, powdery violet is probably my favorite facet of this scent. Interestingly, I don’t really detect much rose or neroli, and in this case, that absence is for the better. The composition feels refined and cohesive without veering too much into floral overload. Despite being in a cologne concentration, the performance is remarkable: strong projection paired with excellent longevity. The presentation is a separate topic. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous, with an understated classicism that speaks to its high-end positioning within the Acqua di Parma family. The cap, crafted with a specific artisanal technique exclusive to this line, is a nice detail worth learning more about on their website. I’m so thrilled to have a generous 150ml bottle in my collection. For the past couple of years, this has stood out as my favorite citrus-based fragrance. I’m definitely planning to explore more from the Note di Colonia series. And let’s be honest, retail prices for this line are outrageous , and in my opinion, not quite justified at full MSRP. Fortunately, these day they’re relatively easy to find through reputable discounters—and that’s exactly how I picked mine up. Overall Note di Colonia I is more than just a beautiful citrus—it’s a refined, powdery statement with a nostalgic, elegant soul. If you’re a fan of high-quality citrus compositions with a unique twist, this one deserves a spot on your radar.

FIRST SNIFF: I was introduced to this part of the line by the ADP SA who was tending the perfume bar downstairs at the Houston Neiman's store. She laid out the three scents in this grouping and had me smell each in order. I was informed prior to smelling them that each one is stronger and more full bodied than the last. So the first in the series would be the lightest and most understated. Im immediately reminded of an old school cologne scent. A splash-on, aquatic, citrus, Lime-Lavender-rose combo that tends toward a soap scent in the dry down. It turns out that it has outstanding longevity and wears very nicely, but it's not unique by any means. Just really well made. THE PICTURE IT PAINTS: For me I imagine this being the splash on cologne I find in the bathroom of my rented Italian villa. The kind of place that would cost $1000+ per night, so it's reasonably likely that a decent cologne would be on hand. I splash it on after my morning outdoor shower and feel refreshed, and sparkling clean. Anyone who smells this on me day or night will believe I am freshly showered because of the soap undertone it exudes. IN THE BRAND FAMILY: Because the bottle is Lalique and it is so limited it may be worthy of a collector's cabinet. Or for the bathroom of your ultra expensive AIRBNB -- But if you are a niche lover this is not the star of the line. Niche lovers should reach for the dark brown colored ADP bottles. Full Bottle worthy? - NO Sample worthy? - NO PARTING THOUGHTS: It's like an unbelievably well-made TV cabinet. The wood is expensive, rare and perfect, the craftsmanship is masterful with tedious attention to detail and the end product is awe inspiring, but the utility and need for such a piece, nill. A very nice soapy, citrus cologne though.... A little goes a loooong way.

Note I opens up with a vibrant combination of citrus, botanicals, and a sweet musk—imbued by floral constitutes that give a modern feel to what is distinctly an Old World essence. The oversoul enlivens of Acqua di Parma Colonia spirit—immortalizing ancient aromatic aspects, and bringing them back to life in the modern era. It effortlessly captures the best of both worlds—between historic and modern time. I have to totally agree with those who have said, "This is unique and will turn heads". It certainly should have that effect. I find this much more stylish and enjoyable than the original Colonia. It caught my attention from the moment I sprayed it on. I was a bit seized by the Old World element, but it's done with such style, I couldn't help but to feel satisfied. The fragrance is a touch simple by design, but certainly isn't understimulating, and I don't get bored of it either. It's very radiant in the heat, and the only shortcoming is that it seems to dissipate a sooner than it should for the level of quality that is promised by this line. By far the most honorable entry in the Note di Colonia line.

Note di Colonia I is simply genius! All those who look at the pyramid and think oh it’s just the bergamot-neroli-violet-rose combo should think again. This little, seemingly banal cologne has been constructed with such finesse that it’s truly mind blowing. The citrus is very “noble” and well behaved, never right in your face, seamlessly bonding with the violet leaf, lavender and rose. But there is much more than that going on in there, which has not been officially disclosed in the pyramid. I have tried very hard to figure out what is that note or rather an accord, that is discernible from the first whiff and undergoes a magnificent transformation into the dry down with a slightly “fruity “hue that makes this fragrance so unique and sophisticated, but I have to give up and admit I have no clue what it is, but it is divine. Then, there is that obscene price tag attached to it.... I do own some expensive fragrances, but this is on the edge of insanity to me, so I have to pass on that one, unless I can get it at least 30% cheaper one day somewhere.

A modern remake of the original Colonia from 1916, made with raw materials of the highest quality. It opens with a gorgeous citrus blast similar to the original. But here, violet replaces rose in the heart, and the patchouli is more prominent in the base. Smells unique, unisex and expensive. I imagine it was formulated on a cost-no-object basis, as something at this price point should be. The perfect homage by Acqua di Parma to their iconic eau de cologne.

This is incredibly classic, classy EdC! It’s timeless and the quality of the ingredients shines through, which imho justifies the high price. My only comment though is that it is not that similar to the OG Colonia, so those expecting that might be disappointed. But for a very elegant, well constructed, cologne, it stands out...

I'm waiting now the duplicate from GenericPerfumes! Attar oil cost one of the tenth of the original, but they've never sofar got wrong! Soooo good interpretation of all these "design fragrances"! Yes, 50ml at 50$ bug, swell that!

Not sure what the people before me are talking about. This scent is very unique and will turn heads. Citrus top notes never stick to me and this one does, that makes it worth every penny imo.
