Note Di Colonia V

My goodness, this is quite wonderful. I have a pretty full range of great AdP fragrances (big fan) but this is a level up. Ordered it as an indulgence (which it is) and it just about justifies the headline price: an apparently simple scent that develops and lingers due to the very high quality of ingredients - you want to keep sniffing where it has been sprayed! I had a sample before buying the full bottle, but have to say that that the sample did not do justice to the fullness of this scent. Juniper, ginger and cedar are all there alongside the citrus, all in a very rounded way. There is a wonderful powdery-ness as it dries down, as others have noted. Unisex, tending towards feminine or at least a kind of softness. I have and continue to like Note I - however Note V is my new favourite.

Je porte ce parfum en rédigeant ce commentaire, j'obtiens un superbe odeur d'agrumes de gingembre à l'ouverture, et oui le gingembre vient assez tôt je pense que cette note fais partie de l'ouverture, le parfum évolue légèrement à l'installation des notes de fond. ce parfum est doux léger et agréable, le sillage est modéré. Je suis le genre de personne qui aime les parfum avec un fort sillage mais celui malgré sa douceur est le meilleur parfum de ma collection, j'ai utilisé plus d'une centaine de parfum en ce moment j'en ai une cinquantaine dans ma collection. ce parfum est d'une beauté difficilement descriptible: pour ceux que ça intéresse j'en ai fais une review complète sur ma chaine youtube en français "Billo LY"

From a 0,7ml sample: Smells like zesty lemon/ sweet lemon dessert. Overpowering lemon in the top note, but slowly settles to lighter woody note.I am picking up hints of seasalt or aquatic notes (?). Still a very refined and masculine scent given the frutiness. Very nice very Italian, very organic and very simple, but given it being simple, it might be better to look for similar and cheaper alternatives, since this one is $500 (!!)

This fragrance is really super nice. Clean, fresh, long lasting with a strong clean natural citrus opening and a really warm and inviting ginger beating heart with woody underpinnings. It's not revolutionary, it's not unique, but it is expertly blended with the highest quality of raw materials leading to an exceptional scent that just exudes class. This is peak citrus ADP. A real treat.

Wearing again this evening reminds me how quite wonderful this fragrance is - the intrinsic quality of the ingredients gives it such a luminous shine. Still my #1 from AdP. Though at the price point I sadly have to ration its use...

The most beautiful citrus scent ever. This is what Afternoon Swim wishes it could be. Because performance is bad, and the price is insane I can only give it a 9/10 though :(

This fragrance has the brightest citrus opening I have ever experienced. Ginger + bergamot can never go wrong in my eyes.

It's a nice and refreshing cologne heavier on pink pepper, juniper and citrus-ginger. If I smelled blindly I would think this was an Ormonde Jayne fragrance, it has that kind of transparent woodiness and iso-e-super feeling. If I just review the smell, it's OK, inoffensive, quite safe and natural, but, BUT The price point here is unexplainable. I really wonder who buys it. 450 euros a bottle it's unbelieavable.

WOAH that is strong! i nearly coughed my lungs out after one spray on my arm. Christmas Trees and Clementines, pine and citrus. Its way too strong for me, but you could easily spray this on a plastic christmas tree and fool everyone in the room. my dads gonna loove this, not an offensive smell at all, very "gourmand" in a pine forest type of way.

Very nice fresh scent. But the price is absurd. There are similar ones at much lover price.

High quality, conservative, soft citrus scent that lasts for a couple hours before it's almost completely a skin scent. The fragrance doesn't shout and isn't loud. I find it rather linear. I picture the person who wears this scent already knows their worth and doesn't have to brag or prove anything. They're confident and have self respect. I feel it's for good honest people. Very uplifting, bright, clean, happy. Even with 25% off at Bergdorf Goodman my huge bottle costs $420 with the discount. I don't mind respraying throughout the day as this is one of my favorite new fragrances. It's so pure and features nothing synthetic. Beautiful bottle design as well. I would say this performs similar to Creed Virgin Island Water on my skin. Smells fantastic the first couple hours then it's gone. Again, I picture a clean-cut, well groomed, classy guy in Dockers in their 30's - 50's rocking this scent. By the way, I hate Blue de Chanel and this smells nothing like it to my nose. Fragrance is very subjective obviously. This fragrance is balanced in between casual and formal and is not feminine. I've tried hundreds of fragrances and currently this is in my top 3. Pure joy to wear and blended beautifully as previously mentioned. The secret is in its simplicity and quality. A perfect fragrance for the simple man who likes the finer things in life. Highly recommended.

Soft, powdery, clean, citrus and slightly spicy opening that is very feminine. The only slight sharpness comes from the pepper and juniper. The ginger also adds a slight edge and the soft cedar and creamy sandalwood creates a nice warm base to it all. It’s really interesting and incredibly natural but the juniper is not really a note that I like on my skin. The entire composition to me forms a very melon kind of scent in the middle, kind of like cantaloupe or honeydew. The final dry down becomes more abrasive as the citruses wear off and your left with a juniper and pepper ambroxan kind of smell. There’s nothing masculine about Note V so I think this works better for women. It’s probably likable to most people but not something I would buy for myself. If you don't like juniper you won't like this one. It's also a very light skin scent with very little sillage or longevity.

Nice and tender, emphasizing. Sophisticated deliciousness. Very round, almost oval. Get mostly the juniper and cedar after drydown and the cedar is really good. Reminds me a little about Blue de Chanel parfume. It feels deep, like there is more layers to uncover. I’m intrigued to continue this journey but it will take some time because it’s not my everyday scent. This is more of a scent I want to wear when I’m on to something special. If the scent was a moment I would say it’s when you wear a casual yet slightly formal suit in the pause between acts on the opera drinking that fine champagne together with people you care about. Long lasting but soft all the way. It’s gentle but it’s enough because the scent doesn’t fit as a sillage beast. You can put your trust in someone who wears this. It’s masculine, but women can pull this off.

It is an edc and feels like it, but it acts as an edt regarding projection and longevity, almost moderate and very nice, gingery citrusy fresh a bit woody elegant and easy, I tried 4 of them till now, nothing new or ground breaking, familiar nice scents, feels like the old days perfumes brought to future and gets a twist of modrenization. quality is there, Acqua di parma style.

The best smelling citrus i’ve tested so far? Without doubt. Pure class in a bottle for someone who’s not shy on the trigger and don’t mind soft projection. Nothing new just opulent freshness without any synthetics or sharp edges. Thank you Aqua Di Parma!

With that Juniper noted in it, does it have any similarities with the discontinued Ginepro di Sardegna with? If so, pls, pls let me informed! By the way, earlier fragrances on this "notes" line are marvelous, the "1" is my favorite so far!

Yes, the ginger is quite realistic. Probably an essential oil. But for its price, I see this fragrance as quite generic.
