Just tried this in John Lewis on Oxford Street (London) 20 minutes ago, and my first impressions are that it's very nice indeed. It could well be the unisex floral fragrance I’ve been looking for. I’ve been hunting high and low through feminine white florals and the floral end of male fragrance, with limited results. I've just got bored of all the same old notes of so-called 'male' fragrance but I'm still limited by my own preconceptions and olfactory expectations so am reluctant to bite the bullet and wear J'Adore, for example. Anyway, Sakura...The combined floral notes of the cherry blossom and the jasmine aren’t too overwhelming or overly feminine that would put men off. I think the musk might also keep it 'grounded'. It's not a big projector though, and I can't see it lasting ages either, but today is a very hot and sweaty day so I'm sure that might reduce both. I would very much like to try this again to double-check. I wouldn't have called this a 'citrus' fragrance though - it's a floral through and though. Just because it has some fleeting citrus in the opening does not a citrus make. The other observation is that it's quite linear - once the ubiquitous citruses are out the way anyway. I don't know whether this is a good or a bad thing. I do like the middle/end hybrid, but who knows what could have come?

Such a beautiful, bright floral perfume. It has just the right amount of sweetness. Sakura would be lovely in the spring and summer, as it’s light and airy. Sillage was moderate, garnering several compliments. It only lasted about 2 hours, which is its downfall, but I very much enjoyed wearing it during that time. I’m going to keep my eyes open for sales on this one.

It smells fantastic! One of my favorite scents for sure. It smells strongly of cherry blossom with notes of jasmine. It smells for a few hours, but no more than 6 hours. The sillage is moderate at first but become more intimate after an hour or two. Just like the Yuzu, I want to give it a perfect rating, but the longevity and sillage make it a 8/10 atmost.

This is very beautiful. I feel more on the feminine side. It is fresh floral and very subtle dry down is adorable! I have worn this out and its liner, very much a skin scent.

Lost Cherry by Tom Ford with less cherry and more flowers. More in the line of a classic feminie floral perfume . Good sillage and longevity. Beautiful light sweetness.

LANVIN ECLAT D’ARPEGE??? Very light, girly and innocent . Heavy bottle with black elements is very confusing. It should be yellow and pink with rhinestones :))

I absolutely adore this fragrance. I think this is what Japanese women would smell like. I love it.

I really enjoy this. Some cherry blossoms can skew too fruity and reminiscent of "body spray" and thus unsophisticated. This leans much more floral and "perfumey" and musk (the very clean variety) rounds it out and fortifies the other notes; that is, it doesn't overtake, rather it does a solid job as a base note. There is prominent bergamot too - a note I love - it lends an optimistic yet elegantly bright facet to this predominantly cherry blossom fragrance while the jasmine is subtly noticeable as it settles into the skin. It's very bright and uplifting with a definitive spring vibe, but it is neither a freshie not a fleeting floral: there is substance to it. However, like many of this range, it's neither a powerhouse nor does it stick around for more than a few hours (I wonder if it comes in travel spray form). While it's here though, it's lovely and makes for a perfect spring scent that I'd love wearing for lunch dates with friends or during daytime on a mini-break. 4/5.

What you expect from AdP is outstanding citrus opening and Sakura has that, with a watery, juicy, nearly green effect (I often associate with fig) but it's heavily perfumed with a dominant cherry blossom right from the get go, I actually didn't realise just how much so on first spritz, but then this is laden with fresh cherry blossom. Very nice just a bit femme and a little too 'norm' and reminscent of air fresheners for me. This speaks more to the skill and quality of air freshner formulation that it does about this being a poor fragrance because it isn't. There's Nothing wrong with a functional fragrance and the floral musk and jasmine sambac (which isn't particularly prominent) just add to what is a very pleasant and good quality, light, summer floral. I'm wearing it at the height of Autumn and it's bringing a little sunshine to an otherwise miserable day.

Despite being labelled an eau de parfum, this behaves more like a cologne. I sprayed myself very liberally (8 sprays), and the scent was barely detectable an hour later, not even on my clothing. This would probably work well for fans of Juliette Has A Gun or other popular 'skin scent' lines. The notes are pleasant enough, but the juice is not worth the price in my opinion. Cherry blossom and jasmine actually work quite well with citrus top notes and a musky base, but I have seen all of these notes done much, much better for way less money. It's not disappointing, but it's also not worth it.

I got a sample of this to test out. I haven't found many fragrances with cherry blossom and jasmine but I think I should from now on. It's a very soft, beautiful, delicate scent that reminds you of spring. Unfortunately I can't really smell it on myself after an hour which is disappointing. Very poor longevity and sillage. If anyone knows a similar perfume with better performance please message me! For something that is on the pricy side, this simply isn't worth it.

Excellent citrus opening that morphs into florals and grassy vetiver on my skin. The drydown I get a lot of cherry blossom. Very nice perfume, unisex and underatted IMO. Decent projection but longevity is the weak link. I would pick this up if I can find a tester for cheap. This and quercia are hidden gems in the Acqua di Parma signature line. Scent 7/10 Performance 4/10

Short but sweet (and floral). Only complaint is longevity, otherwise a great daily spring or summer wear. Simple notes blended beautifully to produce a delicate scent journey. Bright citrus opening followed quickly by a small dose of pepper before the Sakura shines through, supported by jasmine. Powdery mush joins the party after a couple hours. Heavenly.

Not bad. Kind of reminds me of one of the Monotheme fragrances. Monoi maybe? Very floral, like white petals. Lightly creamy/smooth, also like petals. But perfume and not that realistic. Lightly soapy and lightly powdery. Probably pleasant in a spring or summer day, but not very memorable and evocative. Would fit in well as a room spray. Not worth the price by any means.

Several users have mentioned weak longevity before me and unfortunately it's true. It's a nice fragrance, but if you can afford it, you should find somthing else to purchase. It's a cherry-blossom-nothing-out-of-the-ordinary-fragrance with a weak sillage and longevity - not worth the price tag.

Bubble Gum For the first 20 Minutes all I got was bubble gum, as if the fragrance had been meant for very young girls. After that the sweetness goes somehow away and we get the cherry blossom. It's a nice fragrance, but doesn't justify the price tag.

Definitely more masculine leaning. All I get hit with initially is pepper . I don't detect any citrus at all. Initially = a pepper bomb Dry down = very floral with pepper undertones The cherry blossom is strong in the dry down. Longevity is poor and siliage is almost non existent

It smells sharp and rotten fish

This is one of those fleeting glimpses of something that takes your breath away and your overriding impression of it is its memory and how it felt when it went away. The scent is one of the loveliest cherry blossom florals you'll ever find. The jasmine is at exactly the right strength so as to work alongside the cherry blossom accord but not to overwhelm it. Together they are this gorgeous floral olfactory sweep that draws you in. Top accords are bergamot and some mandarin but these are there to freshen and sweeten, not to distract from the central cherry blossom DNA. Base is a powdery musk that really only reveals itself for a short time after the citruses have faded out. You find yourself wondering if you can smell cherries in the juiciness of the fruit and the blossom. You can't but it sort of teases you that it is there. I've layered this over the top of Lost Cherry by Tom Ford and it is wonderful; it really takes it to another level but takes away some of the tenderness of the overall effect. As it is, cherry blossom, jasmine, citrus accords and musk are all quite short-lived accords so it is little surprise that this is not a long-lasting fragrance, but this shouldn't limit your use of it as the 75ml bottles are sturdy enough to carry in your bag to top up as needed. I get three to four hours off this before it is a skin scent, but it is a gorgeous skin scent as it retreats away all you can smell is the musk and the cherry; powdery but not sickly. It does last longer if you spray more of it in one spot for a higher concentration, I find. It does lean feminine but I love having this one in the collection because pretty florals on a big, ugly, tattooed, bald, bearded guy like me are something I love to play around with and this is one of the nicest florals I've found and it suits me well. I have to be in the mood for it but I love the effect of wearing endless ouds, leathers and heavy citrus freshies to work and then rocking up in this for no reason at all. It isn't like anything else I own really and I love that. It is quite a Japanese thing to have a fragrance with only a few accords in it, with everything there to make a central accord the best it can be. There is a beauty in assembling these things in such an artistic way that longevity doesnt matter. That its fleeting nature is part of its fragile beauty, much like the cherry blossom this fragrance is designed around. I actually think having beast mode 12 hour performance on a fragrance like this wouldnt work, because it isnt true to what the theme is or what the accords are. Last week at an airport, right after purchasing Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt, I smelled Sakura Eau de Parfum and instantly fell in love. I am not usually very into floral fragrances but this triggered something in my memory... it felt like home. It is a very comforting scent and very unisex in my opinion. The bergamot and mandarin blend beautifully with the cherry blossom, and don't even get me started with the musk. I found it irresistible. After my initial purchase at Jo Malone, I was given a 15% discount in any other product I wanted so I didn't think twice and bought Sakura. I've been wearing both together every day and truly feel more myself than with any other fragrance I've owned. I've read some people say it doesn't last very long on them and for me this is not the case. It is definitely not a beast projector, but it stays on my skin all day. It leaves a nice trail as well, very inoffensive but will have people following you. 3 people at my office complimented me and my dad who is usually into very masculine fragrances said I smelled amazing. I look forward to spritzing myself with this masterpiece every morning.

This smells soap which doesn't sound all that great but I really enjoyed sampling it. Clean, fresh, light floral. Am I making it sound boring? It isn't boring but it is inoffensive. The cherry blossom does come through especially amid the top notes though it doesn't fully stand out from the soapy background. It's true that it doesn't project nor does it last long but then again, these kinds of scents never do. I might get another sample and come back to this review, I can't get over that opening but I don't see myself purchasing a full size simply because I'm not in love. It's really, really pleasant but I don't see this being the star of anyone's collection. This is the perfume always a bridesmaid, never the bride.

This is... lovely? It’s not what I expected, which was something very sweet and floral. The musk is surprisingly a major player here, and I think the way the citruses mingle with it creates this almost wet mineral accord. Ultimately it smells like I’m walking thru a cherry blossom garden on a stone path after a light summer rain. This isn’t an attention grabber. This isn’t something you wear to make a statement. This is something you wear when you want to feel a certain way. There’s an air of contentment in Sakura. It just is.

A nice and indistinct floralcy hovering over clean white musk. It doesn't exactly evoke "pink" or sakura, but still pretty close to the idea of pastel color and purity. It smells like green soapy neroli (jasmine sambac and other "clean white flower" chemicals) with a hint of powdered lilac.

While it is a floral fragrance, it's not a dreamy, lyrical Jo Malone type floral. It can confidently be worn by both sexes mostly because of the jasmine and musky kick. Elegantly achieved in the ADP tradition.

Beginning is really refreshing, citrus-flowery, but then it takes unexpected turn: feminine, musky, a bit retro. I got whiffs from Obsession, female fragrance. It is targeted more for female audience.

I just realized I love cherry blossom! Will have to explore this note more, it's a dewy fresh spring floral, citrussy a bit, sweet, but really fresh. Something I would love in the springtime.

An Italian scooper going down the road, the wind blows in your face. Pros: Sakura flowers note recreated in a soft way and a little Citrus. Two thumbs up.
