Vaniglia Eau de Parfum

3 words: Classic, sensual, cosy, it also has so much depth, is enveloping and sophisticated in a comforting way. So, I went to the department store and perfume shop and sampled lots of fragrances on blotter cards, this and carner (tardes/ rockstar) Jacques fath (curaçao bay) aerin (hisbiscus palm) plus lots of others bronze goddess fraiche, solar and intense, Chloe love story, idole and more. 20 + fragrances. Wanted more but you know it was starting to get awkward in there ;) ANYWAY, I kept all the samples, obsessively whiffing and sniffing several times throughout the last two days and getting rid of some that faded and I’m down to my last 5 favourites. I was going to write vaniglia off as it seemed just so so when I first sprayed, BUT I held on. This develops into something smouldering and deep and delicious. It’s intoxicating, wow I am genuinely surprised because the more I smell the more I like. This is a keeper I just know. It doesn’t aggravate the sinuses or have any shrill high pitched notes that creep up on you. It delivers. It smoothly and deeply caresses you with a pure but slightly dark sensuous experience. This is a truly good fragrance. Very enveloping, my opinion changed not just slightly but dramatically. This requires time to show its best true colours. I feel they must have used very expensive ingredients because out of all of my testers this one still feels like it hasn’t reached its peak, it’s not fading and feels like it’s still going after two days. The only other fragrance which has developed into something more and has clarity of smell (and I like more too than when I sprayed it, it actually made me feel a bit sick for the first day) is hisbiscus palm. I can now see why people like it. The carner ones and curaçao bay are just starting to fade but held out well. Hisbiscus palm and vaniglia have been well curated and feel like solid complete fragrances that stand the test of time. I have decided to purchase vaniglia and the other 4 in due course. If you like vanilla I really think you can’t go wrong with this, I am so impressed with the luxurious, heavenly and expensive fragrance. It feels like pure unadulterated luxury. It has a lot of depth. I can detect the floral notes and less so the citrus and they add more height and range to the vanilla essence of this fragrance but it’s just so well blended. I can picture a classy woman, in cashmere who has style. Early autumn 🍂 time and winter this is most suited too but could layer this other times to increase longevity of other perfumes. Edit: I went onto their website to check for ingredient list, it contains BHT, which is dangerous and I emailed them (I know this is to help maintain integrity and preserve the fragrance) and got a long email response which was like a politician evading the direct question I asked. So not helpful. They surely must be able to use a more natural preservative. It made me not buy this beautiful scent after all. Such a shame.

God, this is good! An instant love for me 😍 Woody heliotrope vanilla heaven, with a twist of sitrus! A great unisex scent IMO. The opening is more on the masculine side and the drydown leans a bit more feminine. It's quite heavy on the heliotrope, but pulls it off without smelling dated or cloying. My sister douses herself in manifesto from time to time and I didn't think of them as similar, but will certainly have to test them side by side. Vaniglia is very well balanced and the perfect vanilla for me: a bit quirky, not too sweet but still creamy and delicious! Yum! Performance: not sure what to think yet. Usually I can smell a perfume on myself very well, but I think my nose gets used to this. My sister said I smelled great when I had just applied it, a few hours later she had to get really close to smell it, but all of a suddon she said "Oh, I just smelled your perfume! You applied it again!". I hadn't, I had just walked past her, so I guess it doesn't project much except the first hour, but sillage may be better. Seems to last great on clothes.

Very surprised about this one.It doesn't really shout out AdP DNA, and I don't know why it's so under appreciated. I think this fragrance is gorgeous, definitely feminine leaning, but it's gorgeous, tillage and projection are nice and soft. Longevity is a little better than usual you would expect from AdP. To me this is probably my most versatile Fragrance, office, gym, out for a meal, out for a walk, I really can't think of it being out of place in any situation. It is a Vanilla leading frag, but very nice and soft, and just so delightful and as someone else stated; very comforting. I tried Camelia and did not particularly like, I also own Ou from the same family, love it equally, except this one is most definitely feminine leaning. It's one of the very few frags that I *will* buy again when this bottle is finished. I'm tempted to try another one out of this family, but I think the black bottles in this collection appear to be as the bottle indicates slightly darker.

I've been wearing it for a week in cooler fall weather and it has become a clear 'love' for me. The opening is slightly sweet leaning but still quite natural vanilla which in the drydown settles down onto the most cozy fluffy powdery base. Throughout wear I get short soft soapy whiffs - think 5-star hotel soap - as well. This just makes you smell like someone who only bathes and slathers themselves in the most lux body care products. On me it's really the vanilla, the heliotrope and the musk that play off each other in the most beautiful comforting and classy way. Since the days have been getting colder I find myself reaching for it almost daily. Sillage depends on how much you spray. With three sprays I get about an arm's length, which is my personally preferred range. As for longevity, it last throughout the day on me, on my clothes until I next wash them. Solid no-nonsense well-blended and completely unisex pick for the colder months.

I am not an acqua di parma fan. However i have tried this fragance and i love It. I dont know if It really worths the price or if maybe It can be a bit too soft for the money It costs but i know It has a great smell and i know that i could feel It for at least 4-5 hours perfectly and then very close to the skin for 6-8 hours. It is a very soft vanilla, a bit like the plástico dolls smell, delicate and perfect for daytime use. Although It is vanilla i think is elegant and weareable un any situación, even in the formal ones. It is true that the most importante notes are heliotropo, vanilla and neroli. The BEST AdP i have tried till the moment... Scent: 9.5 Longevity: 7.5 Sillage: 6 Quality/price: 5 Versatility: 9 Originality: 6 Global: 9

This fragrances starts with a neroli infused with natural smelling non sweet vanilla. As this fragrance dries down the heliotrope makes the vanilla denser an denser somewhat like a suncream (not suncream smelling) but so natural. It smells just dense and warm, like vanilla pudding but natural. This is just Unisex because it lacks both the harshness you usually meet in a man fragrance and the sweetness you have in a female fragrance. If you are a male and wearing this people will think it's a men's fragrance, if you are a woman they'll think it's a women's fragrance. There is nothing synthetic about this fragrance. I don't want to say it's either good or bad, because everyone has his tastes, you'll be the one to decide.

Vaniglia by Acqua di Parma was love a first sniff! Not your usual gourmand vanilla. This starts with a fresh blast of neroli, bergamot and heliotrope, plus vanilla, which is always present (I can't smell the mandarin). The heliotrope gives Vaniglia a cool vibe, making it different from other vanillas. During the dry down, cedar and musk become present, but the vanilla and heliotrope continue their presence, and the scent become slightly powdery. Vaniglia has great longevity on my skin, more than 7 h and radiates moderately. This is very well blended and makes a great office scent. Elegant, classy, well balanced, high quality vanilla scent. Unisex. This is very good!

Love this. The opening is quite woody; the vanilla notes begin surfacing little by little after a few minutes. It's not pure vanilla, of course; there's something slightly floral about this. Anyway, this is a very intimate, cozy, gourmand scent; it just irradiates comfort for me. Like an artesanal vanilla muffin that just came out of the oven. Projection is nothing to write home about; it works inside your personal space for the most part. Longevity is a good 7-8 hours. It's a unisex fragrance for me, maybe leaning a bit more toward the feminine side. Great for the colder days or nights that you want to spend cuddling with your partner.

This is really nice but very expensive, almost prohibitively so. It's a green, powdery vanilla that's sweet but not overly so and not cloying at all like some vanillas can be. I actually thought this was too mature for me at first (my boyfriend said it smelled like something his mum would wear) but I don't think that anymore, it's classy and chic and I feel very grown up wearing it. Unfortuunately, as mentioned, it also has a very grown up price tag attached to it so would only buy if I got a great deal on it.

This is not what you expect from the name of it! This perfume is a fresh neroli-heliotrope-white musk scent on a vanilla base. After 3 hours the dry down gets a bit sweeter. Longevity is great, sillage is awesome for the first hour, then it gradually softens to become a skin scent eventually. Borderline gourmand but not quite. On the fresher sweeter side but definitely not cloying. I pair it with YSL Magnificent Gold, to tone down the oud in MG and make it wearable for summertime.

This. This is a surprise. The heliotrope is soooooo Good. It’s very forward in the opening. Then the neroli.THEN the jasmine and vanilla. The dry down adds some mandarin, but not too much this is not incredibly citrusy like most ADP fragrances. I’m still getting the heliotrope throughout! It doesn’t have great longevity but I overspray because I love it. I spray it on my cashmere sweaters and scarves and it lasts forever! I would love this on a man. I feel this is truly unisex.

This fragrance smells like warm vanilla in the best way possible. Whenever you go, it’ll smell like a vanilla cookie fresh out of the oven. Smells forever (I can sometimes still smell it when I shower the next day) and it is strong enough to perfume the whole room or car during the first few hours of wearing it. The only time wearing it is bad is during a hot summer day because it might give you a headache, but it is perfect for every other time! It's a solid 9/10 from me!

simply for vanilla lovers, I have tried quite a few from this House but most suffer from longevity issues. this is better. i am not sure on the price tag but if you love Vanilla, musk, heliotrope and jasmine, you should try it. smells heavenly on ladies. cozy and personal, intimate sessions this will be a win, i LOIKE ;) 8.5/10 ps. if you love this and want a beast.. get mancera Holidays. tom ford soleil blanc is similar too

This was an instant full bottle worthy purchase for me. That initial blast of Mediterranean freshness contrasted with the marzipan-like sweetness of the heliotrope that gently melts into a creamy, slightly green, jasmine and raw vanilla extract. Exquisite to say the least. Uncommon opinion which I haven’t seen shared anywhere, but this is like the original Joop! Homme all grown up, clean shaven, and understatedly dashing.

The Shop assistant describe it as a "bitter vanilla" and I agree with him. What a balanced combination!!! The whole line it's wonderful, I couldn't choose, fortunately for me it's far off what I'll pay for fragrances :) For me, it's all unisex. If you like it, wear it, I say!!! Boys, I know for you it's difficult, but you can look at it, this way: you wanna attract women? Smell of what women like

Intense heliotrope vanilla centered scent, I know it is not in the notes pyramid according to Fragrantica, but I smell leather and benzoin in this. Actually this makes me think of a niche type of Shalimar.. Unisex. Very sexy. Projection is ok in the first 2-3 hours then it becomes a skin scent. Perfect for night dates..

A gorgeous blend of heliotrope and vanilla. My first impression was that it was boring and plain, but getting to know it more the beauty of it emerged. Very clean, a bit powdery and light. Maybe a tiny bit soapy, I don't know how to describe it properly.

The best vanilla scent in the world! It's not just plain vanilla, it’s a wonderfully complex, sweet delight. Does anyone know where I can repurchase this? I bought it on holiday in Italy, but I can't find it anywhere since.

alt note: decant, again. vanilla soap that you wanted to eat as a kid. i like it but it didn't intrigue me that much. update: went fom a like to a love because of the heliotrope. whoa. melancholic powder. actually so cute.

Soapy deep vanilla, it is very nice.. it is a lot heavier than eau duelle for instance, more powdery. In regards to vanilla fragrances, eau duelle is still the winner in my opinion. That aside, this a great fragrance!

I find this fresh, sweet (Not cloying) and very wearable. The bergamot note is far stronger than I expected, but in a good way. This is a skin close scent, lovely, just lovely!

Vaniglia could easily be renamed "Vaniglia & Friends", don't go in expecting a pure vanilla scent and you won't be disappointed. This smells like a delicious, moderately dense sunny vanilla cloud. ☀️☁️ There's a lot more than just vanilla contributing here, but the overall scent smells oh-so good. There's a mildly soapy quality to this which gives it kind of a "balmy" vibe, as if you were using a luxurious hand cream. I'm willing to overlook this as the smell is so good. Vaniglia is blended to perfection and makes its presence known in a classy way, if there's one thing Acqua Di Parma excels at it's giving fragrances that calm, assertive presence instead of being desperate and trying to fill the room. This is my ideal volume for a fragrance. Vaniglia is a fragrance that delivers and offers no surprises, honestly a 20-30ml bottle of this would be more than enough, 100ml, let alone 180ml of this would bathe you in it for the rest of your life. And while it smells good, it's not a very practical fragrance to wear. Discontinued or not, I don't think I'd shell out the big euros for a bottle. All that said, Vaniglia is definitely worth sampling. ☀️

Like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille that I tested recently, Vaniglia is a really good unisex vanilla-dominant scent. It is more subtle and wearable with more mass appeal than TV, but it still is an intriguing, creatively composed scent. Vaniglia is vanilla-dominant throughout, as the name suggests. The vanilla is deliciously dry and powdery. It opens with citrus-tinged vanilla, mostly thanks to the neroli. Heliotrope adds a hazy, almond-like undertone, but this scent is not a gourmand, despite the tendencies here. It becomes more floral as it develops, with jasmine rounding out the vanilla. It is more powdery here and a little bit sweet. Woody notes creep in as it dries down, providing the dry, powdery vanilla with a beautiful warm counterpoint. It fades to a powdery skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. Vaniglia is a high-quality, subtle unisex vanilla scent, dusty and powdery with just the right amount of sweetness. Cosy yet elegant, it is really satisfying to wear. Ideal for cold days. 4/5.

I received this today in my scent mail. Initially I was a tad disappointed. I think in my mind it was going to be THE perfect citrus gourmand, balanced lemon and vanilla notes. It is nothing like that, on me. Initially I get cloves, sa LOT of cloves, slight cinnamon notes, and dry woody cedar, with just a touch of orange. Not being a huge fan of cedar or strong cloves and cinnamon, this did not please me. However, on me this comes into it's own in the dry down. The spices soften and become a clove/vanillic 'dry' scent (this may have heliotrope, but I do not get a lot of sweetness or powdery notes - they are there, but not overwhelming), with an orange citrus layer floating along side. Not a beast mode scent, but nor is it a shrinking violet. Considering my skin eats most things extremely quickly, the longevity was pretty good. If I had to pick an image to describe this I would say 'orange spiced Christmassy baked goods fresh out of the oven'

This is a really great vanilla, that would do well in the warm weather. As the name would suggest, this is vanilla dominant, with noticeable neroli and heliotrope. The opening to me, comes across as a floral vanilla with slightly bitter neroli and citrus. As it develops the neroli-citrus combo becomes less bitter, and IMO gives it a warm-weather/summery feel. I actually get a fairly hefty dose of neroli in this fragrance. As it dries down the heliotrope becomes more noticeable, contributing to a powdery effect. I also get something slightly sweet, borderline gourmand...akin to powdered sugar. While the name is indicative of the scent, I find the bottle a bit misleading. This is not a dark, heavy, woody vanilla. To me, it's a summery, floral, powdery, and slightly sugary vanilla. I really enjoy this a lot. As far as performance goes, this is great- it lasts ALL day. Is feminine IMO.

Excellent vanilla-centered fragrance. Smooth, soft, pleasant, cozy, warm, inviting... Just lovely. A little bit on the dry side with hint of woodiness. A bit sweet in a powdery way, but not cloying at all (like some sweet vanilla fragrances can be), and like another reviewer said this feels mature somehow. Somewhat floral and with a certain citrus vibe, but the floral and citrus notes are very well balanced against the vanilla so that the notes blend together beautifully and support the vanilla which is absolutely front and center. The vanilla makes it warm, while the florals and citrus keep it clean and fresh. It definitely leans feminine in my opinion - I think my mom would love this, actually - but a confident man could surely pull this off. I'm envisioning tanned skin in a light linen suit on a warm summer evening in southern Europe...

Smelled this a few times in the store before I purchased a bottle. This has vanilin extracted from cloves which is also found in vanilla, so it's very similar if not identical to vanilla. I pick up neroli, vanilla, jasmine, musk, cedar & big dose of hedione. I get citruses only in the opening minutes. Performance is good and scent is relaxing imo. Leans a very slightly feminine thanks to the jasmine which is not super pronounced, but it's there. Smells like if L'Artisan Parfumeur Traverse Bosphore and Tom Ford Santal Blush had a baby. It's also versatile enough to wear in the cold and heat because of the neroli and citruses. Fantastic execution. Sleeper from the house of ADP. Scent 7.5/10 Performance 7.5/10

I have tested this today at a shop and i would say it smells very very interesting, The hint of citrus at the beginning makes you wanna keep smelling it even more the vanilla is very well balanced not a vanilla driven fragrance but the vanilla and powder like smell is a very calm and warm smell, I'd say I would wear this every season expect summer days maybe summer nights if the weather is cool enough, the only downside is the price of this fragrance, I don't think I would pay 9500 EGP for this one if the price was down a little bit I would consider buying it.

Initial blast smells like classic vintage perfume. Dad said, I smell like my great grandma’s closet. I told him, she must have been one classy lady. Then, I got waxy old lipstick note that I didn’t expect as iris is not listed in the scent pyramid. Jasmine blooms shortly after, unfortunately it has that banana note I usually get from white florals. I sometimes like that but not today. I feel like it ruined the vintage classy vibe I was enjoying and turned the perfume into just another generic white floral direction.

I like heliotrope. I think Chanel Comete is a modern masterpiece. I see citrus and vanilla and I think it's gonna be like Xerjoff Uden and Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Those are sweeter than this, but this is by no means a bad fragrance. I will likely wear it in the rotation. The cedar really throws this one for a loop tbh. If I were top say this smells like anything you may know. it's Comete, Edition Blanche and some cedar. 7.8/10. Much better on skin than on paper.

it is surprisingly fresh, or should I say: refreshing. The Bergamot, cedar and neroli are really there. But they do not hinder the vanilla, but they give it a refreshing aura and it turns a rather boring scent into a very interesting one -> because i never thought Vanilla could be so fresh. great job!

It's a whole vanilla perfume. The opening is a neroli infused with a roasted deep powdery vanilla. In the middle, the vanilla becomes sweet and unfortunately, the neroli leaves; but, the vanilla still powdery and deep. In the drydown the scent is less sweet. It's settled on a powdery woody vanilla.

A delicate triad of citrus, jasmine and heliotrope wrapped in a soft, dry, woody vanilla. It's not syrupy or cloying, the cedar and musk keep it balanced and sheer. Leans more feminine to my nose, mainly because it smells very similar to J'adore EDP.

A very well done quality Vanilla fragrance, some light supporting florals and that Aqcua Di Parma twang. Unisex. Classy, well done and not overpowering.

A cologne scent with a perfect vanilla pod touch. Very unisex. I truly like the warm edge the vanilla here gives to the classic clean, perfect cologne.

High quality vanilla with sunny citruses, ADP style. Smells unisex to my nose. Longevity is good on my skin.

A very nice change from the others in the brown AdP line (which I love most of) with a slightly gourmand vanilla touch. I am not a huge fan of the opening stages I think the jasmine pops a bit too much for me but the mid onwards to drydown this fades to leave a nice heliotrope and vanilla over the top of a musky clean base. Reminds me of a touch more masculine and less gourmand version of Profumum Roma's Meringa.

PSA: this does not smell like vanilla. at all. this smells like cedar and maybe musk and a lot of those big aroma chemicals used by brands like essentric molecules which make the whole fragrance smell like white noise (or in this case, drab gray/beige noise). so this is basically modern trendy niche perfumery in a nutshell and it’s not my thing. I’ve always been attracted to unisex/androgynous fragrances but this recent obsession with genderless scents have been leaving me cold. I appreciate the idea/effort but most of these are so devoid of character. they’re empty of any spirit or passion. just empty. PS literally nothing like YSL Manifesto.

Tested this black bottle today, it’s certainly strong enough but although I liked the sweet vanilla opening, this very soon morphed into a decidedly feminine scent. This is probably better suited to my 77 year old mother than me. It’s nice but it’s not for me. Other than Quercia, I’ve not really enjoyed any of the ADP releases over the last two years. They’re prolific alright, I’ll give them that.

A classic vanilla, not for me. This one has decent performance. All I get is powdery vanilla. It did get a bit lackluster after a while. Unisex leaning femme.

Strange, unique vanilla. I don't enjoy the opening, it smells like a classic old fashioned cologne. However, it changes, heliotrope and vanilla become the most prominent notes. Yummy warm vanilla powder, slightly bitter and woody. True unisex. Classy and expensive smelling vanilla. Professional setting or a special event. When you want to wear a vanilla fragrance that smells sophisticated and refreshing. Not the best performance, it is rather modest, but sometimes you want / need just that. It's great for spring and summer months, that cologne base is lovely, neroli and spice... No spice listed, but there's something spicy about it, a tiny amount of herbal spice. On their website they claim that the sweet essence of vanilla is extracted from the cloves. So that's what a spicy note is, cloves. Overall, it's an interesting scent, with a beautiful contrast of cold herbal citrus opening and a warm vanilla powdery drydown. Luckily, I don't get a lot of florals / jasmine, mostly bitter orange blossom. Yay!

A different, not Common vanilla. Vanilla is extracted from the pod of the plant of the same name, a climber that is part of the orchid family, making it the only one to produce an edible ingredient. Here we have it in its sweetness and not cloying roundness, initially accompanied by a splendid heliotrope and citrus fruits, which I feel prevail as an accompanying note, to finally meet a splendid jasmine that surronds it, thus making it very pleasant even for those who, like me, is not particularly lover of this note. An Aztec legend (who used it to flavor cocoa), narrates that vanilla was born from the blood of the goddess Princess Xanat, beheaded by her father who did not want to marry her off to a mortal. Passion , femininity , decisiveness : characteristics that I fully find in this fragrance . “Lady Agnew of Lochnaw” portrayed by John Singer.

An unprecedented fascinating interpretation of precious Madagascar Vanilla. The essence of vanilla acquires new depths, combining with notes of bergamot, mandarin, neroli and jasmine for a luminous and enveloping composition. Vaniglia is an oriental vanilla, woody, citrus, floral, powdery perfume. The scent opens sharp citrus and quickly heads towards a stunning vanilla with a slightly woody floral touch. In the end it becomes a predominantly vanilla/musky fragrance and sweet in measure. One of the best vanilla in the collection and with the best performance of the House of Representatives I've ever met with the usual quality; for those who like vanilla perfume: MANDATORY!

This perfume is delicious but unfortunately I would never buy it because of its poor performance on my skin. It has an opening with nuances of citrus cologne that gives way to a powdery vanilla with floral aspects of jasmine. It has a moderate-soft sillage and lasts on my skin for no more than 3 hours. Without being the same at all, if you fancy a perfume with vanilla with a cologne vibe at a good price and with better performance, I would recommend Per Hai from the Spanish firm Oveh Madrid. Smell 7.5/10 Duration 3/10 Sillage 4/10 Quality/price 3.5/10 Versatility 4/10 Packaging 7/10 Would I buy again? I did not buy it

This is reformulated and quite different from the brown bottle version, the new formulation is less feminine. The jasmine is significantly toned down and the vanilla note is a little less sweet as well. From AdP's website description the vanilla note here comes from clove extraction. Quite surprising to me that clove contains vanillin, anyway that's the secret of vanilla note not being very sweet but instead more woody here. Overall, it's a very pleasant and versatile fragrance with a unique fresh twist, just the way I imagine AdP's vanilla to be.
