Yuzu Eau de Parfum

This is beautiful. Feels like it's built similar to Sakura but with a fruity Yuzu instead of the cherry blossom. All three stages (open, mid, heart) are good. The soft florals are slightly sweet and smell so good I want to eat them. Yuzu is not the star player, I think lotus and mimosa are more prominent, followed by the licorice, jasmine, and sandalwood. Musk makes it slightly soapy. But, trust me when I tell you this....performance on this is BAD. Short longevity, and hardly any projection. So be prepared to refresh. Update: I got a giant 6oz bottle which is the only way to go with these low performance Acqua Di Parma fragrances (Bergamotto, Arancia, Chinoto and Yuzu); buy a huge bottle and spray the hell out of them and you will enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------- Scent 8/10 Performance 2/10

First impression: this is the kind of fragrance that you and your girlfriend can wear at the same time after a shower. In the opening she will smell the fresh cologne on you, and by the time the citruses fade away you can enjoy the florals on your gf. I don't think it's unisex enough to not be mistaken for a women's fragrance by the untrained nose, but it is an extremely pleasant smell overall. Even as an gentleman I'll be happy to add this to my collection. Also, the smell that stays on the skin after it dries down (too quickly unfortunately) is one of the most beautiful florals I have ever felt.

I am smitten by this fragrance. A beautiful floral/citrus. But as almost every tester states, wam bam, thank you ma'am. And it's gone. Forget the original. Try Perfume Parlour's Citrus Junos, 0925. Excellent inspiration, but lasts an extremely long time and you get wafts of it for hours. Just remember to get the extrait version. And a word to the wise: if you experience any projection/longevity issues on any other love, just get the perfume parlour extrait of it. This one now has the beauty of Amouage's Reflection 45 Man. So beautiful. I told you I was smitten. Haha.

This smells like citrus and woods to me. The yuzu is bright, but there's a slight bitterness to it. The woods part feels like the main body of the perfume. When it dries down, there's still a subtle hint of yuzu in the scent. Compared to other citrus perfumes that I have tried, the citrus notes in this one lasts pretty well. It's clean, citrus, and wood. It's unisex, but a little masculine leaning. Great for summertime, but I like wearing it year round. It does smell sharp and a little astringent in wintertime thooo

My first experience with Acqua di Parma, Yuzu opens with a sharp, zesty citrus burst that’s both refreshing and refined. The subtle bitterness in the opening adds character, balanced beautifully by clean, soapy notes that linger throughout. It’s perfect for warm days, though a bit too intense for colder weather—ideal for spring and summer freshness. The duration and projection are subtle and intimate, as expected from the brand, creating a sophisticated aura without overpowering.

This is my perfume for life! I love the yuzu smell. It feels like you're taking a good Yuzu Onsen bath in Japan. My skin don't normally smell well with ozonic and aquatic scents but this one works fine. On my skin, it smells like heaven. I love the white floral scent at the end when it dries down as well. Despite its performance and how ridiculously overpriced it is, I still would re-buy it if it ran out. Living in hot country myself, this one is the 'go-to' perfume for me!

I love the smell of this one! It is sweet, has a nice balance in between the yuzu and bergamot, with notes of lotus. The smell lasts for a few hours, though not as much as I’d like to. The sillage is mild, but I enjoy wearing it as a more intimate fragrance. It’s also a perfect unisex scent, but I do think this is slightly overpriced. I wanna give it a perfect rating but the longevity and sillage are too bad, so I'm giving it a 8/10.

Beautiful, but so light and the longevity so poor. Really the yuzu is well recreated. Not too cirtrusy...not too sweet a little bit peppery. Would love it to stay on me. I tried to put the cream before, but even with it, after 15 minutes there was just fainted réminiscence of it. I will try it again by a really warm and humid day...hope it will help.

We need more citrus fragrances like this! Yes, it's not super sharp or sour, but that's why it's beautiful. It smells like a dewy garden with citrus trees. Yuzu is a bright but not bitter citrus note that I wish was used more in perfumes. It's true what they say about the lack of sillage, but for something so fresh and delicate...I'll look past it.

It has a warm citrus scent with a dry down of soft florals that lingers on your skin. The scent is not overwhelming at all but it last only for a couple hours. My sister gave this for me as Christmas gift and all I could say it’s expensive yet it’s worth to get

This a very floral, light and feminine scent. The citrus notes appears on the background (not a sharp citrus at all). The florals dominate this scent for most of the time. I think it's lovely and perfect for summer days.

This is a beautiful fragrance. Yuzu is prominent but not that tangy like in other fragrances, you can smell the lightness, watery, smooth perfection. It is blended beautifully. A staple for humid weather.

Yesterday, I initiated my Acqua Di Parma journey by immersing myself in their "Signatures of the Sun" collection with Oud & Spice. While it proved to be a decent enough fragrance, it certainly didn't compel me to consider its full retail price of $360. Today, my exploration continues with another distinguished offering from the same collection: Yuzu. Based purely on its name, I anticipate this fragrance to embody the bright, vibrant essence of the Yuzu fruit itself. Will it leave a more indelible impression on me than its predecessor, Oud & Spice? Let's get into it and find out. Opening: The opening is a luminous cascade of citrus, florals, and freshness. The primary notes that instantly register are yuzu, lotus, mimosa, and violet leaf, with Yuzu and lotus being the undisputed protagonists. The yuzu ignites the fragrance with a vivacious burst of bright, zingy citrus, a sharpness comparable to lemon, yet undeniably more incisive and radiant. Trailing gracefully behind the yuzu, the lotus imparts a soft, yet persistent floral tone, elegantly underscored by a distinctly aquatic accord. Next, mimosa and violet leaf emerge. The mimosa lends a subtle, yellow floral hue to the opening, simultaneously carrying a whisper of green and a touch of honeyed sweetness. Lastly, the violet leaf lingers in the background as a soft, ozonic freshness, with a delicate, almost cucumber-like transparency. It is neither loud nor astringent, unlike the assertive violet leaf found in Dior Fahrenheit or perhaps Acqua Di Gio Elixir to a lesser extent; instead, it is far more reserved, leaning decidedly into the fresh and airy column of the note. Dry Down: The dry down maintains its initial character, remaining steadfastly citrusy, floral, and fresh. The primary notes I continue to discern are yuzu, lotus, mimosa, and violet leaf, with yuzu and lotus maintaining their prominence. The yuzu still retains its signature bright and citrusy zing from the opening, albeit softened and smoothed out into a more refined presence. Meanwhile, the lotus continues to impart its familiar soft floral and aquatic accord, though now a touch quieter. This enduring core is followed by the graceful contributions of mimosa and violet leaf. The mimosa still offers its green-tinged yellow floral accord, while the violet leaf continues to infuse the same ozonic freshness from the opening. Overall, the dry down closely mirrors the opening, with the most discernible difference being the subtle emergence of sandalwood in the base, lending a delicate, underlying woodiness. Performance: The initial projection is moderate, creating a gentle aura of approximately three to five feet. Sillage is also moderate, leaving a scent trail that is certainly noticeable but not what I would categorize as strong or pervasive. After a few hours, the projection had become more intimate, settling to about arm's length, yet the scent trail largely maintained its presence. By the seven-to-eight-hour mark, the fragrance had gracefully receded to a skin scent, indicating a total longevity of around six hours. When to Wear: Yuzu is unequivocally a spring and summer fragrance, ideally suited for daytime wear. Its inherently light and airy nature renders it quite versatile, allowing it to be comfortably worn in a variety of situations, seamlessly transitioning between casual settings and more formal occasions. It would also serve as a perfectly safe and pleasing choice for an office environment. Blind Buy: If you gravitate towards fresh and floral fragrances with a distinct focus on sharp, bright citrus, then Yuzu could very well be a safe blind buy for your collection. Final Verdict: As its very name led me to anticipate, Yuzu presented itself as a beautifully bright and unequivocally fresh fragrance, artfully highlighted by the luminous interplay of yuzu and lotus. The yuzu fruit was, without a doubt, the undisputed star, infusing the composition with a zingy, almost scintillating brightness. Complementing this vibrant citrus, the lotus gracefully softened the fragrance, introducing a gentle yet distinctly noticeable floral accord, all subtly underlined by a persistent, serene watery tone. The singular drawback, from my personal perspective, was that the pronounced floral notes within the fragrance nudged it into a more feminine territory than I typically find comfortable for my own wear. Given Yuzu's inherently fresh and light character, I held no grand expectations for it to be a performance powerhouse. From its initial spray, Yuzu settled into a moderately performing fragrance, projecting a pleasant aura of approximately three to five feet and leaving a discernible scent trail. After a few hours, it gracefully transformed into a more intimate "personal scent bubble," with its projection settling to about arm's length, while still retaining a respectable scent trail, before becoming a gentle skin scent around the six-hour mark. Yuzu's utility is, as expected for such a luminous scent, obviously limited to the warmer months. However, its versatility allows it to elegantly adapt to a range of situations, from laid-back casual moments to more formal affairs, and even serves as a perfectly appropriate office scent. Its mass appeal, in my estimation, falls squarely into the average category; it isn't destined to be an unsolicited compliment magnet, but most individuals will undoubtedly find your scent quite pleasing regardless. In conclusion, I genuinely believe Yuzu is a very well-crafted fragrance, but as I've noted, I personally find it to lean too feminine for my taste. My wife, upon smelling it, absolutely adored it and immediately declared it something she would wear, which for me, served as ample confirmation of my considerations. With that being said, it is not a fragrance I will be acquiring a full bottle of for myself. I certainly like it, but ultimately, it is simply not for me. Despite being named after a type of lemon, this is one of the least citrusy fragrances from the house (which is famous for its citrus fragrances). It is more floral, with aquatic tones and soft, fresh greens like cucumber (in this aspect, the perfume somewhat resembles Hermès' Un Jardin line). The flowers are quite subdued, with the lightness of Lotus being more present, while the more pungent scent of Violet or the powderiness of Jasmine and Mimosa remain in the background. Initially, the perfume is almost imperceptible; I had to apply a lot on my arm to start sensing the lemon, and it develops into a very mild, pleasant, extremely fresh, and calm fragrance where no floral or even citrus note stands out in particular, conveying more of a general sensation of water and breeze in an orchard and leaning towards a feminine fragrance profile. It lacks the structure or base of an Eau de Parfum and seems quite expensive compared to other colognes from the house with more developed profiles and stronger bases. However, even in its less inspired creations, AdP still makes very pleasant and natural fragrances, "effortless" fragrances. It's very hard to rate any from the house lower than a "liked it."

Yuzu is a pleasant citrus-led floral with an aromatic, woody undertone. The use of slightly unusual notes sets it apart from scents of a similar profile. I have only encountered yuzu a handful of times, but its sweet-tart contrast makes for a refreshing (in every sense of the word) departure from run-of-the-mill citrus. Yuzu opens with its title note, sweet yet tart and quite aquatic, adding light freshness up top. There is a hint of peppery spice evident before the florals unfold. Powdery, polleny mimosa, adding hazy sweetness, is the perfect development from the yuzu of the opening. It is rounded out by sheer, delicate white florals. Powdery violet follows, soft and subtle, but it is the aquatic lotus that is most prominent as it develops. It fades to a musky, woody skin scent after a little while. Sillage is intimate and longevity is moderate. This is a sweet, soft take on a citrus-led scent, feminine-leaning in my opinion. It is made for warm days. An easy reach in warm weather, this is pretty and pleasant throughout. It is safe and unchallenging despite the inclusion of unusual notes. I just wish it had better performance. 3.5/5.

Yuzu is hands down my favorite citrus fruit, both to smell and to eat. I've sampled many fragrances that claim to have a yuzu note, but this is the first time I have actually believed it. There is something singular about yuzu, something appreciably tangy and sour pillowed by a gentle sweetness that takes a backseat to the zing. This note is spot on and that makes me really happy. I love how green it is in the opening too. There's also a lovely floral accord. I do smell the mimosa (soft and fluffy) and the lotus (aquatic but not particularly light). I find the floral notes keep everything effervescent in a delightful way. I've been disappointed with how some Acqua di Parma scents dry down (too musky), but this one remains quite winsome for its relatively short lifespan. Like so many citrus scents, it's sadly short-lived. I just have to make my peace with that, I suppose. Debating getting a bottle; there's a great deal at Saks Off 5th of $187 for 3.4 oz/100 ml (almost half off of $350), which is an excellent price. 8/10.

Yuzu by Acqua di Parma: An airy, floral and citrusy fragrance perfect for summer, unisex but slightly more geared to women due to the floral notes. As is the case with all AdP fragrances, the quality is some of the best I've come across-the yuzu is sparkly and the floral notes are clean and delicate with a slight wateriness from the lotus. Performance isn't great, this is one to be worn in short bursts during the summer and is there to be discovered. Top notes: Sparkly yuzu, pepper, bergamot Middle notes: Lotus, jasmine, some mimosa Base notes: Sandalwood, light musk 3.5/5

This is one of the most truly “yuzu” scents I’ve smelled. It’s incredibly beautiful and brings me back to time in Japan. That said, much like memory it is incredibly fleeting - maybe 30 minutes to an hour or so of intimate projection, even after liberal application. I bought a bottle while traveling and swept up in the moment, and though I did indeed use it all, I wouldn’t repurchase. I mostly used this as a layering scent (loved it on top of Hinoki scents, or TF Bois Pacific), but the price is too high to justify that.

Fresh. Lots of yuzu, but the bergamot is most prominent here throughout its lifespan. Very nice dry down in my opinion but you’ll get that dry down within an hour. The longevity sucks and is more resemblent of an eau de cologne. Very intimate silage which is a such an annoyance for such a bright fragrance. The yellow flower from mimosa and other florals definitely push this in a more unisex zone. Overall scent is about a low 8 but taking into account longevity and projection I’ll give it a medium 7.

After a single spray, the pepper smell is the most prominent; it almost attacks you in a away. After a few seconds though, you can really smell the lemon. For a moment, I had compared it to the lemony stuff people use to clean up vomit. But after a few minutes it is safe to say that this scent is REALLY nice! I was really glad to be able to smell the jasmine and lotus much more clearly after a good dry down. Very much a refined older lady scent.

Smell is nice. Fresh, but not as sharp as a lot of citrus fragrances - more of a buttery citrus. Very soft and even on clothes it has virtually gone after an hour or two. If you’re given this as a gift you’d wear it - inoffensive, a little bit different to a lot of citrus scents but not breathtaking enough to get over the poor performance, and therefore probably not worth buying it yourself imo!

Despite being named yuzu, this is not a citrus scent to me. There's a lot more citrus in the dry down, but this is a light and airy floral. Basically a skin scent after an hour or so. Completely inoffensive and very subtly complex, but the performance leaves something to be desired for me :/ Edit: Might be crazy but when I layer this with D&G Pour Homme its divine

Refreshing & lightly aromatic fruity-floral; opens aquatic and citrussy (more bergamot than yuzu), before the powdery florals emerge, but they retain an aquatic-leaning profile that keeps in line with the scent's overall impression. Gets a bit muskier as it settles over the skin. Perfect for hot weather, definitely needs to be reapplied during the day.

An airy floral bouquet with an effervescent citrus and pepper top. Watery but with a soft fizz, like an almost-flat soda. Not especially yuzu-flavored, sadly, as the lemony bergamot kinda dominates it. Moderate initial projection quickly fades to skin over 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr. Not yuzu-ey enough for my tastes, as a big yuzu fan.

I love the fragrances of Acqua di Parma very much, their quality is indisputable, some fragrances, especially the citrus fruits, are too impalpable, evanescent. Yuzu Eau de Parfum by Acqua di Parma on my skin with juste pulvérisé appears fresh, lively, a weak, evanescent, dry down totally non-existent... I just wonder: why!?

First thing I think is an expensive hand soap! As it dries it morphs into a beautiful feminine fragrance! If my gf wore this on a summer day my knees would buckle.

Yes this smells nice... but, here me out... just get Le Jardin de Monsieur Li and thank me later. They smell almost identical, but Hermes is half the price! ;D

It took me a while to figure out why this fragrance has been "meh" for me. After all, it certainly doesn't smell bad, but I could never get into it. Turns out it's the mimosa for me. With a name like "Yuzu," I expected this fragrance to be much more citrusy and fruity, with a brighter, fresher profile. Instead, it's very floral forward, and not with the notes I'd prefer (lotus and jasmine). I dislike powdery florals, and the mimosa is dominant from start to finish. The yuzu is definitely there, but it's more like a backup dancer rather than the star of the show. This frag has such interesting notes that I'd like to see get more attention. Unfortunately, the mimosa drowns out everything but the yuzu on my skin.

I like yuzu as a perfume note, but this interpretation of it isn't for me. It's obviously a well-made, high-quality perfume, but I generally like my citruses happier than this, zesty/sunny/sparkling/tart/bright/uplifting. This Yuzu is none of those things; instead it's rather warm, floral and especially aromatic, in a way that puts it a little too much towards the masculine side of unisex for my own personal taste. So I'm not saying anything against it (except maybe that longevity could be better), but I'm leaving my sample behind without regrets.

Not a particularly nice or unique scent, very much meh. For a 'citrus scent' the floral notes are overly dominant; meanwhile, the citrus notes are very much nondescript, more reminiscent of a lemon air freshener than yuzu. Citrus floral musk, slight sweet and powdery, doesn't smell yuzu, gives very vague impression of lotus, jasmin, and mimosa. Does remind me of hermes jardin monsieur li in the opening, but less vegetal/green and has slightly different florals, with harsher and more powdery musk than the hermes.

Acqua di Parma's Colonia series opens with brilliant photorealistic citruses that sparkle in their own olfactive sunlight. This fragrance however does not live up to that standard. Nor does it seem to smell like an Eau de Parfum.

Unfortunately I didn't get any yuzu :( bergamot, maybe. It's a fresh summer unisex scent leaning more masculine. I'd like my husband to try wearing this, and he doesn't wear perfume.

It's a fresh yuzu citrusy summer scent that only lasts less than 1 hour on the skin. It should be marketed as cologne...

Soapy citrus, doesn't last long and soon becomes a skin scent. Underwhelming tbh.

I tested the fragrance once and it was great but made the mistake and bought it without seeing how it would evolve during the day. It’s a nice lemony-flowery scent with a touch of dry woods, but unfortunately it does not last more than 90 minutes on me, nor my clothes.

AdP is my favorite house but this just isn't good. For a natural spray, it smells artificially sweet. This smells like it could be $15. I actually had to scrub it off. Osmanthus isn't much better. Not very impressed by the Signatures line.

The initial yuzu blast fades too quickly and moves into an aquatic/aldehydic style after the first moments. I was hoping for something like Vibrato but with yuzu, or at least Artisan Pure with yuzu, but it’s not that.

Disappointing. No yuzu to be found, just a light nondescript floral. For an actual juicy yuzu scent, try Yuzu by Olibanum.

The open scent Yuzu is great but the floral and base line is really bad. Don't buy it 4/10

As a fan of AdPs Colonia Essenza, Intenza, etc. and several of their Mediterranean range this Yuzu opening gets a hard, ‘No,’ from me - it smells way too much like artificial Yuzu air freshener... or like a sweet bakery tart that used artificial food flavouring before a feminine floral powdery aspect then becomes dominant. It’s a real shame AdP discontinued their high-quality Ingredients (brown bottle) line and replaced it with these synthetic and artificial smelling black/clear bottles that are *even more* expensive! TL;DR: Smells artificial and cheap - especially shameful for a 200€ price tag! Neither masculine nor unisex - more adapted for older ladies.

This one has Ambroxan in the base. Totally ruins what is a promising start. Disappointing.

Tested today at John Lewis. It was initially very soapy and clean, neither masculine nor feminine but perfectly balanced with aspects of both. It lasted well for me, becoming more beautiful as time passes. It’s very natural with no jarring chemicals. I can imagine it might come into its own on a summer day. It’s not as citrus as I had imagined and a million miles away from cheaper, more synthetic yuzu fragrances. The liquorice note is new to me; I can taste as well as smell it and it keeps me coming back for another sniff. There is so much in this and the notes seem to dance and play a ‘now you see me, now you don’t’ kind of game. Will I buy a bottle? I have never spent this kind of money on a fragrance, ever. Neither have I ever smelled this good. It’s a battle between head and heart. Maybe a small decant so I can live with it a little longer and check out whether it’s a long term romance or just a summer fling? Edit - the head won. I didn’t buy it. I’ve forgotten how it felt to wear it. I might just try it again!
