I will definitely buy it soon, People need to get their act together with this fragrance, if after several years of discontinuing midnight poison by Christian Dior and our hearts are still sad about it, we have the one that is closest to the fragrance of that time, of course it does not have the trail as powerful as the mythical midnight poison but it does have the duration and a less invasive trail. This new creation from the Acqua di Parma house is another great success in giving variety to its "Signatures from the sun" collection; in which I have some of them, I feel that it is undervalued and that only connoisseurs of the authentic Italian line and are colonies that maintain that essence are given the opportunity to know something unique. In this case I was buying Oud & Spice, which I already had on my wish list, when the sales associate at Palacio de Hierro Polanco (Mexico) invited me to also see one of the most recent additions to the collection and it was Zafferano, although with The lid is the same as the others and without the gold details as shown in the main image of the Harrods version, the SA commented that it is the same concept. From the beginning it made me smile and after 1 minute thinking about what it was, a very familiar aroma occurred to me while my imagination took me back to blue nights with sweetness in the atmosphere like Halloween season or Dia de Muertos (2 november), one trying to seduce just with the look or doing mischief alone while maintaining a young spirit where one just wants to spend the night in a club and dance enough to get home tired and sleep comfortably. Once that dream was over, while I was remembering the aroma, I saw the incredible resemblance of Acqua di Parma Zafferano to Midnight Poison (which I still jealously keep in my closet so as not to finish the bottle I have) definitely a unique aroma that will turn heads, it will make you remember MP from CD and that if one does not take advantage of the opportunity to recover that memory, perhaps we will miss this fragrant eclipse that we had not witnessed for a while. Recommendation to go try it and get two bottles. It lasts more than 8 hours with a strong trail for the first 5 hours and it goes down little by little but it continues to be perceived without problems by people around. If you wear just a shirt and attitude for a date it will be successful, on the other hand a woman with an undeniable presence can wear this perfume to reaffirm her authority. Definitely a very well made fragrance that can give more good surprises than bad, making you unique. Thank you Acqua di Parma for reviving an extraordinary aroma.

Another great addition to my collection from Acqua di Parma. It's such a cozy and easy going fragrance, something for a person that doesn't easily get bothered by the little things. It's something I put on when I want to relax, have a slow day and just enjoy the moment. But honestly it's great for any occasion: office, running errands, an evening out or a chill Sunday brunch. In my opinion it's also suitable for any time of year. Reminds me a bit of a luxury soap but in a good way. Some will say it's kind of boring, I'm gonna say it's pure class. It's quite light and uplifting, not "in your face" kind of thing. I would say initial 30min can project quite well but after that if someone wants to smell it, they will have to get close to you. Kind of average performance overall but that's fine, exactly what I would expect from a chill fragrance like this. What I find crazy is that no one compared this yet to Roja Moustache EDP nor Laura Biagiotti Roma Uomo. While they obviously don't smell exactly the same, they all have very similar structure and overall feeling. Roma Uomo being the old school one, Moustache the "modern man" version and Zafferano the luxury version. Price wise I think it's not that bad, you can get 180ml for around 200eur. Normally I do not recommend blind buying but if you got some spare cash and you're into orientals like me, you will most likely enjoy it.

Testing Zafferano from a 1.5 ml Acqua di Parma official sample. Not what I was expecting based on the feedback from Feagrantica users votes... First of all, Zafferano is an amazing fragrance indeed! Combining notes like sweet tonka, vanilla, rose, saffron with geranium, fresh citruses, orange blossom, woods and jasmine creates a lovely gourmand saffron scent. The way it develops on my skin takes Zafferano into a feminine direction! I understand that the scent it’s supposed to highlight saffron note, but the sweetness from vanilla and tonka beans as well as pairs of flowers: on one side rose and geranium, on the other jasmine and orange blossoms really make the juice smell super girly and sweet. So I am a bit surprised by the votes here stating it’s a more masculine fragrance, this is not how I experience this juice. The scent smells very natural and addictive but the performance is kinda lacking. For the price Acqua di Parma sells this perfume l, I need more to justify the cost. While I absolutely love the way it smells and I would totally wear Zafferano (and recommend it to ladies) especially during fall season, I can’t put up with the hefty price. But on sale, this is fire!!! Better than I was anticipated when I was checking out the notes! Beautiful as always with Acqua di Parma!

I just recently discovered Zafferano, in my journey to finding scents similar to Midnight Poison. As soon as I smelled it, I immediately recognized the Midnight Poison DNA that I absolutely adore. I sought to get a full bottle as soon as possible and have been enjoying it this fall and hopefully into winter. I think Demachy may have reworked Midnight Poison formula to make it more robust, which is why so many comments refer to this being "masculine" leaning (after all, Midnight Poison could have well been marketed as the "Poison pour Homme"; it's a shame they never took advantage of this). Nevertheless, I consider this perfectly unisex and can picture this on any beautifully confident human. If you enjoy patchouli-rose centric scents, this one is for you. And if you're looking for something in the vein of the dearly beloved and oh-so-missed Midnight Poison, I'd also advise you to check this out.

As I wrote in my review of Sandalo, it looks like Acqua di Parma doesn't know how to make a mediocre/unlikeable scent. Zafferano starts of with a sweet spicy note and that sweetness remains as the spiciness evaporates after some 1-2 hrs. I don't perceive it as a citrus forward top, the sweet and spicy DNA emanate from the start which should be the middle/heart notes. The base notes appear 3 hours in, with sweet vanilla/tonka with a tinge of wood. Zafferano is a versatile scent as well, office safe but more outgoing than Sandalo for active night about town or for wearing to parties and social events. Projection and longevity are a little stronger than Sandalo but not quite what I'd expect of an EDP strength scent. Still this scent is a beauty, I hope to add a full size bottle some day.

This is legit good but has performance like a cologne, except it does not have the massive projection of a cologne. This is not a monster saffron like Ganymede or Matière Premiere which I like for evening and cold weather wearing. It is so well balanced that no particular ingredient takes the lead. Acqua di Parma is first and foremost an old and traditional Italian Cologne maker. This release is pretty modern and under new ownership, some of the craftsmanship has been streamlined, but they still use traditional extraction principles such as Spugnatura method. They are not making "beast mode" fragrances. If that is your bag, you should look at other houses. This is on the more elegant side of this signatures of the sun line. I honestly think this is the best Acqua Di Parma. For a niche house that offers a large EDC selection, having an EDP like this really puts them in a catagory of other niche houses. It's not your typical ADiP citrus bomb that fades in 2-3 hours. It's complex and interesting. I smelled all their EDP and EDC offerings at a Sephora in Milan and this, Colonia, Colonia Intensa and Fico Di Amalphi are the best ones IMO. Didn't really like their Oud, Leather or C.L.U.B selections that seem to be the most popular. Acqua Di Parma really caters to your mature Italian man. They do not cater to the Gen Z fanboys with their super sweet Ethyl Maltol bomb taste. Did not smell any women's options.

I have Dior Midnight Poison, and this fragrance is its long-lost twin brother. If I had to paint a picture, imagine an episode of Dynasty: it’s that secret brother who suddenly walks into the Christmas dinner—uninvited, unknown, and absolutely ready to ignite the scandal of the season. The moment he appears, you just know he’s about to add chaos, glamour, and a delicious amount of drama to everyone’s life. The longevity isn’t as powerful as Midnight Poison, but the DNA is unmistakably the same. Acqua di Parma knew exactly what they were doing. Definitely recommended if you want to experience the alluring, magnetic aroma of Midnight Poison in a new, unexpected way.

So update to "first impressions", I've bought a full Bottle! I disagree with it being an all year round scent unless you live somewhere warm. On a cold winter day I wasn't overly impressed but give this a bit of heat & oh my. In the cold this was very much a skin scent but in a warmer room the scent bubble expanded. Not sure about the Saffron but certainly I get an orange vanilla, not sweet either. I'm not sure that I would have the FB at +£200 though but picked it all from allbeauty for £150. Only other ADP I own is Fico Di Amalfi La Riserva.

Zafferano is Really Good for a Saffron scent. It isn't loud and pronounced Saffron here but it's so well blended and balanced. The orange from the 3 note in the opening and heart goes so well with the flora, jasmine and rose that it becomes a scent that is both musculine and unisex. It isn't that sweet either so the tonka is just nice. The light vanilla tone is also just right. Really outstanding. So well done. Ps. Mine bottle is the normal black edp and not the Harrods exclusive.

This was love at first smell. I kinda reminds me of a mix of CDG 2 and Chanel Allure Sport eau extreme. Less floral than CDG and not as sweet as Allure sport eau extreme. It's doing it's own thing and is very good at it. On my skin it's fresh and classy without it being overly mature. Grown man smell and sophisticated. I live in a warm climate and this will do just fine in the heat, day & night. Loving this. Will buy again when this bottle finishes.

So this is first impressions after receiving my sample today. Wondering if it's a genuine sample because for me this is pretty much a skin scent from the off! Do I like it, yes it smells good but having also sprayed the back of my hand, I really need to get my nose on my skin before smelling anything & at over £200/bottle that's not a performance I'd pay that sort of money for. I'll give it another couple of wears & report back.

As a Brit, this is the best AdP fragrance I've found for the cooler weather. Tragically most of the line can only really stretch to real summer, but Zafferano has the oomph to work on a cold February day! A true blessing to have the spring light bottled. And the saffron scent is just gorgeous - there is something a bit almond/argan in the base I think k that's why some are reading it as being like hotel lotion when drying

As a woman that doesn’t typically reach for unisex scents, I can’t see how others feel this is masculine. Maybe the very first minute of it feels slightly masculine but to my nose this is very feminine. Sure, not sugar syrup sweet feminine but spicy, earthy type of feminine. Absolutely adore it.

It's good. Demashi sat down to make things and get rare chemicals for his perfumes. Sophistication. Kurkjian can't do that. Appreciate it, especially if it has not been reframed.. You'll find one soon enough. There will be aquigalawood from Quentin Bichat everywhere.

Zafferano is an interesting experience. Very unisex and light - but not trivial - scent which perfectly fits on very self-confident male. Zafferano is like a silly girl you met years ago and after all this time you can not stop thinking about her.

What I love about this one is that it's not that Arabic-like saffron accord (which I don't like), this one is a softer, sweetier one, and although not listed, I do smell a prominent patchouli note, as if it were a sweet saffron + patchouli mix

Great scent now available worldwide. Very fresh and reinvigorating citruses with an herbal spicy drydown. Longevity and sillage are perfect. This will be a blockbuster. It's a compliment getter!
