Verbena Absoluta

This was received as a gift from a kind fragrance friend with a great understanding of my tastes. It's a strong "Like", with the only thing keeping me from rating it an absolute "Love" being the longevity. However, one must be realistic and understand that this isn't supposed to be anything besides a refresher or mood lifter on a warm to brutally hot day. A treat. That's exactly how I wear it or the bottle might not last me a week! Then once I feel "good enough" to welcome the day ahead (or what remains of it) I'll apply a proper perfume without worry of interaction. 1-2 hours post application most traces of Verbena Absoluta are gone except for a pleasant skin scent IF someone gets close enough to kiss your neck. Do you want to know how this smells before ordering a bottle? Go to your closest L'Occitane store in the mall and test whatever their current Verveine Agrumes is at the time and that'll get you pretty close. I own some of their 2015 and 2020 and find them nearly identical to each other, but both are missing the stronger wood note and musk from Verbena Absoluta. I do like Acqua di Stresa's version better because of that dedicated (and noticeable) base and a slightly more realistic citrus open, but it's not going to be easy to find here when my bottle is (soon) empty!
