Sublimis (formerly Numero V)

I just sampled these, and here's my honest thoughts.... Adamo Cinque, a revelation just like Numero due, has firmly secured its place among my top discoveries of 2023! While Numero 2 remains a sexy mature masculine powerhouse yet easy to wear and versatile might I dare to say masterpiece, Cinque, V, emerges as the secret weapon for enchanting date nights. Its spicy blend, wrapped in warmth with subtle gourmand hints of dark chocolate perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The alluring essence of leather and oud with the sillage of chocolate and coffee is an absolute aphrodisiac. V exudes an ethereal presence, casting a captivating sillage that's simply irresistible with an interesting contrast of being bold yet quiet elegance. I would say this balance of middle eastern oriental vibe with Italian flair and french perfumery craftsmanship has been expertly blended and constructed and to accomplish these facets is no small achievement! Definitely full bottle worthy and absolutely unisex to be worn in a date night or cozy movie night at home or on a date...it's simply irresistible. The fragrance reviewers here some I have heard of actually did their bit, and it's clear that some negative reviews here might just be baseless. It seems like a couple of them didn't bother trying it or might just be trolling. It's puzzling how some opinions can be way off when others, especially from the experts, clearly see the greatness in it. For me, Adamo Cinque has firmly earned its place among my signature scents, nudging Black Phantom aside.

Those familiar with Francesca Bianchi will immediately recognize the animalic leather notes here, but Numero Cinque brings on a sweet-ish, chewy, and nearly - but not quuuiiiite - gourmand slant. There's not much of a "journey" here, but what you do get is thick, and deliciously enveloping. The sillage is large. Don't judge this one by the smell from the atomizer. What develops on the skin is far better, and I feel like the scent in the air is better still than nose-to-skin. You really need to wear it to understand it. This may be a bit too dense for summer, but is absolutely suited for cool / cold weather. Staying power is excellent: I sprayed in the morning, and could still smell it on my skin the following morning. Lasts even longer on fabric. Definitely a scent that can be dressed up or dressed down.

I recently acquired the discovery kit, and this brand has truly exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Deciding which fragrance to review first was a challenge, but the choice became evident when my girlfriend and I found ourselves in a friendly dispute over Numero V. I just got a chance to sample this the other day. What a powerhouse of a perfume! This is a one of a kind leather and oud perfume that features coffee and chocolate. It's heavier on the coffee leather and oud notes and is the kind of perfume that I would want to have right around this time. Perfect for colder weather, night time, fall, winter. I have a feeling this is going to make quite a statement in the room and will leave a massive scent trail.

This perfume is something special. It’s a blend of leather, oud, coffee, and chocolate with a zingy ginger kick at the start. Surprisingly, despite the heavy notes, it’s not overpowering. It feels perfect for cooler weather, giving off a vibe that’s great for fall and winter. Overall, a unique and versatile scent that could easily become a favorite.

V is a wonderful composition that showcases the sumptuous gourmandy nature of Oud. It’s daring yet appealing at the same time. I’ve got many comments on this one but one comment won it all: “you smell like an Arabic cafeteria”. I’d say Oud here is noticeable and center of the scent but isn’t too muddy nor animalic

Stunning stunning fragrance, one of the most beautifully blend compositions I have ever tried. You can smell this is a high quality fragrance. Ya lattonic, coffee, zingy perfume with a cloak of woods and leather. A special occasion fragrance, truly regal!

The different kind of "Oud" fragrances are released all the time. First I was so excited but now after one year of continuous disappointment of the quality of them or the lack of uniqueness I'm not so excited anymore. If not counting the real Ouds and the high quality artisanal houses which are concentrated in Oud perfumes the most of the releases are somewhat terrible. The truth is as well that the more there are scents with Oud the more demanding we become and the new releases really has to have something extraordinary to offer. Adamo Numero V is opening in a very promising way. It's deep, dark and opulent with some of the most common notes with Oud - coffee, chocolate and leather. The smell of Oud in the opening is astonishingly beautiful but how it fades so quickly makes me think how much (or rather little) there is exactly the real Oud. It's not in an animalic side in the beginning either but it has a slightly edgy character. Coffee and chocolate are blending very well together like all the other notes here as well and those notes are first utterly recognisable but the best parts of them fades away as well like the note of Oud did. Leather is mild all the time. First I was thinking that now I found a very special scent but unfortunately it evolves on the skin too quickly into the light and gentle aroma which is very safe to wear and is pleasant even for the beginners. The blend is not bad in any way and there is actually nothing which bothers me but still it makes me think of for example Majnoon | Azman or Khanjar | Omanluxury which both convinced me in their own way. If you are considering to buy some scent from this kind of friendly western Oud category, I do recommend you to try this one. If you are used to the real Ouds, animalic Ouds and you really want something challenging this is not for you. But still, I want to say that the smell is not bad at all. I hate tipping the scale to dislike because I covet the bottle so hard, it reminds me of the chevron flooring of the red room in Twin Peaks, but I feel like I'm trapped inside a stuffy car in the middle of summer. I hear they're reformulating it because it's so expensive to produce. I look forward to seeing what that's like. I tried it on at home in the city during a heat wave which isn't the best time to get the sense of a new perfume. I'm trying it again now at an Urlaub am Bauernhof in the breezy mountain air, hoping the oud would magically go barnyard for me here on a farm, but I still feel like I'm suffocating in a car. It feels stale and musty, like it needs to be aired out.

It's fine. Didn't really do much for me. Yeah I get chocolate and leather, but at this point, I've been spoilt by some incredible leather scents that it's going to take something pretty special to wow me. yeah not much to say really. My partner likes it.

Oh boy, another "Out of nowhere" niche brand that suddenly appears in every sellout YT video, with huge discount codes and promises of panties flying everywhere. Add the fake reviews by brand new accounts that you can see bellow and you just know it's overpriced generic garbage filled with sharp synthetics that spends more money on sponsoring youtubers, than actually creating their fragrances. Where have I seen this? Save your money.

Received this as a 2ml. Ill make it short, fuck ton of leather and wood, with a tad coffee. It reminds me of a freshly bought black leather boot, that still smells of black dye, or just straight up tattoo ink with a hint of coffee. Performance is crazy, had to get rid of the tester as fast as possible, my room still reeks like tattoo ink. Not for me.

I was kindly gifted this from a friend. Ive seen this get a lot of hype from the fragcom as well, however ive also seen a fair amount of backlash as well that perhaps theres a lot of shilling of it going on. For me my first impression is this is not at all what I was expecting smell wise. Although my friend told me she thinks it smells like a sexy arab daddy haha which at least from the perspective of potentially being sexy and older I can see. But in terms of notes again not what I was expecting. From the fragrances I see it being mentioned in terms of it smelling like seems to be quite varied I see things like black phantom one minute which I dont get at all, but then silky woods the next. Which I would more so agree. This has the same sorta, leathery, burnt rubber sorta oud kinda mix that is in fragrances like Silky Woods, or lets say Manceras Aoud Vanille if you know what im referring to. However on top of that(disregarding the ginger in the opening as that is gone in a flash on my skin)the coffee, chocolate sorta smell that I get is actually that of Bonds I love new york for all, or the then reformulated/rebranded new bond street. Which I was not expecting at all. You dont get the dry down of that sorta crushed coco pebbles like that fragrance of course since of course the backbone of this is that sorta leather, burnt rubber oud kinda smell. But it is what it is, and thats how it is to me on my initial testing. Personally I like more sweet scents, so id prefer something sweeter, or a more mocha kinda coffee. And as ive always said I still hope one day a fragrance comes out that smells like coffee and donuts, like walking into a dunkin donuts or something. But I dont hate it and I think it smells fine enough. And I think what my friend told me she thought it smelled like I suppose I can see. I guess my qualm or question would be would I choose to wear this over wearing I love new york for all if I wanted that part of this fragrance, or aoud vanille if I wanted a fragrance that had some of that vibe? I dunno.. So overall is it worth the hype? I dunno about that, but I think it smells fine enough.

Gotta say this is deff one of the strongest fragrances in my collection. I recently had some friends try this, and lets just say this is not for everyone. Like this can clear a room. I was at a store recently where this was sprayed once and it actually offended a customer to the point she wanted something else to be sprayed to get rid of the smell that was filling the room. Its pretty potent to say the least. Coming back to it and trying it again myself, I do wish the leather was a bit less strong and there was more coffee, chocolate sorta sweetness. Its a fragrance for me that everytime ive tried it I get the same vibe, I dont mind the opening, but then as it progresses going into the mid, I just dont want to smell this much of oud and leather for hours until I get to the dry down. Although for what its worth once it gets to the dry down and considering how strong it is it does last for a long time for sure.

So the perfume is a warm woody gourmand with just a brief hint of coffee. Combo 'oud and chocolate well executed but I expected something more animalic and/or smoky but it didn't happen. Fecal nuance, corral, barn forget... I don't see any challenges or difficulties in this. But I already have other fragrances with this 'oud and chocolate combo as protagonists, but they are more advanced 'ouds [Areej LeDoré for example] that don't please so easily. That is, those who were afraid because of the Olfactory Pyramid have no reason, it is a very tasty perfume, a chocolatey woody with a light leathery background. Those looking for something heavier may be disappointed. The perfume has great quality ingredients. And it also has great performance.

Beautiful gourmand scent! I don't get why not a lot of people are talking about it! I really liked the design of a bottle, somehow it reminded me of Art Deco and it sparked my interest, and that is how I discovered this amazing scent. It is very warm, smooth, on one hand dusty and powdery chocolate, on the other creamy and soft sandalwood, and this combination just goes so well together. The sweetness is deep and not artificially over the top; it's not too much and not juvenile, but warm. I don't get a lot of Oud note here; it's pretty much somewhere in the background. Overall, very smooth and silky gourmand scent. I would say even more masculine to me than feminine.

Straight out of atomizer I get permanent maker smell.. must be the oud and leather mix. That settles in about 5-7 minutes but still heavy oud and leather on my skin.. no chocolate no gourmand on my skin the first 20 minutes. Then after about 20-30 minutes I get a slight chocolate scent but still a heavy leather smell. It’s a big no for me because of my chemistry. I am sure this is lovely on someone else skin. It’s actually offensive smelling as it radiates off my skin ;) we would categorize this as a scrubber on me. And I would keep getting whiffs of permanent maker here and there... so I did indeed end up scrubbing it off because it’s eternal.

This was my best discovery of end of 2023, I was looking for a dark chocolate scent that is not sweet, with darker notes and smell realistic, I am super happy with this, I get a projection (powdery at the end) that is huge and I feel really unique, It's charismatic, the coffee notes makes it low-key classy, I wore it during winter holidays (felt perfectly appropriate as very enveloping), I would highly recommend to try the brand if you're looking for fragrances that feels real, heavy, and a tiny bit edgy Bonus: I got nice compliments from my family that is usually not fans of my special fragrances haha

A beautiful smooth coffee with a “zingy” ginger opening that isn’t too contrasting. I’d say it’s definitely unisex, maybe even safer for men.the heavy notes of oud, leather and dark chocolate are subtle and blended perfectly so they don’t smell too dark. To be honest, it’s a stunning compliment better especially for fall and winter.

Fragrantica needs to check out this reviews because they are cleary bias. The 3 comments here are from people who dont have any other fragrance in their wardrobe or just have fragrances from this house. Clearly people from the brand or that have been paid to say good things.
