Diamonitirion - elixir atonit

Ahh, unisex bliss in an artful bottle. This gorgeous fragrance reveals itself with a bright, zesty opening with a noticeable sillage but not room-filling. The citrus and spice notes perfectly balance each other, none becoming too tangy or sharp. There is a sweetness to it that I tend to attribute to cardamom, which lingers until dry down. It is this note that compels me to recommend it for colder weather or evening use, as it may become overwhelming in hot climates. Do not understand this as a negative aspect, it's beautiful, but best suited for certain moments. When the middle notes start to arise the brightness subsides, however the fragrance doesn't become heavy or suffocating. This happens around the 10-15min mark. It keeps an almost fresh facet, even though you primarily detect resins in this stage. As I mentioned, there is a lingering sweetness, which might be prolonged by the waxy notes. As much as I wish I could put my finger on the "old books" notes, I really cannot isolate it, but I can let myself be transported to the scenery by the scent experience with ease. The dry down is delicious, beginning after 1hr of wear. It leans towards a traditionally male associated scent but could easily be worn by women who enjoy an unisex edge. In this phase the sillage has shrunk already, so it would only be detectable by people who are close to you. Overall, I love wearing this fragrance as a woman. I find it much more "crowd-pleasing" than Philokalia by the same house, but it doesn't tug at my affective memories as that one always does. It still envelops me in a calm atmosphere, ever so slightly "church"-y, mainly due to the resins. But Diamonitirion feels like it elevates the spirit somehow, whereas Philokalia transports it in the past. Remaining on the subject of comparison, I find that Diamonitirion lacks the absolute eternal longetivity of Philokalia which I find rather strange given the amount of resinous notes contained. Perhaps it is formulated to be top heavy, in which case it is perfectly understandable given the volatility of citric, fresh notes. On my skin it lasts around 5 hours without having to put my nose to my skin and on my clothes it is still detectable after 8 hours. Even still, I keep planning on purchasing the full bottle as I received this only as a sample with the Philokalia order. People who seek never-before sniffed notes in niche fragrance might be disappointed, but this one shines through the masterful blend and complexity evoked by the notes, even if you can find them in more accessible perfumes. I am very, very excited to discover more of Adi ale Van's beautiful sceneries translated into fragrances by more artists, so far I am thoroughly enjoying Giovanni's masterpieces.

I’ve only had this fragrance as a sample, but I’m already hooked. When I get the cash, I’ll have to buy a full bottle. This is amazing. The other fragrances from AAV that I have tried I didn’t really like, but this hits just right. It’s very similar to Sacred Scarab from Zooligist and Byzantine Amber by Francesca Bianchi but it’s more refined, natural and fresh than those two. The spicy green notes are rich, crispy, moist and deep. The amber is bright and clean. I swear that Diamonitirion was made for the royals of ancient Egypt. The lime and cardamom lift the top of the fragrance to perfection as the myrrh, resin and amber oozes opulence at the base of it. Diamonitirion is not ‘sticky’ like the two fragrances I find most similar to it; Sacred Scarab and Byzantine Amber. Diamonitirion is smooth and sharp. It reminds me of the times that I used to climb trees as a kid and got that orange and runny sap on my hands. It does have that parchment note, as well. Projection is good but not overpowering. Longevity is a full day; no issue. In total, I’d give it a score of 10/10. This is no doubt a masterpiece fragrance, and the best of its own kind.

Rllllly rllllly love the more I wear it. I loved the strength of the lime and pink pepper in the beginning and feeling it take a back seat through the scent duration and smelling the amber take more charge. I loved the MrHeff review where he said it’s extremely realistic. I agree. I think people get hung up on saying anything with candle wax/incense notes reminds them of a Church, but this truly reminds me of my Catholic Church growing up and the classes I took there lol. Very familiar scent without the obvious smokey or incense notes to drive that memory, if that makes sense. A new staple in my collection!

Strong pink pepper and lime in the opening, more dusty amber follows, it does indeed come forward as books and candle wax. The vibe — and certainly the amber — is a bit like L’Air du desert marocain but with different spices, notably without cumin. A little more discreet than I am used to from Adi Ale Van. Yet it is still a strong performer, but do try it first.

this kind of niche considered as an art niche perfume, the packaging and the ingredients are out of any expectations it's hard to explain the creativity of the scent but by the end its more than amazing 10 of 10

Outstanding lived in warm slightly sweet cardamom fragrance that is slightly sweet and a job to wear. There is a reason why this fragrance is in such high reguard.

This is an extremely photorealistic scent of glögg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glögg). When you make glögg for children you make it from cordials instead of wine, commonly black currant cordial. The lime in this translates as black currant cordial for me, and all the other spices blend in with it. It's not offensive, it's not bad, but for anyone who has a strong relation to drinking glögg as a child, its unmistakable that it smells exactly like it and it's too realistic for me.

It smells like an abandoned church library that whilst being abandoned, someone had incense burning the entire time. The candles that lit the library are entirely melted now and the smell of candle wax fills the entire library alongside the incense. It sounds weird, but I truly mean it in the best way possible. This is beautiful and the fact that it actually smells like what I describe is amazing. The bottle is also beautiful. Potential cop.

Lucky for me, I LOVE cardamom, this fragrance is a cardamom bomb but I also clearly detect the lime and pink pepper in the opening, later in the fragrance the cardamom still dominated even in the heart, you start getting honeyed amber and some dry woodiness, to me there’s no dust or wax, ends on a very simple basic amber/honey/resin base. Nice? Yes but nothing crazy at all

Of course the fragrance with a cross gets the most hate. I wonder who would do that, perhaps they're religious beliefs are false that's why they need to seek hating the truth. Now go back to war you dogs. They probably know what dora fragrance smells like because that's the same age as their wives
