Grapa r fume 2

I love when perfumes are greater than the sum of their parts, and Grapa R Fume 2 is a perfect example of this phenomenon. I tend to dislike floral and sweet perfumes. I likely wouldn't have gone out of my way to try this fragrance had I not received a sample in a trade. After two proper wears, I can safely say I'm going to need to find a larger decant. GRF2 is captivating, soothing, and uplifting. It's both naturalistic and weirdly synthetic in a way that doesn't sound cohesive on paper but works beautifully in practice. On my skin, the opening is bright green grass with hazy, foggy mountain air. I spent a period of time living in a valley surrounded by mountains, and the first few hours of wear remind me very much of the fresh air in that environment. Eventually, a cozy and comforting chamomile aroma begins wafting from my skin and joins the bucolic scent bubble surrounding me. It is accompanied by a particularly green and milky tuberose. Wearing GRF2 smells like sitting on the porch in a rocking chair, sipping a cup of chamomile tea, and gazing up at the Smoky Mountains on a springtime afternoon... but it isn't one-to-one realistic when compared to my scent memory. Instead, this perfume is like peeking through a portal in time and space to view an old memory that has become slightly warped and surreal with age. Smooth leather and sharp metal in the base lend themselves to an air of fantasy. The sunny sweetness of hay and cane sugar envelop the late dry-down in a way that matches the dreamy, wistful feeling of looking back fondly. The longevity and projection on my skin both go absolutely bonkers. I can wear Grapa R Fume 2 all day long, go to sleep, and smell it clear as day the next afternoon. I usually avoid using the "eternal" rating when evaluating longevity, but this fragrance does last damn near forever on fabric. I am impressed and plan to explore more creations from this house!

I'll happily be the first to review of this on here. I got a 3ml sample of the real juice, and it's impressive. Perfectly unisex, too. I can't stress enough that this IS really wearable. Impressively wearable. Don't let the metallic accord scare you off. Scents like Hermès H24 is metallic. This is not metallic. This is really similar in character to Blamage from Nasomatto. The notes of wild berries, green apple, mango and most importantly sugar cane gives the scent a very natural sweetness. The scent is sweet and almost syrupy down in the base. I can't really tell each indivicual note of these since they are a bit jumbled together but I'm sure they are all in there. The notes of leather, grass and hay almost merge together to form an addictive, very rich and woody green note, which I really like. Grapa'r'fume 2 is really not that challenging. Frankly it's pretty good stuff.

This was a pleasing one, maybe a bit too grassy and sharp, almost fizzy texture to it. The main texture here is crispyness, very fresh and airy. Cleaning detergent comes to mind also but not necessarily in a bad manner. As it dries down you get more and more tuberose and it becomes more spring-like. I do not dare say I can feel the mountain air note but that sensation of being outside and getting cold air all over you is without a doubt there. Good, not amazing, not buying, liking :)

This one confused me, honestly. I personally don't know how I feel about it. Its fresh and metallic but like other says the metallic note boosts the freshness feel. To me, it feels syrupy in a way I'm not quite sure how to explain. The dry down is dominated with the hay and I scrubbed it off at that point. It just felt like a syrup that was like hay scented. Not for me. Maybe I gotta come back to this one day
