Hai Hui Flower Power Extrait

With the first sniff I am on a vacation on a blue lake at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. The scents of the forest are carried in the air from the forests that surround this hut hotel and together with the wood scents of the huts create a perfect woody scent already in the opening. At the entrance to the hut are beds of tiny mint seedlings, I pass them and on the table in the living room a wooden bowl with aged pineapple fruit, with on the heating plate cardamom water to heat the atmosphere. As you can see the opening is woody that leads directly to the heart of the sweet perfume in smoky amber notes, interwoven with almond jam and fig. The walls of the hut are adorned with old papyrus pictures from the communist period of this wonderful country. To complete the atmosphere I drip from the wood extracts oil to the burner and to complete the atmosphere I light it. I pour my self the warm cardamom water and sit down on the luxurious sofa in the center of the living room. This is how this perfect perfume smells to me.

Just got this one in today and was very excited to try it. I can say, this lives up to the hype. Incredibly unique and different while somehow also being mass appealing. My father, who is extremely picky about fragrances and only wears the most mass appealing ones you can find, gave this a thumbs up. It’s incredibly uplifting. It may be the most well blended fragrances I’ve ever smelled. The top notes all come out in this one without any overpowering another. In the middle you get a very beautiful fig and almond combo that I think most people will like. The woodiness of this one is there throughout the entire life of it, but it REALLY shines in the dry down. One of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelled in my life and I will cherish this one forever. It smells like sweet, ever so slightly smoky woods, with some freshness to it to add to the green nature vibes. A true work of art. Adi Ale Van has stolen my heart with this one.

This opened with a perfect hand sanitizer smell lol. Thankfully that quickly dried into a nice crisp green scent. The cardamom really rounds out the mint into something that's not overwhelmingly mentholated, more like the smell of newly cut ivy. After that, it becomes a smell that's really hard to place. It really reminds me of the wildflower prairies that grow near me, except it's not floral at all. It's just pleasant, warm and fresh.

Super nice minty and earthy smell, I smell no fig even though it's listed in its notes, you can't really smell anything besides the mint bit I find it very nice definitely a great summer scent, and no it does not smell like eros

It's like putting the most pungent and brutal mint in a mortar and beating it with a pestle. More than a natural vibe, it's as if you're being forcibly held in an extremely sterile hospital environment. Even though it's supposed to be “Ode to the hippie generation”, it has nothing to do with the hippie style. I can't get the fig note, but there is something that I guess is papyrus or I feel it because of the vetiver. Pineapple, if it's there, is also overwhelmed by the tyrannical mint that never wants to go away. I'll wear it one day when I'm craving mint. Hai Hui: "Etymology: Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish (hay hay). Romanian: haihui; distracted, carelessly, without a goal " I don't think so. On the contrary, the vibe is vigilant and tense . Flower: What flower? Where??? Edit: Now I like it.

If you’ve ever picked a dandelion, and got some of the juice inside the stem on your hand. That’s what the opening of this fragrance smells like. There is also a hint of mint and citrus. Then it later dries down to a more woody, deep, dark grassy-mossy smell and the mint gets stronger and the citrus disappears.

I don't have much to say for this scent. It's different with a very strong mint and almost smells like you're in the woods. I like it, but not enough for a full bottle.

Here's my take on Hai Hui: Don't let these notes deceive you. If you're not a fan of mint, DO NOT buy this fragrance. It has an extremely potent fresh synthetic menthol accord. While this is only mentioned as a top note; it is significantly present during the dry down. This fragrance could be perfect... However it's missing the sweet component. Pineapple and fig is not present to me. Leaving this scent to be a 1 dimensional menthol smell. The woody base notes are apparent but quite muted and unimpressive. I was really looking forward to the black pepper notes and papyrus base, i'm yet to locate this scent as well. I hope that Adi tinkers with the percentages and gives it a sweented, citrusy boost.

One of my least favorites from Adi. I thought it would be a perfume where you would smell a lot of fig but in the end I don't smell it at all, just like the pineapple. To my nose I smell more of the almond but the raw side of the almond (shell of the almond) with papyrus which adds a dry side. For me it's more of an autumn scent.

Minty, earthy, cardamom and lots of almond. The almond/mint combo is a bit weird. Not something that really moves me and does not smell exquisitely blended either. After some time this became like chemical warfare, gosh it just burns my nose, not nice at all.

A VERY aromatic, green, woody scent. To be honest I dont know what I was expecting but this didnt hit the mark for me. By no means do i think it is a bad fragrance, its just very particular. Overall it smells like you are on camp, in the forest.

this is very minty but in an earthy, peppery way rather than a fresh way. literally smells like wet soil. i think it's way too sharp and earthy to be wearable. interesting nonetheless.
