Agua de Bambu

I received this today, I payed like 1.66 eur for a 10 ml official sample. I like it, it is not a high class fragrance so I recommend it to someone who starts in this hobby or to someone like me who bought it for almost no money...my rating, if bought in 100 ml under 20 eur: 7 out of 10 words to describe it: generic, nice but uninspiring, forgettable

Very nice smelling fragrance although a little bit simple/generic. It's strong in lemon and some green notes. I find it suitable for mixing with another simple fragrance, it goes well with oak/vanilla/leather notes.

This takes the Bambu DNA and freshens it even further. Very light and refreshing. Unfortunately, not long lasting. Still, a very nice fragrance and very well priced.

Very nice hidden gem. Not your ordinary freshie, solid presentation and decent 5 hour performance. Very natural smelling as well the notes are very accurate.

This is that kind of fragrance that you can't really hate because it's good. But good in the way of generic fresh. I can't fault it. It smells fresh and balanced, and masculine. But it doesn't wow. It doesn't give me a clear image of someone, what I always refer to as character. A fragrance should be a product of it's time and stand out in a good way. Or else it's just like a air freshener or splash on cologne in the mens room. You can see where I'm going with this. But it's not to say it isn't great! If this would pull compliments, I would wear it religiously because the fragrance is pleasing and easy to like. It reminds me of no other in particular but many cheaper freshies. The bambu in the box and smell tells me this is inspired by Kenzo. And it's a bit woody and oriental. A green profile which gives the usual gentleman, fresh, unassuming vibe that doesn't give off sexy vibes but rather mature and positive vibes. Edit: The dry down actually picks up, it smells better now. More warm and spicy, more TEA which I love. It morphs into a less sweet version of Eau De Cedré by Armani. This could actually be good, I will revisit with final judgement after more testing.

Blind buy, never heard of Adolfo Dominguez. I bought this and Bambú Radiant Edition Hombre, which for me was a muted/subdued knock off of Dior's Fahrenheit. Simply put, Agua de Bambu strikes with me as a muted/subdued version of Montblanc Starwalker - and I am not complaining. This does not feel like something you can overspray either, which is appreciated as I tend to be heavy handed.
