Agua Fresca Citrus Cedro

Agua Fresca Citrus Cedro by Adolfo Domínguez is a citrus, spicy and woody fragrance. Its opening is very citrusy and sparkling, accompanied by fresh spices, such as ginger and pink pepper, this phase immediately attracts. After a couple of hours the smell increase the presence of musk , cedar and a little cumin, in that phase reminds me some of Declaration by Cartier, but less fine. Citrus Cedro is a fragrance for using in hot days, casual outputs, o every time because is a very versatil. If you want a cheapy fragrance very refreshing, this is a very good choice. Its longevity with me has been very good to be a fresh fragrance, 8 or more hours and with good performance in sillage the first three hours, but every skin is different, so you must try it before you buy. I recommend this fragrance for people who likes perfumes such as Declaration by Cartier, Dior Homme Cologne or Mercedes Benz Cologne.

This was another one of my finds in Spain. If you are a fan of citrus day time scents this is for you. A fun citrus not too bright scent . At first it's a lemon, verbena , slight grapefruit slight sugar salty scent . Once it settles the woody cedar mellows it all out and brings it together . I do get the slight ginger that kind of keeps it packing that punch enhancing the citrus as the top nots mellow out. The cedar has a light musk and even lighter amber that just enough to balance out all the citrus scents . Excellent summer scent or for a warm day. I was using this as my daily for work but being in the US this isn't easy to get and I don't really trust online retailers for this. This fragrance is excellent. Smells super clean. If you are ever traveling through Europe, pick some up. This is a good, affordable alternative to Dior Homme Cologne. It's a tad soapier than Dior (it may be the verbena and the wood here) and the lemon is not as sharp at the top as in Mercedes Benz Cologne (another excellent alternative to Dior Homme Cologne). Agua Fresca Citrus Cedro is just as refreshing and just as wonderful as Dior and MB. In higher spray concentrations on one area of the skin, a slight Bazooka Joe bubblegum smell is perceptible which I enjoy because it brings me back memories of my childhood. The bubblegum vibe disappears quickly (a few minutes) giving way to freshly squeezed lemons. Overall, very nice. Highly recommended!... but difficult to find in North America.

Awesome fragrance. You can find it around 25$ in Latin America or Europe and for that price it offers incredible value. A very refreshing citrus scent, perfect for very hot summer days. Smells like some kind of sweet lemonade, I almost want to drink it. Longevity is around 5-6 hours on my skin and that's impressive for this kind of citrus forward summer fragrance. Sillage is very decent with almost 1 meter forward for the first 2 hours, and I continually get fragrance wafts for the full 5 to 6 hours, specially if you spray on clothes like you should. Like I said at the beggining, for this price point, this fragrance offers incredible value if you're looking for a refreshing summer option and enough versatility to use on spring or autumn. Go and try this ASAP.

A mi naríz una deliciosa fragancia cítrica amaderada con especias y que muestra que no se ocupa mucho para hacer algo bueno. Aplica la regla de "menos es más". Cítricos de buena calidad, no sé si declare bergamota pero me recuerda un poco a la mezcla de ese ingrediente junto con jengibre y almizcle de Acqua di Parma Bergamoto di Calabria. Pero con los toques de la pimienta rosa y el cedro lo hacen a mi parecer masculino. Diurna perfecta para climas cálidos al aire libre. Un EDT algo íntimo en cuánto a estela pero de buena duración, lo veo unisex más cercano a masculino, versátil y precio moderado. Gracias.

Call me crazy but this to me smells like Louis Vuitton Imagination minus the Ambroxan and make it EDT. Same rich base - citrus, cypress, wood, ambery/musky in the dry down. Of course longevity is lower, but I get 3 hours of freshness from it and I’m quite happy. The price tag for the quality makes it a great deal, I got it for under 30€. After owning it for a month in summer I’m obsessed. Also perfect sport fragrance for me.

Out of the box: When you want a fragrance that is affordable and optimal for everyday use then this is one of the true winners. A lot better than Legend Spirit and Nautica Voyage. Smells like Dior Homme Cologne but just about 75%, because this is woody, and a little stronger. Really fresh note of lemon with the volume of wood. Will update later.

Unbelievable smells divine and £40 for 200ml delivered from Spain absolute bargain, citrus heaven just classy and will No doubt will my dumb reach for gym, shops, if you want to smell fresh and clean just buy this trust me you won’t be disappointed, one of the best blind buys ever no point even getting a decant it’s that cheap.

It pleasantly surpresed me! An excellent cost-benefit for the scorching heat. It reminds me, both in the smell and the color of the bottle, of the village of Trancoso on the Brazilian coast. When I have the luck to return to that paradise, I won't forget to include this gem in my luggage.

Really fresh, citrusy. It's somewhat in the same area with Dior Homme Cologne; not saying they smell the same, but if you like that one, you'll enjoy this one too. Longevity is decent, 5-6 hours. Projection is good for the first 1-2 hours.

Yes, very similar to Dior Homme Cologne, but I find it less linear. The woods and spices add a certain depth. As danshobiz says, it is more rounded than DHC. Lasts longer than expected with good projection. Price point is nice as well.

In Europe I got this for 22 euros 60ml. Maybe best price for this high quality citrus. I think this is close but better than Artisan Pure John Varvatos and cheaper.

Initial sniff is about 85-90% Dior Homme to me, after a few minutes woods and cumin come in. To me this is a less fizzy, a bit more serious but still fresh and bright Dior Homme. Smells pretty balanced and has some depth from woods and cumin, it's also stronger than initially expected but I'm yet to test the longetivity and projection in different temperatures and activities. Overall a very solid fresh citrusy frag with a woody base, low price for a good looking 200ml bottle with decent atomizer. I'd say unisex, moderately masculine leaning. Would recommend it as a blind buy as long as you know how cumin smells and blends with these notes because otherwise there's nothing anyone wouldn't like about this fragrance. Update: after testing it more the only thing I don't think belongs here is the cumin which stands out too much and makes scent feel a bit dirty when it hits the back your throat, still a very good frag but I believe for many people the cumin might break this.

The opening delivers a clean, slightly zesty and well-balanced citrus. It avoids excess and gimmicks, and doesn’t aim to impress with power or extravagance, but rather with simplicity and natural clarity. What stands out most, in my opinion, is the evolution: instead of fading into something soapy or overly musky, the blend of grapefruit, ginger, mint and pink pepper stays present for a surprisingly decent amount of time, supported by a well-integrated dry cedar base. In the drydown, it leaves a personal aura: fresh, masculine and distinctive that projects presence without overwhelming. It doesn’t offer twists or surprises, but it delivers what it promises with coherence and consistency. An ideal summer signature scent for daily use in warm weather: sober, elegant, functional and versatile. At this price point, it’s definitely worth considering.

This house has some solid frags and this is one of their best. Very bright citrus mixed with spices that turns this into a more sophisticated type of "freshie". The comparison with Dior Cologne is spot on, and it immediately popped in my head when i sniffed this for the first time. Quite natural smelling too, no harshness or anything like that. Great bang for your buck pickup if you are looking for an alternative to the Dior fragrance or just want a more mature but still modern freshie for the spring/summer.

I like everything about his fragrance. I paid under 20 Euros during the pandemic for 230ml. Value = HIGH. The bottle is simple and handsome and a gorgeous shade of blue green. The impeccable fragrance is warm yet citrusy, and just the kind of cologne you can wear all year round - with no aquatics! The price has jumped to 50 even 70+ euros for this size, in Switzerland, so that sucks. I find it a calming citrus, not energising. It's quite green and bit woody.

This is quite pleasant, similar to Dior Homme Cologne. 26 euros for 230 ml isn't bad either. The downside is that it's not long lasting, but neither is Dior Homme Cologne.

Major disappointment. This perfume is the weakest I've ever come across, I mean it's really gone after 10 seconds, and then a really close skin scent. Almost imperceptible. I'm hoping this is a case of nose blindness but I've never experienced it this badly so probably not. My second issue is the scent itself is nothing like the notes. I get a dirty musky orange and that's all. I bought this from a recognised retailer so I don't think it's a fake bottle. I'm hoping there's just problems with its maceration and it gets better with time.

It makes me remember Chanel Allure Cologne, i like it, smells like bergamot soda, the price is not cheap costs 1/3 of a Chanel, must try both face to face, because reformulations makes compositions simplier in both similarities. But it fades after 30 min, a pity, i am not fan of bergamot but if grapefruit would be more present to improve longevity and sparklingness, would buy it, shame

I got a bottle recently and been testing out since a week or so. It's an amazing citrus flanker of the original Agua Fresca! I was expecting more of a Dior Homme Cologne or Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne clone but I can confidently tell you that this is not. Also testing side by side with Mercedes Cologne and Zara Vibrant Leather Summer, this is still a unique blend on its own. Surely with citruses it's impossible not to be reminded of another fragrance, Agua Fresca Citrus Cedro is carrying the original Agua Fresca DNA deep down, has more punch on the vetiver note, and I clearly get the cumin, dosed in the right amount that it doesn't step onto "sweaty" side. Also the original Agua Fresca DNA gives this one a more mature vibe, rather than the usual citrus playfulness. There are bits and pieces that reminds me of Creed's Himalaya or Green Irish Tweed, but really hidden behind the citrus-vetiver layer. I think this is only visible in contrast doing side-by-side testing. Towards drydown it even reminds me of the Versace Eau Fraiche a bit, with cedar and Iso E Super layer is more prominent. Really impressed, I feel as if testing an Acqua di Parma Colonia flanker.

This opens with a sunny and juicy ripe citrus vibe that is not overly tart and quite pleasant, if not completely natural. Then a touch of spices and vague woodiness. I tested it on one arm vs Dior Homme Cologne on the other. Yes, it’s slightly more masculine feeling than Dior’s, somewhat more rounded, and lasts a bit longer. We’re talking maybe a couple of hours vs 1.5 for DHC on me. Overall, nothing groundbreaking and I doubt I’ll replenish my bottle when it’s empty. I find it’s inferior to the Aqua Fresca from the same house which I own and enjoy. Update 6/28/2021: I've revisited this one and have to update my rating a bit higher to very good. It's masculine and fresh yet subtle, and a very nice dumb reach for high heat/humidity climates like mine.

I don't understand the Dior Homme Cologne comparisons at all. This smells like a citrus dominant flanker of the OG Agua Fresca, and shares that fragrance's DNA more than Dior Homme Cologne. The grapefruit and cumin/pink pepper combo in this sets it apart from Dior Homme Cologne's use of straight up citrus ie bergamot/grapefruit, and it doesn't have the same "type" of "fresh laundry/linen" musk as the Dior. I would genuinely choose this over Dior Homme Cologne even if they were priced the same. This isn't as linear as the Dior. The cumin, pink pepper, and ginger give it more substance and personality. This is a certified summer banger. 8/10

I find the amber very perceptible in this, which suppresses the more delicate citrus & mint and moves it slightly away from the icy feel of Dior Homme Cologne. The cumin is indeed present, like some cumin seeds dry roasting in a pan, alongside some spiky pink pepper. As a result, I'm not finding this as summery as DHC. It's more like a clean but warm, spicy cedar. Very good but I need to give it time to grow on me. Spanish budget perfumery is excellent. Update: This has too much of an 'amberwood' note for me to wear it.

Some people have a hard time wrapping their heads around that this smells good, is adequately priced, mostly natural oli... I'll say it again: mostly natural oil. Officially declared @ 90%! All these designer fragrances people are using are mostly chemicals. The idea of having a everyday fresh and clean fragrance that is natural is the way to go. There are more quality fragrances in this line for colder like "Vetiver Tierra". Perfume house founded in 1970s in Spain

Absolutely right RobK, the first scent I remember was Dior Homme Cologne, cause I had it :) Besides I found this more suitable for long and hot work days.

Smells almost identical to Dior home cologne with a slightly woody note that comes at the end in the dry down a steal at the price
