Agua Fresca

Agua Fresca feels so airy, light and natural. This fragrance comes off so naturally organic like it is held together by the thinnest of threads, and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. Agua fresca opens earthy and sweet with a faint bit of citrus. Upon the first spray this scent comes off fresh and very unique. The petitgrain, vetiver and lavender transition to the marjoram, juniper and pine in a very organic way like a breeze. As the scent progresses the rosemary bergamot and sing through the initial herby blast, and there is some faint oakmoss to give a bit of green roundness to the scent. Agua Fresca feels like a morning walk from the woods to the beach, and its truly calming. This fragrance feels like Monterey or Stinson beach to me and really gets me a bit nostalgic. As the scent dries down the pepper, a bit of mandarin, musk, sandalwood and patchouli give this scent a nice soapy creamy base (it has a barbershop vibe). As for the scent being held together by a string... well I say this because the composition of this scent seems so natural so effortless so slight that it could almost disappear or fall apart at anytime. But it doesn't! In fact Agua fresca has average longevity on my skin and moderate projection. Agua Fresca feels very fresh, clean and breezy. This scent encapsulates a stroll on the beach beautifully, and puts you right at ease with a few sprays in the morning. Give this scent a few sprays before a late morning brunch with friends on a terrace when the sun shines as much as the smiles on your friends faces.

The experience of Agua Fresca is similar to the experience of the picture on the label: Of a small brook or creek near the edge (or perhaps in the middle of) a small forest. AF starts out a dry, herby mix. I get an initial blast of soft petitgrain, marjoram and artemesia. I don't get much mandarin orange, but I do smell the latent juniper up front, as well. There's a slight pepper to this, with just a tinge of sweetness coming from the lavender. But the middle notes are, overall, similar to the rest of the fragrance itself: dry, herbaceous, slightly green. During the dry down I get some pine, sandalwood and musk. But it's fairly light and mostly gone after a few hours. The only downside to this is it's too short lasting. You instantly want more of this as soon as you smell it. Two thumbs up!

This is a very popular scent in Spain since the 90's when it was released, you can find it even in supermarkets. I had not smelled it since long ago, even though I think some relatives used this in the past, but today I stopped in front of a tester and sprayed it again and... how good it is!!! It does not smell outdated, loud or cheapo at all. Vetiver and lavender stand out but I think that are their surrounding notes what makes the difference. Agua Fresca is quite aromatic and woody but far of being agressive it results lush and tender at a time, with certain sweetness... absolutely crisp and delicious! It is funny I have appreciated this little gem after so long. The power of perfumes will never cease to amaze me.

The top reminds me of Armani Eau pour Homme. The heart reminds me of Lancetti Homme (aka Lui). The drydown reminds me of Monsieur, still by Lancetti. What a journey, what a gem! I got a large 260ml (!!) splash bottle for under $30 shipped... a big win in my book and probably for anyone who loves timeless citrus-aromatic fragrance, with a piney/mossy/woody base. Performance is on the modest side, but at current pricing, anyone can afford to overspray! Highly recommended. Best worn in Spring/Fall days than hot summer ones imo, 30+

Mediterraneo is a complete different fragrance than Agua Fresca, lol! First of all Mediterraneo is a 'woody aromatic' and Agua Fresca an 'aromatic fougere'! The notes are completely different and so is the smell. Both are very fresh fragrances mainly for winter and summer which is the only comparison! I know both and own Agua Fresca which is way stronger and longer lasting; actually Mediterraneo is very bad on longevity. Not to be compared actually! Agua Fresca is much much better!

My boyfriend got a small sample of it a few years ago and he loved it so much that he only used the sample for special occasions. Later, I got him the big bottle as a gift and he was so happy. He claims it smells like an European business man on his way to an important meeting. I think it smells fresh, clean, classy and really really expensive. It has this depth that other fragrance just don't and yet - it is really light and airy. I really recommend this fragrance. It is so good!

My husband bought this in Menorca about 5 yrs ago now, when we went back last year, he bought another bottle and so did my son who was 9 at the time, I love the aroma and also it does not invade your space as some fragrances do, I absolutely love the scent and how it lingers, and after washing a jumper belonging to my son I could still smell the fragrance from it......it does have a soft soapy fragrance but it is just divine. I often sneak a spray myself occasionally .

When I got it first it was just another subtle, office friendly, warm weather, barbershop cologne in my collection. Now the bottle is half empty and I suddenly had the realization that I love it for what it is.. a subtle, office friendly, warm weather barbershop cologne. Loving it more and more each passing day. What I have noticed with this scent is that people go "what's that nice smell?" rather than saying your perfume smells nice.

September 1 has gone on sale in Spain the new version Extreme Agua Fresca bottle with a dark blue and silver label . The new fragrance is more autumnal night with hints of fir tree , rosemary, marine aldehydes and violet leaves . The detectable note is violet and is a somewhat strange fragrance . It does not look anything like the original version of 1993 which has fresh Mediterranean touches.

Bought this in ~2012 for Rs. 3500 (45-50 USD) expensive for me, in Shopper Stop, India, Still have it, was looking for a childhood memory of English Leather Timberline Cologne. The smell is way too warm. Wood, sandalwood, spices, and patchouli is what I recognize. I avoid it in the summers at +30°C as it makes me feel uncomfortably warmer. Great when it is cold and raining.

Very good fragrance and very classic here in Spain . This fragrance casts a very formal, clean, natural look . It smells of Mediterranean landscape with Aleppo and umbrella pines in a day with plenty of sunshine and warm spring . The bottle design is comfortable , simple and very nice. Too bad this possesses a mediocre sillage , but still give it a 8/10 .

A great smelling fragrance. Well named: Fresh Water. it smells, light, clean and refreshing like a blast of fresh water. works in the office, running errands or for a day at the beach. Inoffensive and versatile like Muegler Cologne and 4711 but with better longevity. the price point is icing on the cake.

A pure excellent classic. Very aromatic mixed with spices and herb like scent. I have experienced 12+ hrs of longevity and great silage. I have to say the projection is awesome. If your body generates decent heat this fragrance will be there for you lifelong. Thumbs Up!

I bought a 60ml bottle from a online portal delivering internationally(its not available in India). Pack was sealed and well packed and looked completely new. There are 2 label designs (for 60ml pack) when you lookup the product online 1.With complete tree landscape on single panel, including EAU DE TOILETTE (EAN code:841090811393 - checked online) 2.With a truncated tree design truncated, EAU DE TOILETTE on a separate panel below that (EAN code:841090612655) I have received the 2nd one. Wanted to check whether its old bottle having undergone design change or pack design for some specific country/market or a duplicate one.

I blind bought this, and it's quite nice. A classy mediterranean cologne. It's actually very reminiscent of platinum egoiste, but with a focus on citron in the opening. The projection and longevity is obviously weaker than the chanel but for a 10th of the price it's a steal. If you're looking for a cheap aromatic freshie and you aren't afraid of more mature leaning scents, I'd recommend this. The packaging and flacon are very nice for the price, minimalistic with a wooden cap.

Bitter citrus and clary sage to start. This last for roughly 20 minutes then I get some soft Rosemary and Juniper with light citrus. After the 60 minute mark it's a skin scent on me with Pine, Vetiver and soft woods. I find it to be very nice but not long lasting. It's similar to Houbigant's Fougère Royale with the Houbigant being A LOT better from start to finish. For the price I would say it's a safe blind buy for casual or office use at under $40 US. Enjoy!

Agua Fresca: I like it very much. It is definitely for men. Fresh, pleasant, Mediterranean. This reminds me a lot the Harley Davidson Legendary and that makes me extra happy!! I wish it could last a little longer. Better use it on warm weather. After a shave, spray it on the face and feel the summer scenery - on one side the beach - on the other side the pine and olive trees!! For approx £22 it is worth for certain!

Agua Fresca is classified as an aromatic fougere. However, to me, it straddles the line between citrus aromatic and a fougere. It is perfect for warmer weather and daytime use. Unfortunately, it's not easy to find in the US. I picked up a 60ml bottle for €24 in Spain.

Very classic, italian style fragrance. At first sniff, Armani Pour Homme came to mind but without the spicy aspect. Instead this goes to a lighter and aromatic feel. Perfect for summer and spring days. Quite refreshing and invigorating.

@JhaNikhil This is the current design, bottles sold in Europe (120 ml as well) also have the truncated design and a separate label with "Eau de toilette". But I can't tell if it means a reformulated perfume.

Fresh Unique safe buy Layer it with other Vetivers scents, but not TF GV. May layer with Encre Noir or TDH. Good for outdoor cafe, early evening. Casual Not recommended for office, as does not last long.

Super fresh, a bit cold. Reminds me of lily of the valley, but not in the sweet way. The opening is really like a barber shop in old town. That's a light fragrance for grown up boys.

Agua Fresca is like a colonia-style (EDC) lite version of Platinum Egoiste, but with added citrus top notes (there's a BIG lemon/citrus burst on the opening) and much more soapy. Don't get me wrong, they do not smell the same at all, but they definitely share certain similarities. This has got to be one of the most "bucolic" fragrances I've ever smelled. It really smells like a rural Northern Iberia holiday up in España Verde ("Green Spain") or even a Mediterranean European holiday in general. It smells like the best, most authentic parts of a Mediterranean holiday: those lazy vacation days when you're just aimlessly walking around and you haven't got anything planned, mingling with the locals, sitting down at a plaza cafe table for a carajillo, blue skies, slight breeze, sunshine. That "metallic" '90s sheen so classically associated with Platinum Egoiste is also in this, just to a much lesser extent. However, unlike PE, Agua Fresca goes almost slightly "creamy barbershop" in the dry down, heading in a quite soapy direction, whereas PE does not veer into the "creamy" barbershop style and stays a herbal fougere throughout. I appreciate the faint but definitely detectable oak moss in Agua Fresca's dry down as well. Agua Fresca is also "flatter" than PE. PE has that unmistakable "sharpness". PE is "ghostly" and "ephemeral" in the way it radiates so elegantly off the skin, yet still manages to have decent performance/longevity. Agua Fresca takes that to a whole other level and is extremely light, almost a skin scent as soon as you spray it, which is extremely disappointing. The performance/longevity just isn't here compared to even new batches of PE, which themselves don't have the greatest longevity. So that's saying something... Don't know whether my batch is a dud/re-formulated, but I'm only getting around 1.5 hours tops before this becomes a skin scent. A massive shame as this honestly smells great. Platinum Egoiste is my favorite fragrance of all time, and Agua Fresca definitely slots into that same '90s herbal fougere scent family. It's a wonderfully natural-smelling juice, nothing astringent or horribly artificial in this at all. This would be an absolute home run office fragrance. Classy and professional. A world away from the current trend of bubblegum, overly sweet "male" fragrances that the TikTok sheep mindlessly eat up. You will smell like a man wearing this. However, it just doesn't have the legs to last a full work day; in fact, I don't even think it would make it through the morning commute. This is an 8/10 in terms of the actual scent, downgraded to a 7/10 because of the woeful performance. Extremely frustrating. Smells like: If someone bottled "cloudless blue skies, warm sunshine and a refreshing breeze" Edit: I never layer fragrances, but I've found this pairs perfectly with Terre d'Hermes EDT and smells phenomenal. Both layered together creates an entirely new fragrance that I would genuinely buy if it were bottled. If you own both of these, go ahead and try it out, then thank me later.

This has so much Spain in it. At least what I've seen of Spain. The laundry in the inner yards, the old neighborhoods where the cafes still look like the 70's or the 80's with their wall tiles and dusty memorabilia behind the bar. Lavender and Castille soap, short-haired grandmothers, entrances of apartment buildings, internet cafes where they still exist, groceries. I'm not talking about "natural" smells here, on the contrary, it's the quintessence of various detergents, cleaning agents, barbershops and what not, but still, so much Spain. Strange, because when I first saw the bottle and smelled the juice, it seemed like a classic cologne from 60 years ago. But it takes a little zoom-in, and there are all the notes from the 90's: metallic, synthetic-herbal, a bit aquatic even. And to me, this just adds more to the atmosphere that I'm talking about. Everyday life. I appreciate it for what it is.

A village in Andalusia surrounded by dry pine forests. Herbs from a happy young housewife’s garden - rosemary, marjoram, lavender, artemisia - are drying in the cottage rafters. It doesn’t rain often here but a clear, cold stream passes near the village - runoff from the nearby mountains - and keeps the people and livestock watered. Projection is subtle - a decent country gentleman does not assault others with his fragrance - and longevity good. Masculine - a little citrus but mainly herb and woods - but this is less Antonio Banderas or Don Juan and more a chivalrous, rural callabero. A good man. For those afraid of oakmoss and its association with 1980s masculine powerhouses, don't worry: if anything, this goes in a completely different direction to fragrances such as Tsar and Polo. Rustic, bucolic, nostalgic and unique, I love Agua Fresca.

I just read that Ramon Monegal was the nose behind Agua Fresca, and I thought this could be interesting for the lovers of this creation to know. I have my reasons to dislike the brand, but I confess I like this fragrance and I think it is everything the overly citrusy Acqua di Giò should be and is not. Indeed, it smells more like a luscious Mediterranean paradise (the wild aromatic herbs growing by the beach, the sun shining on the moist earth...) than Armani's largely overrated concoction.

Ideal para comenzar el día, para después de la ducha. Dicen que las aguas de colonia se deben poner también cerca de la boca y la ropa, no duden. Tiene una partida de citrus, pero no el clásico sintético, algo verde, algo fougere diría y con resina o pino al final. Accesible y de larga duración, y eso si, con olor distinguible a hombre. Una de las pocas fragancias actuales que realmente funcionan como perfume masculino.

Soooo good. (40yo guy here, fanatic for barbershops.) Great fragrance for work. For office? No, cause it doesn't last that 8h needed. For home office? Bingo! Spray a lot and get your desired whiffs my friend! It's kind of between a citric cologne and a fresh vetiver scent. ("KIND"). Not that shaving creamish, more like that soapish aspect". Imho

Picked this up Spain, so good Smells like a mixture of fresh citrus and barbershop shaving cream. Sort of along the lines of Platinum Egoist, with a aqua burst Smell: 8/10 Longetivity:6/10 Sillage: 6/10 Overall : 8/10 (minus the projection issues)

I thought it was a women fragrance and I purchased it in December. I'll give it to my husband as "an extra present" next Sunday. Don't you think they should have told me it was a fragrance for men? Anyway, some of you say women can wear it...

This is gorgeous. Soft, woods with a lovely light but clean dry down. A comforting, masculine fragrance. There's something classic about it.

Love the Citrusy fresh.. But Apprently dont find it last more then 4 Hours. While people claim 8+ Hours here. Might be my Skin!
