Ébano Salvia

Woody, amber, citrus, sandalwood, malty notes, vanilla, honey, anis. Beer? Tangerine, grassy, vetiver, more amber, iris? More woods, orange peel, ginger? Clean and detergent-like as a skin scent. Different certainly. Performance: subtle projection, lasts a fair amount of time as a clean skin scent. Masculine, good for anyone 20+, fine for the office, more of a day scent IMO. Smells a bit like solo loewe, but not a close clone.

Like almost all the Adolfo Dominguez fragrances, price/quality is insane in comparison with other designers. Woodsy, slighly sweet & charming, it is natural smelling, has kind of a throwback feel to it, I can't point a fragrance to compare this with, I'm tempted to say this is a blue fragrance, it fits any cirscumstance really. This is a mess of a review but this fragrance is difficult to describe accurately.

For the price it's a good scent, I do get surprisingly realistic wood notes through the beginning of each spray which lead on the dry down to what is pretty much a classical fougère but sweeter and earthier, it's not a complex scent but it's good enough that you catch yourself reaching for it often if you're into it. And reach for it often you will as it has the worst performance out of all the recent Adolfo Dominguez releases, adding up that they're marketing it as an EDP. Top notes disappear in seconds, it never projects and you end up with a linear skin scent that lasts fairly long but can only be sensed if you press your nose against your skin. Also two things worth mentioning, it's called Ebony Sage and it has neither in the current formula, and the sprayer on mine got clogged after some light use and now it just squirts.

This is a ridiculously stupid good scent profile for it's price. Ofcourse it doesnt last.. Not a standout, somewhat subdued but sexy nonetheless
