Viaje a Ceylan

I like this perfume. It smells clean, woody , pepper and comfortable . The sillage and projection are average for the price. I do not understand the hatred by which costs 22 € EDT 100 ml .

I got it today, I can indeed feel the woods and spices of it. It is not a highly sophisticated fragrance but I find it to be more appropriate for those more formal situations. It is an ok fragrance specially for beginners...nothing worthy if you are into fragrances and have already some NICHE ones...specially if it costs more than 20 eur... if bought at a great price (less than 15-20 eur) I may rate it as a 7 or 8 out of 10...it does not smell bad, the smell is somehow interesting to be honest...but it should not WOW anybody...

@thiefofnoses: wonderful point of view. The concept of viaje a ceylan is a trip to a remote and exotic land, a trip to the unknown. The overall idea, even the notes are great, a mix of acuatic notes, spices, citrus and exotic woods like mahogany or ebony but sadly it does not fulfil my expectations. Starts citrusy and spicy with sea notes, very generic. After 15 min. it becomes more mature, some woods like mahogany kick in (if I remember correctly is the same woody smell as lancôme miracle pour homme that contains mahogany). At this point is like a fresh-woody after shave kind of smell. Then the drydown continues more woody and sweet with an aquatic base. Longevity: About 5 hours on my skin Projection: poor/average Overall: 4/10 Good concept, but poorly executed.

Sorry but this is cheap and toooo synthetic. Light spices with citrus and nothing more but bad blended with "low cost" materials. A very forgetable scent.
