Terre de Vanille

My oh my, Terre De Vanille what a decadent beauty you are. A rich, sensual, deep-voiced, elegant woman with vanilla flowers in her hair. This has been my go-to this winter. What a unique fragrance. Thank you, Adopt!

It’s a very thick, milky vanilla scent, sprinkled with a few spices. Extremely lactonic, to the point where it can sometimes feel a bit cloying to me - that’s a personal issue, as I love the smell of milky fragrances but don’t always tolerate them very well on my skin. Used sparingly, though, it remains pleasant, and it can work nicely for layering. The sillage and longevity are excellent, especially for the price. It will definitely please those who enjoy milky, slightly oriental vanilla fragrances. As for the comparison with HP, I personally don’t find them similar at all - the Dior is much lighter, not lactonic but rather powdery, and the vanilla is completely different.

It is a very decent cheapie, with some resemblance to the Blanche Bete DNA. It's creamy and dense but definitely less milky/coconutty/tuberose'y than Blanche Bete. Instead we have slightly bitter almonds - as a result, the profile changes from lactonic to nutty and goes into the Hypnotic Poison direction. Still something potentially likeable for Blanche Bete fans, but not a clone by any means. For me this is a thick, cold-weather easy reach type of scent. Not too sweet, but still very dense and overall heavy due to the nuttiness. Quite boring, frankly speaking, but a great alternative for designer stuff like Hypnotic Poison and definitely a great value for money.

I truly don't understand this scent, it has all the notes I love and that's why I blind bought it but oh my god, absolutly not. it gives me an instant headache, it's super strong and overwhelming and I don't smell any of those notes, the dry down is even worse
