AV Glamour

These reviews are for AV Glamour Passionate and AV Midnight Blossom since I don't see these in the database. AV Glamour Passionate has the following description listed on a different website: "A woody fragrance for contemporary women sweet, warm, lightly smoky, sophisticated and charismatic. Contains notes of leather, ginger, tonka bean, musk, white woods, caramel saffron." I get none of that with my unsophisticated nose, but I do get a soft fruitchouli fragrance that is very appealing. There is some powder in there, and a light floral of some type. Darn my uneducated nose! Just let me say this: it is light on the top, dark and sexy on the bottom - quite something for the price! I would absolutely wear it on a date night. AV Midnight Blossom has the following description: "Inspired by the mysterious transformation of a midnight flower in bloom, this seductive scent opens with exotic red pepper and rich deep florals. A romantic heart adds depth to the velvety center, textured with smooth musks and warm woods. Enveloping black leather and addictive patchouli creates an irresistible nuance that is enduring and memorable." So, I get a little something different. A sweet musky floral that transitions into a powdery, soft wood. Luscious scent with depth and dimension at a very affordable price. Any Adrienne Vittadini fragrance that I've tried has been a pleasant surprise. They are safe, inoffensive, lovely perfumes that are inexpensive but don't smell cheap at all. I fully expected to get an Aqua Velva vibe after a while, but none of them break down into anything unappealing. Safe blind buys imo.

I own a few of Adrienne Vittadini's perfumes, and really enjoy them. This one is a soft lovely feminine floral. I don't think the longevity is there, but it is affordable enough to refresh during the day if desired and is non-offensive in every way. The AV Midnight Blossom is my favorite of this house.

My review is for Midnight Blossom, lol. At first smell: I get the stone fruits, a heavy floral essence, and patchouli. This is ok--quite surprised that it's not listed here. Midnight Blossom is a bold, powerhouse. A great value for the money. It provides great longevity and projection. The dry down is a patchouli musk. This is NOT a safe blind buy--but, in my opinion, it is worth taking the risk because of the great price point. Collectors collect, right? Lol Although I decided to wear this fragrance to work this morning, I believe it to be most appropriate for nighttime activities. If you know a no-nonsense lady who loves patchouli and plums--pick this up for her. I paid very little for the gift set. Contained in it were a lotion, and a huge bottle of Midnight Blossom. This is not a fragrance that I'll constantly reach for--but I'm glad to have it in my collection.

It’s nice but,,, AV Glamor sounds like it could be a luxe fragrance as it contains the word. ‘glamor’. There is nothing glamorous about it. It’s cheap, it’s cheerful, and very light. A floral burst and then bang it’s gone and I need to spray a bit more to make sure I am actually wearing a fragrance. The cap is a cheap plastic which is meant to look like silver or stainless steel keeps falling off when I go to spray it and seems to look very much like Adrienne Vittadini’s AV perfume. I am not sure what that fragrance smells like. It’s an ok floral fragrance and perfect for bed or those who want a discreet fragrance but it’s nothing overly sexy nor memorable for me. Good for summer and spring time and ideal for those with a sensitive nose. Yeah it’s nice but ...won’t be repurchasing it again.

Unlike many gentle but sharp floral perfumes I’ve smelt, this one manages to have the nose tingling flowery smell you get in many Elizabeth Arden, Elizabeth Taylor, Jennifer Lopez and Alfred Sung perfumes, but it also has a very subtle underlying sweetness that makes it easier to wear. It is a tangy explosion at first (smells like Forever or the first spray of True Love!) but quite quickly dries down into a pretty, floral skin scent. It’s not purely Violet, the orchid is also holding it’s own! It’s a bit shampoo-like to my nose but not as harsh as some shampooey scents can be. I think it’s definitely recognisable as a flanker to AV as it’s quite similar, but it’s less complex and not as sweet as the original!
