AV Midnight Blossom

I love AV Midnight Blossom so much! This is a beautiful, lush, juicy & opulent orchid-y & berries & plums(even though I don't see these notes listed), scent with violet, orris & patchouli; Patchouli & Violet being the most dominant notes. It's more of a Floral-Chouli than anything. There aren't any fruit notes listed, but the violet florals and/or violet leaves are amped up upon something juicy & purple smelling, as if there must be fruits of some kind present. I also get a suede kind of note, as well. The overall vibe of this fragrance is sensual & generously dense & full bodied in an all out 1980's style, as many gems were then. It's linear but richly evocative. I purchased my bottle from TJ Maxx about 2 years ago for under $10 dollars & this is long lasting & creates a syrup-y scent bubble around you that is oh so very satisfying. This is a dense & enveloping scent. If DKNY Delicious Night & Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds Lustre combined, the result would be AV Midnight Blossom! I also think that Love by Sofia Vergara lends itself to aspects of this fragrance as well. I think that this scent leans feminine, though I am sure it can be enjoyed by men & unisex as well. I have also seen it available online at Fragrancex.com & Fragrancenet.com. I think AV Midnight Blossom is more suited to evening wear & semi formal events where strong & gorgeous scents would be welcomed. I also think that it can be enjoyed in all seasons & summer evenings, but may be too much on a summer day in high heat & humidity, or in an office setting. Or you can rock it, like we did in the 1980's, wearing heavy hitters everyday, everywhere, all at once. I received this by surprise when I went to visit my parents it was in my room waiting on me. I think this perfume is pretty, a bit mature but would be good for work, church. I smell the leather on my skin and rose not an overpowering perfume but not an easy reach for me either.

This is such a a beautiful scent, it's hard to describe. The first time I sprayed it, I felt there was plum and blackberries in it. But I don't see them in the notes, but it definitely smells exactly how it looks and sounds. A beautiful evening or daytime scent, soft, feminine, powdery, slightly sweet. I wear this to office, such an inoffensive scent. Reminds me of something similar my high school teacher wore. Such an affordable hidden gem too - got it at Burlington for $7.99.
