Holographic

Flower garden to start off with but yet again with this house the real magic happens in the dry down I kown this is gonna sount strange but I get a salty apple orchard with some floral aspects and I know there is no apples mentioned but this is what I get and it's a people safe pleaser

It reminds me of something...racking my memory for this...hm in any case, it’s a slightly odd combination/layering of almost gourmand sweetness with salty oceanic notes and a fruit/floral layer. Maybe that is what is meant by ‘Holographic’. To me, its not quite there yet - its like the start of a journey which then doesn’t go anywhere. Salty cotton candy - or maybe its more like a waffle cone than cotton candy - floral mango - wish there was more mango, or more something..anything - more definition and a more naturalistic layer giving some relief from the waffle dropped into the ocean near the pier with the sunbathing girls in their 20s getting a sunburn. There is also something a little screechy in the middle a la Estee Lauder’s Emerald Dream or 4160 Tuesdays Eat Flowers. I don’t hate it but its a pass from me. Would possibly appeal to a younger demographic.

I get mainly sweet fruity floral notes up front - some slightly 'fizzy' citrus and tropical fruit - with gourmand undertones from the tonka. The sea note adds a bit of an edge, but overall this is basically a slightly tropical leaning fruity-floral to my nose. As it progresses, it goes more balsamic, which is pretty nice. Unfortunately, late in the drydown I get a particular playdough-like note that I don't enjoy - I'm not certain, but I think this stems from the use of heliotropin. I'm torn on the question of price value for this one. It may not stand out in the niche market, and this kind of sweet fruity-floral is a familiar style amongst designer scents, but the quality is better than many. Considering how much designers are charging for their scents these days, on balance this one is probably ok.

Very fruity, floral and sweet up front, with a salty note following. I like it to begin with, it feels very summery and feminine. Unfortunately after wearing it for a half hour or so, the original elements seem to be gone and all I can smell are the woody notes, which to me is more like a generic aftershave than anything else.
