16a Orchard

I absolutely love 16a Orchard! The problem is, well, a couple things. It is a bit too similar to another love of mine that I already own--Chanel's Paris-Biarritz. Also it is VERY pricy for such a light type of fragrance. But it's also equally lemony, uplifting and fresh, which is totally addictive to me! Unlike Chanel, here I definitely get some starchy orris and a subtle musky, suede-y drydown. It's classy as heck. I could see it actually being a Chanel fragrance. Projection is soft and intimate, but it lasts several hours. It's really lovely! I see it as an easy daily reach. I'm trying to resist buying it, but the reality is that I'll probably cave. TBD. I don't find any similarities to Infusion d'Iris. They both contain Iris but that doesn't make them similar, as countless perfumes contain iris. 16a Orchard is so heavy on lemon/citrus and has a suede base. It's essentially a fresh citrus fragrance, while Prada is floral-woody. If you are keen on citrus perfumes as I am, but you do not want barbershop-style cologne, 16a Orchard is certainly one to try.

The opening is quite misleading; I genuinely thought I was smelling a Ginger Margarita at first; but then it fully reveals itself. To me, this is a very gentle skin musk built around an elegant iris and fresh citrus. It smells classy, refined, and quietly luxurious; expensive and posh in the most effortless way. Love at first wear. I’m an iris lover, and the iris here is deeply satisfying. It’s like picking up a freshly pressed shirt the moment it comes off the iron; clean, crisp, yet softly warm. This is the kind of fragrance that never lets you down. It works in elegant settings, fits perfectly in the office, feels right at dinners, cafés, and social occasions, and even suits outdoor activities. In short, it goes everywhere. Easily the most versatile piece in my collection. Note: The sillage is almost nonexistent, and the longevity isn’t great either...I still love it, though. Bewitching. Bubbling, spritzy ginger with an amber undertone. I loved it when I tried it at the Aedes de Venustas shop, but I find that I wear it sparingly because it is so ... specific. But I should try it more often...

Beautiful! Lovely Iris and Suede scent. Doesn’t project a lot, but it has great sillage and longevity. Very comforting smelling. Confidently unisex. I will be buying a bottle of this next.

I like ginger scents and this is no exception. It's complex and honestly there is a lot going on here that I cannot put my finger on. I don't like it enough to justify adding a full bottle to my collection, but if you like spicy citrus, this one is worth checking out.

Reminds me of Prada infusion d'iris. I don't care all that much for this type of iris. I've worn them in samples before. Types like Chanel 1957 (which is a better representation of this genre than 16 orchard) or Ormande Jayne Tsarina. And I also worn the Prada for 1/2 a day. I just find these type of dry iris scents monotonous especially when they are overlaid with tart citruses and vague spices like this fragrance is. Is it bad? No just boring. These types of irises are just so clean, so crisp that they lack any real interest for me. I will say the dry down is a lovely feminine musk but for the price point I can just wear a musk fragrance like Finery without a trace.

Fell in love with this. Its like drinking a spiced ginger cocktail in a very expensive suede jacket...BUT it's gone in an instant. Literally lasts less than an hour on my skin and doesn't fare much better on clothes. At €205 it is a very expensive eau de cologne. What a shame.

A musky scent with citrus top. The musky facet of 16a Orchard has similarity to Adr-ett by the same nose Frank Voelkl maybe comes from the top note musk Helvetolide. But 16a has a citrus top and a more delicate musky base.
