Amber Musk Santal

Fantastic scent. Cozy, warm, feminine, elegant, sweet but just enough. My first AERIN full size, as I felt this one was worth it. Doesn’t last too long on skin (maybe 4 hours), I found it’s much stronger on clothes for me.

This is just heaven in a bottle. Smells like a warm hug, my boyfriend loves it too.

Amber Musk Santal is everything I wanted from Amber Musk. They are both beautiful light, airy, everyday, inoffensive skin scents. However, AMS performs longer, projects slightly stronger, and is much more cozy, warm, and sweet. Amber Musk feels more fresh but its longevity is questionable, so I end up layering it with amber/vanilla scents to get more projection. I don't think you necessarily need both, but if you're trying to decide between the two and enjoy sweeter Vanilla fragrances, I would go with Amber Musk Santal.

I enjoy the original but never hit the bullet to buy a bottle as I feel it’s a light wearing, airy, easy reach of a perfume, and the performance isn’t great. Unsurprisingly for a fragrance that has 3 of my favourite notes in its name Amber Musk Santal is a very enjoyable scent to me. It definitely maintains the DNA of the original but I feel the sandalwood adds a bit of edge that just swings it for me. Again the longevity isn’t super. But it smells really good. I’d be interested to do a side by side wear test.

This is really a flanker. The OG DNA is definitely there. It has much more coconut, and the sandalwood is unmistakably amped up. There is an undertone of Aerin’s Gardenia Rattan in this. Both Amber Musk and Santal are beautiful. But for me, OG is better. I love OG; I like Santal.

And here we go again with another weak scent! Longevity is at best 2 hours; during high humidity and summer heat. There is coconut. Sandalwood is very diluted. Out of the 7 full bottles of Aerin fragrances that are in my collection, this one is tepid, timid, and would be great for an office atmosphere. There is nothing offensive at all about this fragrance. Just a bit too much like the original. You do not need both. Layered with the body creme, remarkably seems to dilute this further to a more intimate scent, which is confusing.

Tried it today on my wrist. Clean, light but also intens almost sopy. Amber Musk is deeper and cosier.

Got a sample from Nordstrom. Ended up smelling way sweeter on my skin than on the paper. Too sweet for my liking. Has a pretty strong throw, and can definitely pick up Amber and Santal notes.

Just picked this one up and it's an instant love! So far it has better performance than the original - maybe 5-6 hours. It's a perfect combo of the original and a woody peacefulness if that makes sense. I wore it to bed, I wore it out running errands and I might need to grab a backup bottle

Terrible longevity and projection! Had to stick my nose in my arm to barely get a whiff of it! Totally not worth it. The scent is a basic clean musky sandalwood but I literally could not smell it and it was gone in less than 1.5 hours.

This reminds me of a combo of Missing Person and Juicy Gold, though less sweet. Becomes enveloping as you wear it, I woke up in a fluffy cloud of it. I wish it was still around
