Limone di Sicilia

So one day I was shopping at mall and stopped at The Cosmetics Company Store (outlet of Estée Lauder and it’s brands). I saw this perfume heavily discounted and decided to blind buy. Original Price was $260 and I paid $130. I am SO GLAD I took a shot...it is beautiful, delicate, sunny and perfect “clean girl” scent. It opens up with mouthwatering citruses and fresh white flowers. And as time goes on, rose starts to pick up slightly and adds slight sweetness and powderiness... Overall, a very beautiful, universal, bright scent. On my skin it lasts about 3 hours and projects within arm length. I don’t expect very high performance from citrusy scents, plus considering the price, I am still very happy. I don’t have anything like this in my collection. It suitable for literally any possible occasion, time, season and age. The bottle and presentation is beautiful and very high quality. I think $260 is a bit too much for this perfume, you have to really like citrusy perfumes to justify, but if you see it discounted 50% definitely grab it.

WOW!! My favorite citrus fragrance on the market! Simply done and fantastic! Does not smell like a house cleaner. Lasts all day and attracts all the best compliments. The dry down into a citrus jasmine is awesome! Not one hint of bitterness. Just a great every day fragrance!

Limone di Sicilia is a very refreshing fragrance! I love the smell of fresh lemons and bergamots and the longevity is quite long. I love it and I totally recommend it — alongside Fleur de Peony!

Limone di Sicilia is one of my favorite fragrances! It's a lovely, light, fresh, and sunny lemon scent. The dry down on me is smells like a real lemon — which I love that even more!

Its a bit too flat for a lemon fragrance in my opinion. Some sourness in the beginning from the oakmoss. Poor longevity and way overpriced as Aerins generally are. I’d like it a bit crisper. Gorgeous presentation and concept but the fragrance needs a bit more development to perform better, needs more sillage and staying power. Lovely core idea though and not a bad fragrance, I like it a lot. But would be nice if it projected a bit more. And a bigger blast of lemon for the opening please. I appreciate that it is trying to make a more complex lemon, with a whole flower garden in the background. Those who say it smells like Clinique Happy, no, really no. Happy is a very simple fragrance this is much more faceted. But just does not get all the way there.

I don't usually purchase lemony scents, but this was gifted to me by my sister. I really love the Aerin line and I hope to purchase more of their scents. I adore the Mediterranean Honeysuckle and the 'In Bloom' version which sold out almost immediately. So I was pleased to obtain this brand which was heavily discounted at an outlet. Limone is a high quality scent, which is exquisitely packaged in a leathery-typed box, dyed yellow. The bottle is so beautiful with its gold cap and rope on the neck, as opposed to the stone top on the other scents. It also has a beautiful gold plaque on the front. Unfortunately the scent doesn't last long at all. After one hour I couldn't detect it. What a shame, because I love everything else about Limone di Sicilia.

I have tried on two separate occasions. It’s not bad. I get lemon, but at the same time I get too much lemon seeds, the dominant note throughout. If that did not dominate the scent on my nose, I think it would be a refreshing interesting scent. Update: 5/26/2023. I sprayed again today. And I get less lemon seeds, and it smells slightly nicer with the rather complex lemon scent. Upgrading to like. I agree that it’s nothing like Happy.

This smells very much like Origins Spring Fever! Probably a tad more sophisticated but the same fragrance nevertheless! (Both Origins and Aerin are owned by the Estee Lauder Companies. Origins Spring Fever was discontinued in 2009 despite immense protests against this.) If you loved Spring Fever, you should definitely try this one!

Lemony mimosa with a base similar to most Aerin fragrances, clean and crisp with light floral. I agreed with previous comments on longevity. Only like 2 ish hours on my skin. Great citrus scent, I don’t get any Pledge like cleaner smell... maybe a bit pricey for longevity reasons.

The lemon here is very nice. It doesn’t smell like cleaner or bug spray. Mixed with a white bouquet blooming in the sunshine. I’m grateful for the previous post about child labor in Egypt for Jasmine in perfumes. We can make better choices with our money.

A lovely, light, balanced floral and lemon scent. The dry down on me is similar to Omnia Crystalline, which I like very much. If it had more projection and staying power, I'd consider buying the bottle. I just can't spend that much on something that doesn't last and I can't smell without putting my nose to my skin.

The opening is a refreshing and zesty lemon, perfect for hot weather. However, after around 15 minutes, the fragrance turns sharp and slowly loses that citrusy DNA. Now, seven hours after spraying Limone di Sicilia, all that is left is a nondescript musky sharpness. What an unfortunate turn.

Can’t smell the lemon unfortunatelly (I am a citrus lover!). But the Lily of Valley comes through and that is not a favorite note of mine. So it’s a big No for me.

The production of this perfume is exploitative and morally bankrupt. According to BBC’s documentary, https://youtu.be/3295wEpmajo?si=JQBps3PRh-_PDwcu , the Egyptian Jasmine found in the fragrance is picked by children throughout the night in horrifying conditions. At the end of the day, the mother and her children only get 1$ overall for their work while one bottle of this perfume costs 275 dollars!!! This use of child labor to create an unnecessary luxury is abhorrent and Aerin should be absolutely embarrassed. There was even a little girl in the documentary who began to lose her sight because of her severe allergies to picking jasmine all day. As consumers, we should make the conscious decision to not enable these harmful practices and stop buying perfumes from L’ORÉAL and Estée Lauder who own Aerin Beauty since they use Jasmine oil in their perfumes which is produced from child labor and exploitation in Egypt.

I almost plunked down $150 today at an outlet for this. I LOVE Aerin perfumes, and this one smelled pleasant and lemony on the tissue she sprayed. The SA told me this smells very similar to Happy, but based on the opening on the tissue, I didn't quite agree with her. Because it was still pretty expensive, I asked if she would spray my arm. She bent the rules and gave me a quick spray. She was SOOOO right-- the dry down is almost a total dupe for Happy. Don't get me wrong, I love Happy. It was my signature in the 90s, and I still have a bottle plus a backup.... but I would not have been happy to spend $150 (at less than half price!!!) for a Happy dupe. They're even in the same Estee Lauder parent company, so you'd think they wouldn't produce such a similar product. I was thankful for the warning from the SA, and I'm so glad she sprayed my arm instead of just going by the test tissue. It's a lovely fragrance, but you can get Happy discounted for MUCH less. Based on my arm test swatch, Happy's longevity is the same or better as well. Save your Aerin dollars for one of her other masterpieces!

It should be a crime that I forgot to write a review on this one lol! Every time I smell this fragrance this is what I envision: Myself prancing and twirling through a Lemon tree orchard in the warm spring in the south of Italy. My hair breezing through the light wind, the gleaming smile on my face, just pure happiness from enjoying the beautiful sunny day. This fragrance truly encapsulates that imagery as they’ve done an excellent job at balancing that true native Italian citrus with that warmth from the sun, while also adding that feminine rose and jasmine to make it very womanly. This is one of the very few citrus fragrances that’s really complex and not like any I’ve tried. Aerin is actually a great sub brand from Estee that actually make great fragrances and I highly encourage others to try the brand out. I also love ambrette de noir from Aerin too!

This is very similar to Happy as people say. But if you want Happy, buy Happy, it's better! This just reminds one of Happy, very similar notes but definitely not a dupe. This smells more refined, like Happy, refined. more old ladyish. No offense. I came of age in the 80's, myself. Happy isn't something I wear now, though I had my fling with it in the 90's. I still don't hate the smell, it's not unpleasant I just don't want it in any way, shape or form and can't say why.

I love the way this starts - a gorgeous glass of sparkling lemonade against a backdrop of LOTV. However, turns a bit sour on my skin after a time. If only it would stay like it's opening all the way through! I'd get Mediterranean Honeysuckle instead if I were to choose between the two. I also got this second hand. I can't imagine paying $350 CAD for this new. C'mon, Aerin, you're not niche.

I am dying to try this perfume! Can someone please sell me a sample? I would really appreciate it!
