Linen Rose Eau de Cologne

I’m OBSESSED. Nose has been glued to my wrist all afternoon. The opening is a fresh burst of roses. Not totally unlike Chloes Roses which was my scent of the morning. The rose is paired with a salty sea/oceanic accord. Then over time, the rose note fades, and the creamy ylang/coconut begins to take over. Overtime it becomes more sweet and gourmand, yet somehow never losing it’s beachy vibe, while also avoiding becoming a sunscreen scent? It’s amazing, I don’t know how they did it, it’s like there are two totally different fragrances inside this one bottle, and they perfectly transition from one to the next. 4 hours in, and I’m getting the impression of eating vanilla pudding in the sand with the ocean waves lapping at my legs. This fragrance played with my mind, and tugged at my heartstrings. And it’s not even faded yet. I have the rollerball and performance is impressive for an eau de cologne. One little dab around the front and back of my wrists and it has been noticeable for the past several hours without a decline in strength. I bet the spray is phenomenal. I’m gonna need a full size bottle anyways though because now I can’t imagine my life without this fragrance. It might be the only summer scent I’ll ever need. What an amazing find, if you love rose fragrances + creamy tropical gourmands, and would like a combination of the two all wrapped in one fragrance please check this one out! At least the price for the rollerball is well worth it.

I am speechless at this perfume. It’s one of the most beautiful rose-vanilla combinations I’ve ever smelled. I love the descriptions people are giving about catching some of the different notes on a breeze. The rose isn’t very prominent but it is most definitely there. I was worried the vanilla-coconut vibe was gonna give it a “sunscreen” vibe but it’s not really. I love the touch of saltiness mixed with the warm, ambery, vanilla-coconut. I can definitely see how people could see this as a gourmand. It’s perfectly sweet, super light, and just gorgeous. I feel like this would be the perfect scent to wear to a daytime beach party, sipping drinks by the ocean, and just catching some Sun. Since it’s an EDC, the longevity and projection aren’t amazing, but it comes in a 6.8 oz bottle so don’t be afraid to overspray with this one. I can’t wait for it to get warm so I can wear it! Lastly, I’ve never ever considered getting a backup bottle of anything except for this. It’s THAT good. I think this fragrance, and the garden collection in general, was released before it’s time. I think people would seriously love this one if it were to be re-released now in 2023. Aerin, bring this one back full-time!!!

Linen Rose is a soft and tender scent that works best on warm skin. When I tried it on a cooler spring day, I had to wait for it to dry down half an hour, otherwise it was a little soapy. On warmer days it smells good from the beginning. This is so creamy, airy and dreamy. In its core it's a classic floral of rose, orange blossom and ylang ylang with a hint of vanilla. All those notes are interpreted in a soft, sweet, fresh way. The coconut gives it a subtle twist and makes it special, it's warm and delicious and uncommon in this kind of composition. I like how this is refreshing and clean, but warm and inviting on the skin. While it seems like this doesn't perfom on everyone, I get beautiful wafts of a sweet floral aura for hours when I just have this on my arm. I generally have skin that carries perfume very well though. For those who don't, this comes in 200 ml bottles and can hardly be oversprayed, so it's fine to apply a bit more. To me, the bottle size is a negative point though. I wish this came in 50 ml, that would be more affordable and realistic to use up.

Linen Rose is a classy coconut-rose floral, perfect for warm weather. The coconut is very subtle, unlike some of Lauder's vetiver-coconut summer fragrances such as Bronze Goddess Soleil. Linen Rose looks and feels a bit oily on the ,skin, like fragrances used to in the old days like the 1960s. I like Linen Rose a lot, but the bottle is huge, 6.8 oz. I would have preferred a bottle half the size at half the price. ....... I wish Lauder would do more rollerballs -- a great way to try out the fragrance at length before committing to a full bottle, also a way to touch up your fragrance on the go. Make it up in volume, guys. EL is late to the party on this one.

Hmm...the opening of this perfume smells like clean, fresh sheets. Is this where the "linen" part of the name comes in to play? No hint of rose or other flowers to me. The middle note of coconut starts to emerge after two hours--maybe a touch of sea notes as well. In all, I find this an unobtrusive scent perfect for work. Linen rose captures the lightness of summer. I imagine this is the scent of returning to a summer cottage by the ocean. You unpack the the linens and change the bed sheets as the sea breeze from an open window wafts in and mixes with the smell of an iced coconut water on the table.

This is such a warm light rose scent. I like a prominent rose that doesn’t overpower and this is perfect. So many rose fragrances just scream ROSE when you spray them, but this is more like you caught a whiff of rose on a cool spring breeze.

Mum wears it (sometimes) every weekends, even me! Rose and vanilla with hints of salty amber!

Rose, vanilla and coconut... what a beautiful and unexpected combination.

My mom ordered free samples of the entire rose cologne collection and she loves each but she let me have this one. I like that it's not as rosy or aquatic as described here. The others are overwhelmingly 🌹 oriented and I don't love that. This has a vanilla, ylang ylang and coconut 🥥 base, but it's so light. On the card it doesn't say specifically orange blossom, but "Orange Flower petals" and maybe that's there, but it's not citrus-y to me, although Lemon leaves are mentioned but not noticeable. Has a tastiness and sweetness. There is zero sea salt or oceanic notes and I wouldn't describe it that way with the 4 🌹 notes in the sample description. It's feminine and airy. Wear it to the beach or near water lounging.

Yes, this one is the most interesting: salty coconut and golden amber make it smell clean and gourmand, sensual like warm skin, and yes, like drying linen. And it is very rosy too. I would have it together with Garden Rose. They both are very beautiful.

Meh. Good for the office and places where you want to be well dressed, groomed and correctly perfumed, but nothing special. I expected something modern with the coconut water, but it turns as just a conservative scent.

It’s kind of clashy and weird to me. A lot of themes/ingredients that I don’t feel go together well, there’s just too much going on. Aquatic rose? Coconut rose? Eh. And then all the floral notes with that artificial coconut still in the background. The rose is there, but not so much that I’d think oh, this a rose scent. This rose is like hand soap rose, I prefer a more woody warm antique kind of rose. I’ll pass

... So if your family are billionaires and famous you can sell perfumes that cost $150 in pretty bottles that smell worse than Revlon Charlie . And get your photos on chic magazines . Watery mists that make Calgon bath sprays look like Hermes. Excuse me while I remember that I no longer have confidence in this company .

To me this smells like Lemon Pledge with some salt. Not recommended.

It’s not for me unfortunately. It may be that the coconut does not agree with my olfactory senses. I do have a perfume with coconut, but that one smells rather nice. This one it is somewhat off putting. Bummer. I thought rose and vanilla, coconut would be amazing. Just not for me.

This is a boss babe selfie with a laptop on the beach and an iced vanilla latte, perfect manicure dainty rings envy me scent. Aerin here captures desire, longing, money, escape. Eau de vacation sex, Eau de sexy laundry, Eau de look how rich I am this is my beach house.

This is a gourmand vanilla amber scent with hints of coconut and ocean air. I love rose but I agree with the others who don’t smell it at all in this one. If you’ve tried Coconut Skin Trip Lotion, this reminds me of it so much. Lots of Vanilla and Amber, with Beachy coconut and sea salt relegated to the background. I know Aerin made this scent as an homage to her garden in the Hamptons. It does evoke a feeling of hanging out in your backyard on a summer’s day with the smell of the beach wafting over you.

This perfume is so underrated. Smells incredible from start to finish, I was rather surprised to see that coconut was listed, nothing coconut about it to me but that could just be my nose. All I smell is a beautiful light and airy rose mixed with vanilla. Truly spectacular! Has a very light powdery feel to it as well, not the mature powder though, just soft light and airy.. like a sweet angel, and she's oh so comforting :) I feel beautiful when I wear it.
