Mediterranean Honeysuckle Mimosa

The regular Mediterranean Honeysuckle has been one of my favorite scents since it came out, and mimosa is one of my favorite notes - so I had to have this when I saw it existed. Ordered the bottle, unsniffed, blindly trusting Aerin Lauder to deliver another winner. Thankfully, she did indeed deliver. That said, there is not a huge difference between the original version of MH and this Mimosa-positive version. When I first apply it, the honeysuckle does veer much sweeter than the original. However, after a couple hours, it settles down almost identically on my skin. This is a "clear", watery floral - slightly citrusy and has always struck me as a classy and confident, but laid-back fragrance. It does bring to mind Aegean blue, lemon yellow (but not lemons - the grapefruit is definitely the source of the citrusy and "watery" notes), and crisp white, as well as wearing clean linen pants by the sea. The mimosa isn't noticeable as its own note, but I do think it is what lends the sweeter vibe to the initial spray - it is amplifying the honeysuckle. It has surprising sillage and lasting power for its fragrance category. I receive compliments regularly and am always able to smell it on my clothes at the end of the day or even the next morning. Yet, it is light enough to be an office scent. This one is a winner but probably unnecessary if you already have the original.

I am a huge fan of yellow florals and Mediterranean Honeysuckle Mimosa is a rare find. Mediterranean Honeysuckle Mimosa is a fun, sunny, bright, happy and very distinctive. The opening to my nose is iced tea with a mellow black currant blossom — which they smell so sweet. It instantly made me think of a sunny day in Xavier School Nuvali. The next phase is a warmer tea with honey notes and even lots of mimosas — which I love. There is an underlying mossy and woody scent that is so pleasant to my nose because of vetiver and oakmoss. I had to say that Mediterranean Honeysuckle Mimosa smells so divine! And eventually, on my skin, I smell mimosas, black currant blossoms, oakmoss and vetiver. Mediterranean Honeysuckle Mimosa is definitely the best Aerin fragrance ever.

I think this is better than the original. I think it’s the top notes with bergamot and grapefruit that make this more well-rounded. The original also has citrus opening, but it does not seem to be that harmonious. There is a flanker, “clementina” a new version that will be introduced for the summer. And I think I like that one the best. But then again, I dislike the original, so it is not the strongest endorsement, but clementina is still pleasant. Mimosa is nice compared.

I really like this one. Here mimosa is not sweet and round but instead sitting next to the slightly sharp, fresh, crisp, green currant blossom and brightly grapefruit. Very fresh, contemporary, brightly, sunny take on mimosa. Its like wading through the bushes on the roadside in Cap Ferrat, sea breeze in the air with yellow wild flowers facing the sun. It makes me happy. Despite being overpriced, I have come to really like Aerins and now have a collection - they are fresh, elegant and easy to wear.

This was my go-to daytime, work fragrance for a long time. The notes listed are pretty spot on. It is a beautiful, delicate yellow floral scent with very subtle citrus that does not offend the nose. I am super sensitive to citrus notes, but this one does not bother me. I don't pick up on the moss or vetiver too much. Sadly, this performs poorly on me, lasting for maybe 2 hours on my skin.

I like this version INFINITELY better than the original. I imagine it’s the bergamot, mimosa and get over that give this a more grounded almost creamy vibe that I really appreciate. Feels like an easy every day wear for warmer months.

Fun and sunny, the marketing photos do capture the vibe. Citrusy floral, kind of shampooy. Bright and happy but not very distinct. Agree with the reviewer below that all Aerin scents are similar. They're all worn by the same girl, she is nice and well groomed but a little forgettable. That's not necessarily bad, this is very easy to wear. I just know I won't remember what my sample smells like once I finish it.

So I’ll preface this by saying that I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of yellow florals so take this with a grain of salt. The opening to my nose is iced tea with a mellow neutral lemon, it’s not tart or sour in anyway but also not sweet. It instantly made me think of a sunny day even though there are zero solar notes. The next phase is a warmer tea with honey notes and even more mild lemon, the sunny day energized vibes have passed and we’re hammock chillin now. There’s an underlying floral and powder scent that’s not pleasant to my nose mixed in with the honey tea. I’d say the powder leans towards baby powder/baby wipes. Eventually, on my skin, this turns to hairspray.

I had a chance to sample a few perfumes from the Aerin line. And they all seem to be soliflores that smell very similar. This is another white floral. I love the tuberose. The honeysuckle blends in seamlessly with it. And the mimosa gives it a slightly herbaceous feel, almost like immortelle. It's not powdery on me. It's ever so slightly soapy, but that's not very detectable. Like a hint of violets. It smells very clean. I think it's the violets giving it some staying power.

Great! I hope its not like her last honey suckle where my cats would follow me around the apartment and rub against me every time I wear this. For the record, I AM NOT A SCRATCHING POST AERIN LAUDER
