Rose de Grasse Joyful Bloom

I requested a sample of this and I had been waiting to try it out, so I chose this for my day out at the Van Gogh Immersive exhibit in Cincinnati. It was a nice, warm fall day and the weather was nearly perfect. I used 3 or 4 spritzes from my sample bottle. I was a bit concerned that I might have overdone it, but my riding buddy couldn't detect it and we were driving for over an hour. I could barely smell it at the time and I didn't pay any particular attention while we were enjoying the exhibit, but as I settled for the ride home, I noticed the scent of roses--6 hours after applying! I had definitely gotten the opening of bergamot and pink pepper, but I had thought the fragrance had already disappeared when I noticed the roses. The sandalwood note appeared as I was falling asleep at the end of a very enjoyable day. I've tried other rose perfumes that were more intense, so I haven't decided if this is full bottle worthy yet. I'll just have to use a bit more of the sample and see what happens

This is a beautiful, loveable, very classy, safe-buy, realistic rose. I wear it in bed, it makes the whole bedroom smell beautiful. I love the whole Aerin brand because it seems that a team of very serious people are behind it all. I also have Tuberose, Honeysuckle and Lilac fragrances from this house. All of them have been very carefully-crafted to provide us perfumistas with a range of flower fragrances which have a highly realistic smell, using high-quality ingredients. I always feel loved when wearing this rose fragrance: loved by experts who care deeply about their work.

I have samples of this, the original Rose de Grasse, and Rose de Grasse pour Filles, and this one is my favorite! It’s such a unique, delightful fragrance. I work the perfume counter of a department store and I asked my coworker’s opinion of it, without telling them the name, and they said “I love that! It makes me happy,” so it truly lives up to its name haha

I love Rose de Grasse Joyful Bloom! It smells so fabulously joyful! The Indian rose stands out so graceful on me and the Italian bergamot and Australian sandalwood gave me some warmth and comfort. Overall, Rose de Grasse Joyful Bloom is one of my favorite fragrances. The others are Limone di Sicilia and Aegea Blossom — which I also love.

Received a sample with my most recent purchase and Im loving it. It reminds me of Melrose Place, another modern-rose scent. It smells like my grandmothers soap but upgraded with modern freshness and vanilla. Its comforting, clean, and very femme.

Aerin Rose de Grasse: Joyful Bloom represents the Queen of Flowers beautifully, but it's not distinct enough from my other excellent rose frags to justify the expense (for that kind of money, I'd just as soon go Guerlain). The most noteworthy commonality among all the Aerin-branded perfumes is that they're overpriced, at least relative to their classic Estee Lauder counterparts, and they don't offer nearly as much bang for the buck in terms of projection and duration. That said, I likened RdG: JB to Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose, and I don't mean that as a slam to the Aerin Lauder fragrance, because I consider the PW Tea Rose to be one of the best hyperrealistic rose scents around, its unbelievably inexpensive price point notwithstanding. RdG: JB is spicier and has a deeper and more complex wood base, but the juice isn't markedly superior to its drugstore counterpart. If it smelled exactly like PW Tea Rose but had fantastic longevity, it might be worth more than $100 per 1.7-ounce bottle, but I won't pay that much money for a very good rose scent that doesn't last significantly longer or project any better than the PW Tea Rose. Aerin Lauder's grandmother made the company by offering value to working women of modern means; Aerin seems to be turning her back on these women in favor of catering to their bosses' bosses.

Woah! This is a jammy rose done in a way I've never smelled before - generally they're pretty intense, and extremely sweet and/or thick, dense, whatever word you want to use for it, but this one is quite restrained. It wouldn't feel out of place inside a Jo Malone store. Pink pepper usually makes a VERY bold impression but it's only just detectable here, and pairs well with the benzoin. And I love, love, loooooove when perfumes use benzoin, myrrh or olibanum in place of amber. They're so much more agreeable to my nose! Anyway, to me this is equal parts fruity, rosy and ambery, but as I said it's not shouting for attention. Great option as an office scent or just in general whenever you feel like wearing something more lowkey. The benzoin gives it a bit of warmth that to me always adds a "cosiness" to a perfume, one that can turn a spring/summer scent profile into one appropriate for AYR wear, and I feel the same about Joyful Bloom! Maybe you'll want to reach for something even MORE warm and/or gourmand in the dead of winter, but this will still work if you like to stick to one signature scent. It may not reinvent the wheel but it does what it needs to do extremely well. And, since we've already mentioned Jo Malone anyway, I'll go ahead and say I like this x100 more than Red Roses.

Very similar to the original Rose de Grasse. Competently done; perhaps lacking in imagination. But it genuinely smells like rose. I like another flanker better: Pour Filles version, which is understated beautiful. I got this to layer with a perfume that is predominantly white florals. Combines well with Ikat jasmine. I think it would work well with tuberose, honeysuckle, orange blossom, etc. Update 06/04/2023. I sprayed this lavishly in warmer weather, and the dry down is quite nice. It’s not so straight up rose. I am upgrading to like.

Purchased this at Cosmetics Company Outlet at a great price. Gorgeous bottle, fabulous scent. This is a warm spring day, wearing a white dress, feeling in love with life, while clutching a bouquet of pink roses. I use this as a total mood lifter, especially on dreary January days. The roses are tender and pure, and the blackcurrant gives a little edge, but not too much. Lasts three to four hours, and really lives up to its name "Joyful Bloom". Love this!

This is stronger than the original in both longevity (5 hours) and silage (a few sprays are noticeable about 6 feet away). The strong bergamot note at the start really helps it stand out without smothering the rose. Honestly, I like this more than I do the original. On the other hand, I can’t justify paying so much money for it. I’d be better off layering a citrus heavy scent over Pure Grace Nude Rose and saving my money.

This is a youthful pink rose with subtle fruits in the background. It's very nice but doesn't last at all. Tried this at Saks Fifth Avenue directly on my skin. Comparing to the original Rose De Grasse, I like this one better. The original is a bit more mature. Smell: 8 out of 10 Longevity: 3 out of 10 Feminine For reference, I'm female.

Olds like me will remember Cameo soap. The first whiff of this is exactly Cameo. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing - Cameo smelled wonderful! I am a lover of rose scents and this is very rosy. Maybe brighter than my favorites (Stella, Diptyque Eau Rose EDP) but very wearable and fresh smelling.

It’s a light, citrusy rose, very much like MFK À la Rose except less harsh to my nose. I’m not really a fan of this type of rose scent, but it does smell clean and bright. Nice for spring time.

A young carefree slightly fruity slightly dewy rose. Nice for hot summer days. Musky base. Pretty easy dumb reach for summer rose lovers.

GRAPEFRUIT in rosy cosmetic water It's joyful and youthful. It's feminine but I want men wear this too, It'll be attractive and fresh.

It's got a fruity sweetness that the others don't have—My favorite version before Rouge came out.

It's a young, carefree and sweet rose. Very pleasant. Could consider a full bottle.

I got a sample of this and it is right in my wheelhouse—floral with a peppery note—but I swear I don’t think it even lasted 2 hours. That’s fine for an inexpensive body spray but it’s not at all ok for a (very) expensive perfume. For comparison: Gucci Bloom Gocce di Fiori lasts 6+ hours on my skin and my 3.4oz bottle cost about half the price of a 1.7oz bottle of this Aerin. Just... no. Btw, I noticed another reviewer compared this scent to Ouai’s Melrose Place and that’s exactly right! They are nearly identical but MP is muuuuuch less expensive and, frankly, will last a lot longer.

Do you want a Fragrance that's very soapy, bright, fresh, clean, and an authentic rose? Then this is absolutely for you. It's rose, some soapy notes, some citrus and more rose. It's very,very clean,floral, and straight forward. It's definitely not for me, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. It's very pretty in a delicate way. It would be perfect for the office, a picnic,or even a wedding,because it's not overwhelming by any means. This is definitely best for spring/summer.

I wanted to love this as I am after a rose scent but this was terrible. There was no scent coming from my skin and I sprayed the bottle a few times. I thought it was me but l asked two different people and they said they couldn't smell anything either. Absolute dud!

It took me around 3 years to finish off a sample of this. What really pushed me into enjoying wearing it & even craving it, as opposed to just testing it once in a blue moon, was when I got seasonal work at a plant nursery. I mainly watered flowers in greenhouses, but I could be called upon to do anything. RDG Joyful Bloom blended so well with the environment. It's an effortless dewy floral. Modern but never synthetic. Super fresh. I liked it most as long as it was hot out. Humid or not, it worked. I didn't care about the fragrance any other time to be honest. I live in the midwest & fresh, dewy, floral fragrances are not my thing. I have rarely liked anything from that scent profile. Right now, not counting this, I can only think of 2 or 3 frags like that that I've actually enjoyed & wore for a while. I would definitely rather find an affordable dupe however.

My sample of Aerin Rose De Grasse Joyful Blooms came today... I always get excited to try new scents. I feel if I spray it and I like it I want it... I need calm down on the notion and chill. After this sat on me for a bit I'm like Hmm Ouai Melrose place smells better, it's cheaper and the lasting power is better. I felt like this scent disappeared on me within 2hrs. Moral of the story if you are loving or even lusting after this do yourself a favor and buy Ouai Melrose place instead.

I honestly think this smells very similar to Paul Smith's Rose in the dry down. The first blast was a beautiful citrusy and airy rose, a bit different from the OG. But after a few minutes it just settled into a soapy rose stem. Not a fan. Also reminds me a bit of Florabotanica with the herbal rose stem smell. I love photorealistic rose but I think the OG Rose de Grasse is better and more true rose. This one isn't anything special

I sniffed this before knowing the notes and thought it was half white floral and half rose - rose, but not Rose! It’s a softer rose with something syrupy. The citrus, that I now know if there after seeing the notes, makes this fragrance bright and is probably what cuts the rose down to size. Unmistakably rose, this perfume is a milder version of many strong rose perfumes that already exists.

I love rose fragrances that are fresh, airy and luminous--and Joyful Bloom hits all those marks for me. This is a rose scent that smells like a rose. It fits right in the middle of my casual rose and elegant/dressed up rose perfumes in my collection. I loved when I first sprayed it on and I still love it 4 hours....and it still smells so pretty.

It ́s a pretty fragrance. On my skin, it ́s very linear but that ́s no problem for me. It ́s feminine, a bit powdery, with a vintage feel. i think it ́s a safe blind buy if you like roses.

Smelled it the other day, a much fruitier version of the original I love it! The bottle has the white collar and is so much more modern looking than the original bottle. It’s beautiful!

It’s a pretty realistic rose perfume. I will say I wish it had some musk or something to tie it all together because it’s too floral for my personal taste. It’s still pretty!

A massive, dewy, realistic rose. Expensive, fresh and glorious.
